My name is Chrome i have been living in y cargo van for 6 years now. I started this lifestyle BROKE and IN DEBT and after t11 months of living the van life i cleared my debt and started to put my life back together and build for a better future. I have turned my original van into a badass camper van that is lifted with all the toys. Over the years i went from being broke and stealth camping in the city and sleeping at walmarts... to now, living fulltime in a jacked up van and driving deep off-grid into the backcountry and living life in the dirt. WOW LIFE HAS CHANGED.

Chrome, you are soooo Cool. I just called Karma Camper Vans because I saw what you were doing and thought it might work for me down here in Washington State. I told her I was watching this guy Chrome on KZfaq and called. He’s had a lot of trouble with those vans though. Last I knew he was going to transform those vans aside from his first one, and then sell them. But let the man be. He’s doing what he loves and he’s a happy guy. Just let him live life how he wants to 😃👍🏼

I'm so glad you finally bit the bullet and rented a camper van. In your defense, I'm sure you didn't know exactly how long your van would be off the road...otherwise I'm sure you would have rented one a little sooner. Cruze's excitement when he saw the van was adorable. ❤

Pacific Coastal was the airline - they have been a friend of dog rescues for a while now. Rescues especially in the north have benefited from them helping transport dogs to the coast. 🥰

For everyone asking Where's Cruz, this was a short flight & a ferry ride back. Chrome didn't leave him alone for days just a few hours. I'm betting he is on the couch or Chrome's mattress at the shop chilling out.

Hello winter folks! Right now in the middel part of Sweden their I lives, we have 1 meter of snow (thats normal) but we have -28 celscius (thats cold! Normal should be around -15 celcius) but beacuse of the wind the cold factor is around -34 celcius right now in the early night! Stay warm folks! From Peter Eriksson Sweden Europe 😊😊😊!

I have rented from Karma a bunch of times... always found the back windows to have privacy issues cuz the curtains dont cover well. I bring along an emergency blanket I have (not the disposable ones, a padded one) and use magnets like the ones I gave you, to hold it up. Game changer in the winter especially since the heater is pointed toward the cab.

Also recommend bringing a thicker non absorbant floor mat. Always put your shoes on it. It will catch dirt and water and keep the rest of the van cleaner longer. Use the soft mat they provide close to the bed cuz the floor will be cold. Oh yeah, bring slippers too. Small things that make the stay that much better.

I just became a shuttle operator on the evening shift 4 nights a week at the local airport where I live. Thanks for this video, Chrome. Encourage people to take their (airport) shuttles. It's free, and in the sub-zero temps, the services we render might be simple, but it helps people faster, easier, and more safely than trying put themselves in a pickle. Glad to see you're doing what you need to do to continue to take care of yourself and Cruze Bear. Love your channel & God bless.

One year ago today I took position of an amazing 2022 Mercedes 170 high top 4 by 4❤🎉 she's a year old today and it's only got 2,400 Mi on her😂 been working on the build out progress is being made the max air fans are in the bunk windows are in the solar is in the insulating is almost done and then up go to the walls😮😮❤😮 happy for your Chrome❤

Ooooi! It looks like you've got what I'm getting. Transit 250 high roof extended, lifted, with bigger wheels and tires. Mine will be insulated and rated for cold and elevation, so I won't need to winterize. I just got confirmation of my van today! I have a bear I have been dragging around the last two years between North Alberta and the Vancouver Island. I drive in the good months and fly in the winter. My husband seatbelts my bear in for my trips. You are never too old...

Pacific Coastal , yes flew in and out of Bella Bella when I worked there for a couple of years. Not many places to stay there though. There is a rustic hotel over on Deny Island that is just a 20 min sea bus ride from BB. Bella Coola has more to offer.

They filmed most of Rambo in Hope, BC. (Though there was some filmed all over Vancouver.) They have a Rambo museum in Hope even! A few years ago (sorry can’t recall exactly when) Chrome did a video there :)

Great video as always, one thing to remember though is photographs. Even though you checked their damage list - and showed it to us on video - it's better to err on the cautious side with "stills" evidence. Or should that be court-ious side, in case they decide through the legal process. As an extra measure send them your collection photos, so that you both have proof. I collect and deliver vehicles all over the UK, and we all have to take pictures, as they use less data on their system. On holiday a few years ago, I hired a Toyota Four Runner at LAX , and it was riddled with cigarette burns and stank of stale smoke. I made sure i took photos, for my own peace of mind. Also check inside, fuel and water and mileage, otherwise the onus is on you.

I'm glad to see that things are coming together for you. I watched your videos last year when your transmission failed. We did Bella Bella this past summer but we did it taking BC Ferries from Port Hardy. It was a short stopover, did a fishing tour, visited Shearwater resort, then back in the van, onto the ferry to Prince Rupert. We then went up the Cassiar to Watson Lake and the Yukon. You gotta do that! A Bucket list trip!
