Full Bolt Carrier Group disassembly video.
Contacted Tom and within 30 minutes of emailing (on a Saturday night), he replied and said he’d send over a new bolt head. Stellar customer service I might say. He is definitely working overtime to appease the masses.
I disassembled the T7 to familiarize myself with the BCG and then figured I should do a video, so here it is!
Hope this helps you guys in the future!
Thanks for tuning in.

Your ejector spring should be stiff. The tension on the ejector pushes the casing against the direction of the ejection port once clearing the chamber, it flicks with the opposing force of the extractor claw. If that ejector spring is weak, bent or obstructed by a bur from machining it will not work as intended. Hope your T7 returns to functional soon!

Makes sense! I think I meant to say that it was kinda stiff to push in, like almost gritty. Some of the feeding issues I had were where the spent casing was still stuck on the bolt head, held in by the extractor claw. So it didn't even get pushed out. I'm expecting a bolt head sometime this week or next so i hope so too!

all mp7 videos i saw talk about them having issues, so its simply very good clone!

Definitely seems to be an extractor or ejector issue or even both lol hopefully the new bolt will fix all of your problems!

The ejector/spring seems to be the culprit... you have repeated stovepipes and FTE's in general. (In the previous video). The new Bolt should give you a MASSIVE amount of info on pinpointing the root cause... if you've tried Higher loads, and/or the new Bolt doesn't solve it... Tommy's got some explaining to do.

extraction? the cases extract from the chamber fine. its ejection and feeding that needs to be addressed.

The ejector didn't kick out the spent casing on a lot of my FTE malfunctions. Still waiting on the new replacement bolt head to come in

That is not an extractor pin thats an ejector a spring loaded ejector. Probably the key to all the problems all the videos seem to be failure to eject.

Is the top of the bolt carrier filled with tungsten?
@TheSlingGuy
@TheSlingGuy 17 күн бұрын
@@SmokeNGunsBBQ it is not, but apparently Tom has sent some carriers to some ranges that rent out mp7s to shoot, since the originals wore out and broke. And they were happy to report that it still worked. (Just what I’ve read, I haven’t bothered to validate it.) I mean it is only used to dampen the shock of the recoil, and considering it’s semi-only. It should be fine

Thats why it recoils so much. Sounds like its not a clone if its not built like the original. For so many cut corners I can’t justify the price tag.

@@johnb477 there’s less recoil than an mp5 though

Thats due to caliber doe. An mp7 in 9mm (mp9 i guess) would recoil more than mp5

@@epicfortnitekid8536 lol obviously haha. I was just trying to put it into perspective for the John, who said “that’s why it recoils so much”. Which… it hardly recoils at all
