There is no need to hydrate when drinking coffee. Although caffeine is a mild diuretic the amount of water most use in their coffee is more than adequate to.counter this.

How am I just seeing this now? All great information, thanks, Alyssa! I just happen to have a chef's recipe for homemade salad dressing that's yummy and good for you too! I make one recipe, keep it in a jar with lid in the fridge, and use 2-3 teaspoons per salad! 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 2 tbsp any vinegar you like 1 tbsp Dijon mustard 1 tbsp water Put lid on and shake! It's delicious and stays emulsified! My husband and I eat a big salad every day, so this recipe lasts a few days, then I make a fresh batch. No need to buy bottled dressings with long ingredient lists.

I’m a believer. I’ve done well at not eating inflammatory foods anymore. I’ve seen how much of a difference that’s made. Now I’m working at adding in anti inflammatory foods and am hopeful that will also make a difference. I’ve lost 120 lbs and kept most of it off for 7-8 years so I know I can make changes in my diet when I need to. I really appreciate the specificity of the information shared in this video.

I just found your channel today and I’m really excited to see all you have to offer. I was first diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis quite a while ago and after being on methotrexate for years found out that I didn’t have that at all. That in fact I have osteoarthritis. I don’t take any meds for that but I do take quite a few supplements. I’m excited to learn ways to lessen my pain and stiffness and also how to exercise and lose weight safely with my arthritis. 😊

I love these suggestions. I’ve been learning a lot about anti inflammatory foods but found it especially useful to also learn how much of it to try to incorporate into my diet. I lost 120 lbs. by counting calories, no special program, so I know I can make changes in my diet. It will be easy enough to use these suggestions and make some more changes that I’m hopeful will help me manage my osteoarthritis.

I need to get back to the good and healthy foods and away from the junk. I also need to put a focus on hydrating which I am not so good at. If I stay away from the night shades, is my body missing something important as far as joint pain is concerned?

I love cashews, walnuts, Brazil nuts, & pecans. I grind them up & sprinkle them on my salads because I can't eat them whole anymore. I don't have any upper teeth & dentures don't fit because I don't have enough bone for the dentures to cling to. I can't afford implants since my insurance won't pay for a whole row of teeth. I dont think our neolithic ancestors had yogurt or beans with their meat and fish. But probably had leaves and herbs to season their stews. But the women who did the grinding of grass seeds for flour had arthritis in their ankles. But very strong arms. 😅

Nuts, seeds(especially pumpkin seeds, almonds), avocado, blackberries, banana, green leafy vegetables(spinach, collard greens, Swiss chard) legumes(especially black beans, edamame), whole grains, low fat dairy products, vegetables(brocoli, cucumber,) have a fair amount of magnesium. Salmon, halibut, chicken breast.

I hope you don’t mind me asking but I’m getting conflicting information on tomatoes. I love tomatoes but hear they inflammatory. Do you recommend tomatoes or should they be limited? I’ve just found your channel. I have osteoarthritis in my knees so it’s great to get advice on how to reduce joint pain. Thanks so much for sharing.

Some people are more affected by certain foods than others. If you notice tomatoes bother you specifically, you may want to reduce. If you don't notice much of a change in pain, you may not be sensitive to them.

What do you think about turmeric blend supplement, with black pepper and ginger? I know you said it’s best to get it from food, though turmeric is not my go to food.

I have terrible food allergies: to fish, nuts, and some dairy. I know fish would help but I just can't eat it. Bone broth is helping me. Coffee is a bit of an irritant for me. I've noticed if I have too much...like 3 cups or more...I get very bad pain and inflammation.

I am enjoying your videos very much! You are very thorough with explanations. I was wondering if you could answer this question for me, I really like your two osteoporosis workouts that you do outside. My question is about stomping, I just always read so much controversy about the stomping and the possibility of silent fractures for those of us that do have osteoporosis/osteopenia. Can you please share your thoughts? Thank you so much I truly appreciate it.

Do you have a video of foods to avoid? I was just diagnosed with arthritis in my right hand, knees, and hips. The right hand now is just killing me. My ring finger is so tight and painful when I bend it, if I didn’t know better, I would think I had injured it in some way. And I never had issues with that finger. I’m trying to best maneuver my way through this because it’s new to me. It honestly seems like it came on me suddenly. My hip is the other issue. My knees, I can seem to manage…I do follow several PT’s online for exercises. It helps. Thanks again.

I have found that it is more important to avoid foods that cause inflammation eg. sugar, tomatoes, potatoes , and beef and eat healthy diet.

Actually I've reduced overall inflammation, and knee arthritis pain by following a very low carb diet. It has also allowed me put type2d in remission. Its not for everyone asit requires significant lifestyle mod but its saved quality of life.

Hi. Many thanks for this video, which is great. Im a vegetarian, so fish is a no-no. I do use flax seed oul, which is rich in omega 3. Is that a good substitute for fish. I do everything else. Keeping muscles strong is very important too. My experience over several years has demonstrated that to me many times over
