It really is a shame he's only shown in flashbacks in Legend of Korra since, according to Katara, he has passed on, but good to know he became a member of the council in Republic City with huge responsibilities and ideas. He truly is a memorable and amazing character.

Well, they are two completely different types of funny. One is usually sarcastic and way over his head, while the other is always super exited, super expressive and bit of a fanboy.

I think the thing that Sokka has over Bolin for comedy, is that he has more range. Sokka could lean into being over the top to be expressive or sarcastic, while with Bolin it is just the former.

Toph having a crush on him is actually very meaningful since she doesn't know what he looks like. Meaning she likes him for who he is, whereas Ty Lee was only interested in his looks.

I love that Sokka has comedic relief central to his character, but *strong* characterization outside of just that with leadership, as a strategist, improvement of battle skills, etc. And many times a male comedic relief character is shown having a lot of trouble attracting ladies, but not Sokka. lol

Still one of my favorite cartoons. This show was so ahead of its time. I wish they would make more episodes of this and legend of korra. The live action movie was very disrespectful to the show. I can’t really pick a favorite character for this show. I loved all of them equally and for different reasons.

I love the part when he said he'd give up meat and be a vegetarian until aang showed up and asked him if he had any meat. It's so relatable. I tried going vegetarian but meat is too tasty to give up.

They should’ve included the face he made when Toph roasted him for not being a bender. “I CAN STILL FIGHT!” “Okay. 3 on 3 plus Sokka.” “🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬” That face & reaction is just so funny!!!!! It made such an impact, it’s even used as a meme!

I felt so bad for Sokka when he got trapped with those nomads, but it was still hilarious that he slapped his forehead repeatedly.😂 Also, Sokka trying to name “Combustion Man” reminds me of Fred trying to name bad guys in “Big Hero 6 The Series.”😉

For what purpose? Katara was Korra's waterbending mentor, Iroh helped her understand the Spirit World, Zuko adds to the tension of the Red Lotus and Toph helped Korra recover from her PTSD. What role could they possibly have given Sokka? Can't we just be glad that he appeared in a flashback and acted just like we all thought an adult Sokka would?

No question, Avatar The Last Airbender was the best series to ever air on Nickelodeon, and Avatar The Legend Of Korra was also great despite having more problems. And to anyone who wants to argue that Spongebob Squarepants is better, it isn't but just gone on longer and rewatch Seasons 7 through 9 and tell me that every 4th episode isn't bad.

I 100 percent agree. I am a Spongebob fan since I was a kid, but the less I watch the show in the later seasons. Avatar the last airbender, I can watch all 61 episodes and never get tired of it. I have the Complete Series DVD of it.

Uhhhhhh....You left out the first time Sokka met the Kyoshi warriors and the part where Suki spins him around, ties his wrist to his ankle and makes him put on the Kyoshi outfit. That was pretty funny. 🤣

Sokka is definitely one of the funniest characters out of any TV shows. Plus, dang it MsMojo, you missed one line on the list. It's from the episode "The Blind Bandit" where the two boys are mad, one of them says "You better leave", Katara says "Hey! I got my eye on you." and then Sokka says "Water Tribe", and he turns forward. LMAO! That is hands down the funniest moment on Sokka. Yeah the cactus juice bit was funny too. Sokka drinking that thinking he was on drugs or something.

#10: TSR isn't a particular fave of mine, but that's one of my favorite moments ever. Not only because it's funny but because they got away with having two 15-year-olds planning to lose their virginity on a kids' show. #8: Wang Fire was so popular with fans they even did a comic about his fictional life. #5: Sokka: Who cares that it's obvious propaganda meant to make us all look bad? HOW DARE THEY MAKE ME SPOUT SUCH LAME JOKES! Imma do something about this! #3: Sokka invented rap battles before rap became popular. "APPA ATE MOMO!" I don't even care that it's just an honorable mention, I'm just happy it made it onto the list. It's one of my favorites. I KNEW CACTUS JUICE WOULD BE THE #1 SPOT. Given how emotionally wrought the episode was, we needed an extra dose of funny.

You Can't Help But Feel Bad For Sokka In "The Cave Of The Two Lovers", Being Separated From The Most Powerful Bender In The World Is Bad Enough, Especially When You Yourself Are A Non Bender, But Being Separated From The Most Powerful Bender In The World, AND Being Stuck In A Cave With Those Guys?! No Wonder He Had Such A Large Bruise On His Forehead At The End! And I Can't Stop Laughing At His Cactus Juice Commercial!
