In this series, we highlight the best Mario Kart Wii custom tracks of the year. I started this back in 2010 and continued it all the way till 2013. I eventually brought it back in 2017 and plan to again next year!
This list is different because it only includes custom tracks from 2018 instead of all the previous years combined.
Hope you enjoy and shoutouts to the creators for making such incredible tracks this year. :)

@@_DanM_ agreed 10 times! koopa shell pipeland was robbed. same goes with the plain of atlantis, but i can tell why that didn't make the list. koopa shell pipeland is pretty much amazing.

@@_DanM_ new moon manor is my #1, but i do love the plain of atlantis and koopa shell pipeland. however, atlantis was just so big that the items are disfunctional on the track, so i can see why that's not on the list. however, koopa shell pipeland is nearly flawless.

Lava Lake is SICK!!! Very strong selections for this top 20 this year. Amazed by how much further the quality of these tracks are getting from the work of the many great CT creators we have. Excited for 2019.

I agree. Troy picked amazing tracks and the custom tracks are jst becoming better and better. Plus all of the older tracks being revamped brings an amazing feel and view.

desktop dash is a 2017 track, but got many updates in 2018. surprised it got featured on none of those lists; it's my 6th favourite custom track.

Amazing list! (I completely forgot about Lava Lake even though I did watch KevinVG207's video on it) These tracks really just show my favourite part about MKW and the Mario Kart games in general, the insanely advanced and interesting shortcuts that add diversity to the levels, and demonstrate how after 10 years and 8 months creators continue to make new and interesting skips intended and not. Way back when Mushroom Island (banger of a track btw) was released I thought MKW strats had reached peak evolution, oh how wrong that was... Here's to 2019 continuing to innovate and most importantly of all here's to Sniki!

10: Probably my favorite garden track. It’s so pretty thanks to riidefi and his shadows. 9: A m a z i n g 8: 10/10 IGN 7: Seeing the original version of this track compared to what it looks like now is astounding since it looks like a whole new track. 6: 👌 5: I love this track, it’s amazing! I’m pretty sure a user named ALPHAMARIOX helped with the Pokemon. 4: Probably the best SMO recreation out there. Also Whomp’s Fortress got an update that makes it work better. 3: I’m surprised a retro got this far up the list. Nice job Sniki! 2: This was surprising as well. Nice job Joris! 1: Yet another surprising entry. Nice job Sniki!

I swear New Moon Manor is so much incredible. I love it like heck. Even the expert staff ghost is so hard, it make you love the track lol. Congrats on 150k tho. Also i have Kart BKT on that one so that help lel !

Hi I'm a fan, I actually was completed those MarioKart DS missions for the first time in June 2014 during my Morocco trip and I couldn't finish the very last mission at all so I had to use action replay to get a win on Wiggler, I played the game on a DSi XL that I got from December 2010 and also at 1-8 Power Slides I also didn't know how to do it, I just drove throughout the whole course and didn't do any turbo boosts. I also was accepting the A, B, and C grades as well.

Sad that the White Garden update won't be in CTGP. Mainly because there is some lag with the half pipes online. I don't know if they'd remove them completely, but I hope they do. I would love to play that.

In the 11-20 list, you said that MK8 doesn't have any areas with multiple routes, so here's a list of all the tracks that have multiple routes: Mario Kart Stadium Water Park Sweet Sweet Canyon Thwomp Ruins Toad Harbour Twisted Mansion Shy Guy Falls Sunshine Airport Dolphin Shoals Electrodrome Mt Wario Cloudtop Cruise Bone Dry Dunes Bowser's Castle Rainbow Road and that's only for the first 16 tracks and there are 15 there. Only one without much of a multiple routes section is Mario Circuit
