I’m Australian, but live in the UK. My first ever trip to America was more than 30 years ago, I went to Tony Romas near Disneyland. I thought it was the greatest place on earth, all those ribs, giant baked potatoes. I talked about it for years. Now I know there’s better out there, but for nostalgia, each trip to the USA (more than 25 trips so far) I still pop in to a TR for the memories. Happy days. 😁👍

Tony Roma's was my childhood spot that I loved visiting. It's where I picked to go for my birthday dinners. Those ribs were the best thing I've ever had back when I was 12. So even though now I'm over 40, and have had BBQ that is significantly better, and have even smoked my own ribs that were better, I still have a soft spot in my heart for Tony Roma's and would still try to get to them from time to time. Most of them near me closed down now, but I know of at least one still open.

The Lobster is most likely frozen and the steak is low end cut but for $12 you can't beat it.

$11.99 is such a good deal for steak and lobster dinner with free breads. You can’t even get a McDonalds Big Mac combo meal for that price nowadays. I’ll take the steak and lobster anytime even if it is rated only 6.5. 😂.

We used to have a TR for many years but it closed down and never reopened. I used to enjoy the ribs and fries as they were tasty and reasonably priced. No steak and lobster for us, so I have no idea. For the price, I'd give it an 8.

McDonald's combo meals are almost the same price as this Roma deal and their food is mass produced, chemically injected and frozen. The McDonald's buns are also from frozen for those who didn't know. This Roma $11.99 special is a steal! I could eat this every other week if I lived near this restaurant.

Tried the steak and lobster Nov 2023 and it is really what you get for 11.99. Steak was like jerky and was terrible, the lobster ok. The star of the show was the potato. When I inquired about a salad the waitress said "what the hell do you want for 11.99"? (must have been a bad night for her)

UH, that's NOT a pretty decent lobster tail! It's hard, dry, and not much flavor according to DTM. So no, the free bread does NOT make up for it. Nor does that horrible low end, most likely chuck or sirloin steak. ICK!

When I first went there in 2001 when I turned 21, it was $7.99 , i was ok then, went a few times over the year but hadnt been in almost 10 years. Went back two years ago, it was $10.99 and it was really bad.

Frozen what looks to be a South African rock lobster tail, which is not very flavorful and the steak I bet is a beef knuckle steak. It's very cheap and very tough but can be marinaded to soften it up and slower cook time. You get what you pay for, and of that $11.99 they still make $9.00 profit.

I would eat there if I was in Vegas. $11.99 Steak and Lobster looks like you loved it it. Actually the lobster being tough is a good sign. Means that Tony Roma's boiling the shit out of it to sterilize and kill all bacteria. That the lobster had accumulated from sitting in a funky tank for a week. Like you said, dipping it in butter improved the lobsters flavor profile. A tough steak?? This is what your teeth and ketchup are for. The baked potato needed some sour cream. Next time ask for some.

Every time I’ve ate at Tony Roma’s, I’ve always gotten BBQ ribs which were always good. Which I think I’ll stick to because that steak & lobster didn’t look very good, especially that hard looking lobster!😂

No such thing as free bread. Ask Jean Valjean who spent 19 years in jail for that loaf of bread. Good to see you off the strip and checking out some downtown venues. The Grand ( Lady Luck ) has video poker and blackjack tournaments every Thursday. Anthony Curtis of the Las Vegas Advisor is always there. I think you might like it.

Wife and I went there a couple years ago… Tony Roma’s was horrid! I remember the olds days when the restaurant was an excellent choice… Will never go there again!!

Have you ever went to the Tony Roma's on Sahara . It was the original one. The ribs were delicious. If I'm not mistaken it was the place that a Mafia shooting happened back in the days when the Mafia ran Las Vegas.
