Wow, I'm lucky enough to have seen Seljalandsfoss in Iceland just two weeks ago. What a beautiful sight, especially when the whole surrounding area is covered in snow! I also saw Plitvice last year, both incredible sights!

Thank you for this list. I have been to every one of these countries and have found a lot to like about each of them, with the exception of CLIMATE. I would not like to live in the frigid winters of most of them. Australia's climate is probably the most manageable for me.

Hey USA citizens considering a new country to live in.... please consider Australian. We speak the same language, eat the same food and have the same traditions. We have FREE medical, top wages and amazing free education. We don't get snow either in any of our large cities but you can got into the country to ski! Aussies will welcome you, we love our US cousins.

I live in Ireland. Just to correct you on one thing: The country's population isn't 7 million it's actually 5 million. Other than that, I'm really happy to see it on this and yeah I do agree with everything else that you've said about the country in this video. In fact, if anyone here is thinking about moving here, remember that it doesn't matter what nationality you are, everybody is welcome here! Irish people are always very friendly and very welcoming to everyone! Respect to you for putting the country here.

I lived in Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Spian and Serbia, and I would put Denmark in 1st place! Besides amazing infrastructure and job opportunities with good wages, the locals are the friendliest people on earth. Just having a walk down the street will fill you with such a positive energy because everywhere you look you will see people smiling, laughing, singing, etc. It is the only country I lived in where locals actually make effort for expats to feel welcomed and integrated (not something I could say for Switcherland). They love their country, you will see a DK flag on the windows of EVERY household, and for a good reason. Most of them stay in DK their whole lives without having any intentions of moving anywhere else (that''s why you will not see many danes around the world). Also, out of the bigger cities, the countryside is beautiful! So many green spaces with beautiful villages! It's the country that literally has everything you need for a very content life. The only thing that I don't like is the lanaguage (to me personally is the ugliest language alongside thai) but they all speak english perfectly, from little kids to very old people! I also have to add that is probably the best country to live in if you have a physical disability: having one myself I often felt discrimination in other countries, well not in Denmark! Besides the benefits and amazing social services, the people there just never made me feel different with starring or special treatments. Hands down the best place in the world!

Thank you sir, nice to see my Switzerland doing well. I am an American here now for 34 years and counting. 6 adult children born here and all did well with the world`s best apprenticeship system, and no debts for it. I love the beauty of this small country and the 4 language regions make it even more exciting. I still love driving and the sudden change of the signs in the Italian, and French speaking regions, as I live in the Swiss German speaking region, and love it. I grew up with a great father, but we were poor to the bone. He got into Buddhism after the army and his Christian upbringing and kept changing the places we were living in. He was a welder and artist, and kept busy with that stuff. No racism, no guns, no bibles, no flag waving, just respectful of others and low key. I love the amazingly beautiful Swiss churches everywhere, and yes I go in and relax. In America no, because it was not welcoming at all. Here never ever anybody attacking me, or questioning why I am inside the church. I sent a letter to Bern telling them this story and a woman wrote back that I am welcome and they are thankful for my feedback, although I am not religious at all. I lived in New Jersey, Idaho, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maine, Colorado, Oregon, Colorado again, then Washington state, where I finished high school in 1983. From there it was to my mom just north of San Francisco, where I studied classical ballet for 4 years. Then I met a Swiss girl in SF who was learning English, after her Paris stint for French. I am a mountain person so totally happy here, just like my favorite place, Colorado, in America.

So this is where “mango tango” has went, I wondered what you were doing after the mango tango channel was on break. Hopefully ya go back to that channel one day

Being from the U.S., I have not visited most of the countries on this list, but when I visited Switzerland I thought it was the the most awesome place I ever visited. Some may be personal taste since I liked the mountains and lakes, which is why western Canada is also special. . I thought though that Switzerland was expensive, so maybe that is just the case to outsiders visiting the country?

Interesting! I've lived in HK since 1982 - can't complain. Surprised my home country NZ didn't show up. I have spent a lot of time in Japan - considering a move, actually - I've always felt very at home there, Kyoto & Sapporo both beautiful in very different ways - Tokyo is a blast but 10 days is about as much as I can take, same with Singapore which is a great city but a bit boring - same weather all year round. Would like to check out Ireland & Switzerland for sure! Fun video.

Though agree with most of the rankings I would highly suggest New Zealand could arguably beat Ireland, Iceland, Denmark and Australia but I guess it all depends on how you are determining the ranking. Interesting though!

My grandfather came from Ireland to UK in 1895 because most Irish people were poor, glad to say his offspring have all worked hard, prospered and are very happy here in beautiful England.

