They remind me of Wally and Dick, but also Wally and Artemis?? Impulse is the hyperenergetic speedster and Blue is like his impulse (haha) control. I hope their relationship gets further explored in season 3. It'll be great if they're like the dynamic duo that KidFlash and Robin were.

Anyone notice that the scarub started actually trying to escape/fly away when he saw Impulse? Like he's just staying there with Batgirl, maybe they realize impulse is a larger threat, but I think the scarub just got attached to Bart, didn't want to have to hurt him. Plus he always lingers when he is ordered to hurt Bart. I think it's just a cute thing the writers added in, they do it a lot actually, like they really want us to think they like eachother. Examples because I'm actually trash. They have that scene where controlled Jaime is just playing with blacked out Impulse, ya know, like he's admiring him in his slumber, creepy, but it just stood out a little too much. They also linger on moments where they make contact, like when they touch hands those bazillion times, they just freeze frame for a second. When Jaime places his hand on Bart's to tell him to stop fidgeting, they make that eye contact, you know, *that* one where you're just like "Wait, are you *confessing your undying love for me????*" Kinda look. Then the "Oh sorry" thing. I think way too much, but yeah, there are tons of these in the show, they high five and their hands curl around each other's and the shot just stays. Jaime knocks Impulse out first, maybe because he's a larger threat yet again, or maybe the scarub knows it'll just hurt too much to watch him try to fight. Cute crap that takes you second to notice.

I think their friendship is good but I don’t really think Bart came all the way from the future just to be friend with the person who betrayed humanity I think Bart is just acting to be his friend he wants to be close to him to stop him from ending up as a bad guy and maybe that was the main reason he told Beetle about his future ( because he knew Beetle will tell the team he kinda made them aware of the danger ) ‘you know keep your friends close but your enemies closer ‘ and if you think about it its hard for a person like him who used to be a slave to have a fun personality i think people don’t really notice his past because he’s often fun and not serious ( but maybe that’s just what he wants them to think ) You know it’s all just my theory but if you rewatch season 2 you realize more and you don’t just travel in time without any plan of what your about to do

It's not that they are useless. They give him the ability to fly they just dont need to flap however since they were made for space. They also serve as a sheild, and shields arent very effective when moving

He's a funny case, when he's in the league he's the baby i of the group but when he's here he's the edgy yet well behaved older brother type. He's likable and funny most of the time but he truly shines before we learn the scarub can speak to him and when when he is just the narrator in the background of his body when the reach take over him. I was always irritated about how he treated impulse but I mean I would probably be pretty grumpy if a kid came into my life and was like "bro b-bro b-dog my buddy blue" lol not my favorite character, but who can out shine a speedster in likability?
