One year, off lake Quipman in Texas... Every cast was like 20+ perch/sunfish. I was 12, it was 4th of July, so all i did was blow fish up. Since that 1 weekend, it was never quite the catch. Never again.

Me and my big brother went cast netting at this beach and 8 inch Popeye mullets jumped everywhere,we had a big catch,so much fish some jumped out the bucket

I went to this one place in Anna Marie and at least caught 15 sheep's head in one cast

Me my father,brothers and one cousin where throwing nets for role mullet off of a low set bridge on the intercoastal side of ST.AUGISTINE beach and my father and brother had so many mullet that one of my dads tucks broke on his new 9 ft mullet net and my brother ( a very big guy) had to help him get it in in one throw they filled up one of our about 3-1/2 ft long coolers believe it or not but I have to benefit in lying (this location is no longer available to catch mullet at however a few years back a bad storm blew open a bank of rocks flooding this spot with sand) if anyone was wondering its sunset cove bridge btw

Most of the time catching a big number of bait fish such as green backs wouldn't be that hard to do if you can find a school of them. Also if you have ever seen a castanet during mullet season you would be shocked, each cast people catch at least 25 mullet per cast and they would be like 2-4 feet long each.
