It's lovely to see that the person who was the villain in the beginning had turned out to be the one we're all rooting for now. Imagine there was a Donna Sue in every workplace, someone who could crack the a-hole colleague/boss with their kindness!

Shame i never saw brenda as the enemy... Just the one that got broken in. Same thing happened to me. Honestly this channel amongst others are a huge help for some of us to regain the feeling of humanity.

💯 Brenda is the person who you feel sorry for, wonder what kind of upbringing she had and trauma she experienced. Also someone to ask what she is really like outside of work, then question if her answer is real or scripted.

@@crownedking_cj8890 It's a way of ending emails and letters in a polite, nice way, warm regards in particular infers fondness, as oppose to kind regards which is more formal.

The sad part is when you’ve done above and beyond for so long that it’s expected of you, when you stop doing it and just do what you’re actually paid for- they say you’re slacking and use it as reasons to quiet fire you. Or just straight up fire you.

This is when you leave paper trails showing you're doing exactly what your job title is: saving assignments, time cards, anything to show that you're putting in the effort the job requires. That way if they do fire you, you can sue for wrongful termination.

@@StephenBoothUK then those needs should be included in my job description and the pay should reflect that. Truth be told when this has happened to me, the rest of the team was doing the bare minimum or even less. Usually purely because I was doing so much. They always go to shit after I leave lol

Spouse is so used to working he has difficulties relaxing and hardly takes a full weekend. He’s getting better. It’s great when I’m able to day “oh good! You are playing a video game!”

I was a yes man at my old job, and it's clear they blatantly took advantage of me. I was that guy always working 6 day weeks, 10 hour shifts. It started off as me helping other people, but eventually morphed into me taking on all their responsibilities while they were never held accountable. Even though my pocket book has suffered, my sanity has improved.

You know, I see a lot of my old self in Brenda. I used to work so much that I barely had time to enjoy myself, see friends, go to family functions, etc. I’m so glad I broke out of that cycle, it’s undoubtedly given me such a boost to my mental health. You got this Brenda!

I really like Donna Sue and Brenda. She is like a mother figure in the workplace. She is the kind hearted and good person we rarely meet but who leaves such an impression on us. Brenda is literally an embodiment of my fears towards standing up for myself.

I relish the day Donna Sue TRULY gets through to Brenda; the "chaos" will be EPIC! The chaos I brought when I learned to say "No" at work, resulted in me switching careers but "No" - when you get good at it, becomes EXHILARATING!!

I worked 60+ hour weeks, nights, weekends, holidays for most of 41 years in IT; I worked all during cancer treatment in 2018, and my position was outsourced in 2020. I decided on early retirement; I was paid for 140 hours of unused vacation (California state law requires unused vacation to be paid) on my last day in addition to severance Good for Donna Sue encouraging Brenda to not be a workaholic 👍🏿

I was a Brenda. Years of struggling with ppl pleasing behaviors and high expectations that were placed on me once anyone realized I was capable. Some days are easier than others, but saying no to others and yes to myself has been a God send. ❤
