If you find a wounding laser weapon (pretty rare, in my experience), hang onto it. It's devastating when you add the scatter attachment as it seems each beam applies the wounding effect separately. I believe this would also work on a shotgun, but I haven't tested its effectiveness.

my favorite enchantment/Legendary was a Combat Shotgun with Explosive damage. I loved it. another one I had was a Plasma infused Lever Action Rifle. both where on my Alice playthrough

The Never-ending Double-Barreled Shotgun should definitely get an honorable mention here, because there is a certain quirk about it that it has an absolutely insane fire rate actually, but normally you of course get a reload every two shots so you don't really notice it much... However with unlimited magazine capacity it turns into a shotgun with a firing rate almost as fast as you can click :p

I know this is an old video, but my favorite legendary is the explosive radium rifle I got off a triggerman. It already had ballistic and radiation, but now it also does explosive, which has been the only reason I survived many encounters, especially once I made it automatic.

THERE IS NO BLEED RESISTANCE IN FALLOUT 4. Wounding Shotgun applies stacks faster than the ripper, specifically the double barrel. This thing is deadly, even against the toughest enemies in the game. They melt so fast that I can't think of a simile with similar melting rates.

For number 2, the never ending effect is OP on the double barrel shotgun

Surprised to not see a Two-Shot Handmade Rifle, Combat Rifle or Assault Rifle here. Some of the best general-use weapons in the game for any build.

I've only ever seen the wounding effect appear on one weapon, a 10mm pistol. In fact, it was my very first legendary weapon in my first playthrough! I kept that thing the entire playthrough lmao, it was awesome for saving weight! 18 play throughs later and I haven't seen any wounding weapons other than that first one. Sad times :(

One downside of two shot legendary effect is that two shot effect increases weapons recoil considerably. So, for automatic weapons I mostly prefer the assasins effect.

I know it has been years, but my favorite weapon I got has to be my instagating sledgehammer. I fully upgraded it. Now combine that with the rooted and big league perks with the fury chem and a yao guai roast. Also with the ninja and blitz perks if you so choose to (with a calmex chem if you can find one).

I once got an explosive minigun when I was level 5. That playthrough was hilarious.

Best I ever had I looted off a trapper at the lighthouse in the south of Far Harbor island. He was standing on the roof of a house next to the lighthouse, and every time I got near I died very quickly.When I finally killed him, I found it was a gatling laser with the radiation effect (+50 per shot, and that's a lot of shots) and a focusing muzzle. I don't use power armor, so I had quite a few fusion cores saved up. I used that gun to tremendous effect for the rest of the game.

I know the shishkebab is fairly weak but the other day I had a Super mutant drop an irradiated version. I proceeded to name it Toxic scourge. I'm in the process of maxing out nuclear physicist to make this a brutal weapon against humans.

The wounding laser minigun is so op you can bleed and enemy from any distance as laser mini is weirdly accurate plus you can stack that bleeding effect so much even the best enemies bleed to death as soon as you start up

I have the instigating gauss rifle and it one shots pretty much everything, makes the game pretty trivial especially when you have a lot of perks!

I remember once finding a Wounding Combat Shotgun Needless to say i dropped pistols as soon as I saw that beauty

I had the additional projectile on my gause rife, it was doing around 860 damage and I was a stealth build doing x4 damage so I could 1 shot pretty much anything

Explosive is much better on the plasma gun since the explosive legendary effect applies to every application of damage and plasma guns apply both ballistic and energy. Make the plasma gun a shotgun, so that's six pellets per pull of the trigger, and since each pellet does two sources of damage, that's twelve explosions, and if you hit, that again doubles the damage as it applies the direct damage and the aoe damage from every source of damage from each pellet. Just don't shoot at your feet.

A sub machine gun with wounding is really op. I managed to get it in a triggerman base, and you don't need to use a lot of ammo.

9:35 I actually got a Wounding Combat Shotgun off a legendary enraged fog crawler, which fires 8 pellets, meaning from close range you deal 200 damage to the target along with the 356 that a max perk CB deals. edit: I also have a Explosive CB :D

I don't play with mods and I found a Wounding Mini-Gun recently in some kind of small army place with gouls. To me I'd prefer the wounding Mini-Gun rather than the Explosive Mini-gun.

Id just like to point out that the explosive combat shotgun has to be the literal best weapon in the game. It scales with rifleman and demolition expert, sure, but throw a suppressor on that thing and it'll scale with mister sandman as well. Make a sneak build and melt people that are in buildings or close quarters with this, and use that instigating gauss rifle to drop people that are far away. Just a thought.

Got a neverending gamma gun, with an automatic dish. If the ammo wasn't so expensive, I'd use it more often, but it's way better than an irritated gamma gun. It can deal like 1500 rads per second with an upgraded dish and Nuclear Physicist. The weapon is nuts.

The "violent" and "mighty" legendary effects aren't too bad from my experience. While not quite as effective in the long term like bleed damage or infinite stagger, 25% raw damage increase (+25% raw damage AND limb damage increase for violent) makes some weapons pretty punchy like my 10mm pistol and combat shotgun I got pretty early on.

the two shot railway rifle is also good because it has a base damage of 100 and with nothing but the rifleman or commando perk you can get the railway rifles damage up to 400 damage per-shot add in some psycho and your dealing 500 damage per-shot witch is more than a stock rocket launcher if I'm correct

Furious is the best legendary effect, in my opinion, because no matter how bad the weapon is, it'll end up doing 100s of damage per attack. Furious tire iron does, say 18 damage on the first swing. Twice that on the second swing, then twice that on the third and so on.

Mostly agreed. Just suggesting of corrections. 1. Explosive Shotgun is the worst weapon against ghouls. Once the ghouls get close into melee distance or spawn nearby you, the Explosive Shotgun will take you out together with the ghouls. The same also applied to the Explosive Minigun. 2. Wounding Ripper is bad..really really bad for your health. You need to get hit a lot when closing to your target and keep getting hit a lot more while waiting for the wounding effect to slowly kill your enemy. It might be fine if you are in Normal difficulty. If you try to do it in the Very Hard Difficulty, you will die very quickly, even while wearing a Power Armor. Staggering Ripper is much better. 3. Two shot Railway rifle might sound good, but that only works well in Normal difficulty. Since Two shot reduces accuracy a lot and Railway rifle does not do too much damage, try not to use it in higher difficulty setting. The fully upgraded Unique Overseer's Guardian is better.