Fantastic video! There was a time when my country (Sweden) were on these lists, now we are somewhere around 10-15 I think. Time to bounce back and defeat those Danes.

So, how easy is it to get into these countries as an expat? Most of the countries on this list are incredibly expensive. A List of the top 10 safe educated countries with good health and social services that one could actually get into, to work or retire, without paying half your money in taxes, would be more interesting.

I am so looking forward to the best cities to live in the US videos. Big, Medium, Small, Very Small, and Small towns. Heck, if you want to do it, Very Small Towns. I’d like to see the worst Big, Medium, and Small cities as well. Yeah, those video’s especially as the cities get smaller, are incredible!

Great video as usual. A couple of things I'd like to point out based on my personal experience. Yes, if you look at the data, Northern European countries always rank higher than the southern ones. However, you can't compare the quality of life you get in Southern Europe in terms of weather, fresh food and outdoor activities. Of course there are areas that you cannot quite consider valid locations to move to such as certain parts of Greece or the South of Italy, which are lagging behind with regards to labour market, health care and infrastructures. Nonetheless, I have lived in Spain for the past 18 months and I can guarantee the health care is spot on and so are roads and public transport. As for jobs, there are some fast growing insustries such as pharmaceuticals, tech and banking. On the top of this, you get nice weather all year round and the food is different level. TO MY EXPERIENCE (please don't come here and roast me, this is very much a subjective consideration), Spain is a significantly better place where to live compared to the Netherlands and the UK (where I lived most of my life). The second aspect I wanted to bring up is the economy. The size of the economy is often misleading: London, LA, Hong Kong, Amsterdam or even Dublin certainly have solid economies and plenty of jobs, but if you are working class, good luck with buying a preperty and having access to an acceptable lifestyle. Everything is too expensive, housing space is very limited and the gap between the rich and the poor is getting more and more substantial.

why there is no Sweden and New Zealand?

If I may add: Switzerland is only so expensive because of how stable their economy is as well as the extremely high incomes people have there. So if you were to move there with a Swiss Job, you'd likely be able to hold yourself up just fine

25 years ago the Netherlands was a nice country to live in. Now there are to many problems; high taxes on income, homes, cars, food, gasoline etc., no affordable homes available, in a couple of years people have to work untill they are 70 years old before they receive a retirement pension, very expensive living conditions, crime rate increases every month, health care is getting worse, CO2 problem is gotten out of hand, should I go on?

This video was awesome. I love all of these countries I will say the US is like a 3rd world country compared to these countries. Should not be on this list at all. It literally is not even on the top 100 places to live for safety

as a Dutchman I wanna say that the Netherlands is a country to study and then go to a place where the taxes are lower because you pay 48% of your yearly salary to the government. And the normal lifestyle is so expensive since the inflation. I earn about 6k a month pre tax so I make around 72k a year pre tax. That means after tax I get around 36k a year. I can save about 1,5k a month but I still live with my mother so no rent or monthly costs. I wanna go to Canada since my friend said it would be easier. Any suggestions ???

I live in Prague and I agree is such a beautiful place to live, BUT, you need to be ok with cold winter and don't have a beach close by hahaha, this is what keeps me from being 100% happy. hahaha.

Out of all of these countries I would pick Australia, because everywhere else is so bloody freezing cold lol.... and not only is Australia nice and comfortably warm with very nice weather, would you look at those beautiful beaches and national parks..... wow!!!!

In Australia just go to Sydney so it's not hot it pretty cold and windy there bring some warm clothes, good luck!

There was a time Canada was always in the top 5 in these surveys. We are slipping, government is becoming more corrupt, and the cost of living is going through the roof. We will be out of the top ten completely in less than 5 years imo.

What country would you suggest me working, opening a small business and perhaps living, starting from 0?

Of note is the population of most of these countries - 7 of them are under 10 million I believe. It is easier to manage the social structures in a country with fewer people and often homogenous populations too. For this reason, Japan with over 120 million people is to be congratulated. Also Canada and Australia with their highly multicultural populations are to be congratulated.

I travelled over 70 countries in the world and I think all the countries are beautiful in my eyes. I live in Buffalo New York but I can live anywhere in the world as I love living simple life .

As a once proud citizen of the US, I'm truly sad at the fact that our quality of life is nothing compared to the beautiful and amazing countries on this list. While the US was once known as the land of freedom, equality and opportunity is now dominated by racism, homophobia, misogyny, inequality, authoritarianism and spitefulness. If I didn't have family here and had enough money, I would move to any of these countries in a heartbeat!
