It's about time I gathered up every free survival game to figure out what the 10 best ones are. It wasn't easy, but we did it... (it was easy). All of these survival games are very different to each other as I wanted to have as much variety as possible, but all have survival elements and the survival tag. Some are games not many people play where as a few are extremely popular.

Man, I used to play Unturned a lot back then. I've racked up slightly more than a thousand hours on it. It was the start of my love towards survival games. Now I only play DayZ. Unturned is such a simple game but it brings back so many memories for me

@brimmers Funny enough, i have zomboid, too, but it's just not my cup of tea. I really like 1st person games, and the top-to-bottom perspective takes a big hit for my likeness. Still a good and detailed game non the less

@@akelaw3155 I have to agree with what you said I love fps zombie survivals that’s why I’m really excited to play the walking dead saints and sinners but the amount of detail in project zomboid is what got me into it like I never thought I would have to worry about depression in a video game haha

If u like unturned you may like 7days to die It isnt the exact same thing but its kind of a mix up between games as unturned, minecraft, project zomboid and its first person. its still in development but has a lot of content.

Will to Live is a fun one with a PvE server option for those who dislike getting shot at. Good list and you nailed all points sir.

WTLO Is fun until you realize you grind the entire time playing only to reach lvl (what 15 or whenever PVP is active 24/7) and you can't go fucking anywhere without being shot at by 4 different tryhards with the best shit in the game that they paid real money for. The game is just a Stalker clone with too much Grind and P2W garbage in it tbh.

@ARK Babe 🦖 of course you can play singelplayer, you loot kill zombies, and discover story. I suggest Washington to understand the game, and Russia for story and experience!

I know the developer for xera. He did it all by himself. Took him years. it is inspired by WarZ (infestation survivor stories) but, as one person working on a game it probably wont ever be finished unless he hires a team

Hey @Rye Games , I just wanted to warn you and everyone else reading this about at least two of the Games you showed, which are Deathly Stillness and Will to Live Online. Sadly I have to inform you, that both of these games are Bitcoin Miners at it's best, as soon as you start them, your GPU will skyrocket (in the Main Menu + starting sequence, which it shouldn't) and at least Will to live Online does not want you to uninstall it, which means you have to delete it manually. It's sad because the Games really looked promising and I even played Deathly Stillness for a bit until I saw that Will to live was a Miner and I checked it again. Edit: Because some people critized that I just assume that Deathly Stilness is a miner because it's causing the same issue but without prove like Will to live Online, I want to make clear, that I can't 100 % assure that Deathly Stilness is a miner rather than poorly coded in that regard but the symptoms for your GPU are the same, that's why I didn't explicitely stated that, but maybe you guys can read what @FreakSheep Tutorials wrote in the comments maybe it helps, I don't know because he doesn't trust me enough to credit him so I can't confirm it, which is understandable i guess.

Well first of all, the problem that u said here didnt happened to me, while i was running Deathly Stillness i only got about 50% of usage in main menu and around 60-70% while playing and its not really high, i've experienced worse. And secondly, the game Deathly Stillness was made by a Chinese video uploader who made this "game" as a teaching exemple for other peoples to learn making video games, so its normal that it doesnt have a lot of gameplay (even some charactors was the idea of viewers) and not polished as good as other video games (maybe thats why u are having so high GPU usage). So as result it should only be the problem of ur own PC and i hope u can verify it again to make sure u are not giving wrong information to other peoples :)

@@josephalen2116 As soon as the application starts the GPU has a Usage of 100 % and it won't go down not even for a second and it's not a problem with my PC, I play Cyberpunk 2077 on high and I have this with no other game (besides Will to Live) and there are already enough people on steam which are confirming the unnecessary rise of GPU usage. maybe you have looked at the wrong graph, or you have a program installed which already counters those backgroundprograms but I can 100 % confirm, that this game mines bitcoin or has something terribly wrong with it's coding. Secondly I never even once critized Dethly Stillness for it's lack of content, I made the opposite and said it's a shame, that this game mines bitcoin because I really enjoyed it the time I played it before noticing the issue.

Whats very good about unturned so its the fact that you arent forced to play pvp or with other people. Singleplayer has it all with the entire experience customizable.

i have played The Cycle: Frontier once and you shouldn't focus on pvp too much, my favorite part is when i do a mission i got killed by a monster and lose all my stuff.10/10

have you ever tried cdda? i understand you aren't the kind of guy that would play those kind of games but it's truly one of the best survival games that i've ever played and i would appreciate if you gave it a try, the reason why it isn't popular is because of his similarities to dwarf fortress in terms of accessibility, it's also free.

you do realize that the first game is literally an unreal engine asset flip. All the maps, characters, weapons and just aboult everything is just premade assets that he put together in a couple of days.

my opinion on will to life, game is supper good looking, nice mission at beginning, but, after you reach lvl 20, you unlock new location "canyon" from 20 on its PVP based, also devs once started getting money on store, just quit doing game updates

I downloaded cycle frontier and after awhile uninstalled and I tried to use my gear but I couldn’t use them idk if they fixed it already but be aware of bugs like that

Yeah… I’ve sunk roughly 2.7k hours into Unturned. Used to love the game but just got boring after that amount of time. Would certainly recommend as a free survival game though.

I'm looking for a open world/economy/crafting/trading/traveling game without zombies/monsters/mythical creatures. Wild animals are fine. But do you have any recommendations? I wish games like Rust and DayZ didn't have zombies. The Ranch seems cool, but doesn't seem finished yet.

I played Muck! It is a whole lot better than you would expect as it was made like a joke but turned out okay. Very early minecrafty vibe if minecraft wasn't about building only surviving. Gets boring soon but okay for free. So yeah I am looing for a game like Ark Survival Evolved where you can survive and breed animals that help you survive better but only Ark does it. No one else has tried to step in on this specific niche. Also, I hate guns. I play ASE because you can use bow and arrow only if you want.

I still play DF2 and stream it xD I really have fun and meet new people everyday, player base is pretty low 500-3500 per day 3500 at events and during weekends. But game is like, learn yourself biatch xD and is pretty much a daily grindfest. PS: I played most of the games from this video before see it. Except nr 4 and 3 (never saw them at all).

I have played the cycle: frontier acutally even before its release, it wasnt very popular. the game had diferent name before which was just The Cycle and they added "frontier" when there was something like a huge update that changed gameplay a little bit (sory for bad england). Before this update the game was a battle royale kind of thing

there's a game called beached i dono if you know or what but its a game like rust but low poly and early game the developer is updating the game little bit you should try it
