It's cheaper than most places in the US. He's not exactly lying. I live near DC, in VA. Every year, we get raped by property taxes (as well as state and fed). My wife cries every time it's tax time. Average home around here is (2500 sq ft) $700K. In looking at the home values in WY, I will NOT have any issue living anywhere in WY with their avg home pricing.

Jackson? Are you kidding? Most jobs are service industry and the cost of housing is so high that people commute from Eastern Idaho. Jackson is a swarm of tourists in Summer and Winter. It's a very impersonal place because of the tourism and services tends to be poor. It's a beautiful place to visit but I'd rate it dead last as a best place to live year round. I does offer nice vacation homes for billionaires. Casper should have been on the list. It's the perfect size city. It's only downfall is the wind.

I grew up and went to high school in southern Montana near Billings,, but I’ve been all over Wyoming. I agree about Sheridan, but Kemmerer? Who would want to live there? Furthermore, it’s hilarious to hear about nightlife in Lander. Even Riverton is better! One place he missed that I always have liked is Evanston. No wind, which is a huge plus, nice surroundings, very low crime rate.

well, I think Rock Springs is the perfect hub for travel. Cheap yet close to wind river range, flaming gorge, tetons and yellowstone. Big enough to shop, on the interstate, way less snow/wind than the east.

She does genealogy and has also documented her childhood memories living in Wyoming. She is still living independently and we are celebrating her 90th birthday next week! Used to live in Lander: you failed to mention that it's one of the places in Wyoming with relatively little wind, and a mild enough climate to grow tomatoes. You can't see the Absarokas from Lander. Best place to live in Wyoming? Alta. Part of Teton County but right on the Idaho border. Eight square miles of peace up against the west side of the Tetons.

For those of you that have grown weary of so-called "modern civilization", and that are looking for a place to live in peace while "flying under the radar", let me remind you that the black footed ferrets (thought to be extinct) managed to avoid detection for decades just outside Meeteetse, WY. It just might be a more covert place to live than the cabin in Montana that housed the Unibomber.

Here in star valley we buy more booze per person in the state, highest DUI in the state, child incest & pregnancy is highest in the stste , housing cost is second highest cost behind jackson hole, both sides of the main highway through it has every piece of junk heavy equipment open storage jackson hole does not want & more storage sheds than you can count for your viewing enjoyment while dodging slow moving vehicles, bicycles, drunk drivers, local teens passing everything in site going 90mph in a 65 & my favorite is unless you love meat and potatoes or Mexican food THERES NOTHING ELSE TO EAT IN ANY RESTURANT.

Seriously. I mean, I’ve lived in the 307 for 41 years. I knew this was a nonsense video in the first minute when all they show is the northwest corner of the state. Heh. The video’s pitch should be: “Come to Wyoming! And bring friends! Cuz you’re gonna need generational wealth to make it here!” DO NOT MOVE HERE ONLY BECAUSE THIS VIDEO PERSUADES YOU TO! You’ll make it until winter, when you’ll expect the grandeur of the icy mountains and snow-covered plains just like you see in this video. What you’ll learn is that a steady 20mph squall doesn’t show up in pictures!
