The power scaling in this series is just phenomenal. Notice how they never had a chance agains they adult villains they faced directly. The writers put the JL on another planet so Black Beetle could run rampant. He clearly outclassed the teens, but I'm sure the adults could more than check him.

@Kryptoskillet Outsiders was enjoyable to me. Not on par with the first two seasons, but we will always have access to them.

@Kryptoskillet I share your opinion on Outsiders. As seasons go, this was one of the most incosistsnt ones I've ever watched. Loads of new characters that aren't introduced properly for us to care. Some old characters acting out of character, and yeah, I agree, character development, but just didn't feel well for me. It wasn't engaging, like the first two seasons. I skipped probably one third of the episodes as they didn't contribute in any way to the actual storyline, basically fillers. The focus on the characters was also incredibly off, you just start to finally invest yourself into the new ones, like Brion, Tara and Halo and then they go and switch it up and leave them out for a couple of episodes. Season 2 introduced characters (where some of my favourites are found) just get totally sidelined. Furthermore, some of these characters are awkwardly thrown into season three with pretty much no explanation as to how they've grown/what they've done during the timeskip. By comparison, Season 2 is very successful in explaining how the main cast (like Aqualad, Miss Martian and Superboy) have changed and thus delivers some of the most satisfying scenes in the season.

@@isaaicreyes2691 I'm not so sure, Mongul can hold his own pretty well vs. Superman and in this show we see Mongul throwing down with Black Beetle. I'm sure BB can throw down with Supes.

More like insufferable. With his voice for starter (a good voice for a villain though, but unsufferable anyway), and when he was calling everyone "meat" I thought it was because he was a machine but no, he is like every beetle, part "meat" part beetle.

I love this guy, he's a true villain. Ruthless, yet comedic at times, cold, yet overpowering. He reminds me of a villain from Yu Yu Hakusho

Whenever he called someone’ meat bag, all I kept thinking was Bender from Futurama referring to all his friends as meat bags. 😂 so the intensity of that insult didn’t really work on me.

Superman can give him an excellent run. He probably can beat the Man of Steel, but it will take a huge effort to do it. Batman can't do much as probably Black Beetle can counter almost anything be thrown at him.
