Fun fact 🤓☝: On the official guts and blackpowder wiki it is said that in the game the zombies are never referred to as "zombies". They are instead characterized as "mad cannibals". However, those within a higher position in religious circles (chaplains, priests, or higher members of the Vatican) recognize these cannibals as the undead. In addition, the infection begins during Napoleon's campaign in Russia, first canonically begins Vardohus Fortress in early 1813, then in San Sebastian in mid-to-late 1813. Then Leizpig at the end of 1813, followed by Kaub in December 1813 to January 1814. The fifth map chronologically is Catacombes of Paris in 1814 to 1815, the sixth map would be La Haye Sainte on June 18, 1815, the seventh map would be Hougoumont in 1815, and the last map would be La Ferme d'en-Haut also in 1815.

Fun fact: a newspaper in hougoumont tells what happened after the escaping of San Sebastian, it said that after escaping, one of their infantrymen got bitten. Due to this happening, they went back to shore, after reaching land they had an idea to find a camp near san sebastian if lucky, after several moments, they found a spanish camp(thats it, thats where it ends)

If you go in first person, press `, and put your items in your inventory, while having pressed P (no gui button) you'll have the full no gui experience. But again, you have to go into your inventory and click to switch items.

By the 1800s I believe that zombie was an actual term, but was more exclusive to African cultural practices like voodoo. A zombie was originally a body reanimated by magic or a potion that would do its master's bidding as a servant.
