I am a Madrid fan, but to put Carvajal in front of Thuram is criminal. Thuram won both the Euro and the World Cup with France, as a key player (that alone put him in the top 4 imo). Carvajal is a great player but doesn't have the intelligence of Thuram, nor the physical abilities. He mostly benefited from Madrid's Ultra Dominance.

Brother, the man has been the wall of protecting our team against the most dangerous and agile attackers in the world. There is also a significant reason why he is allowed to roam extremely free in this new style if Real Madrid. He is super all around. Sure maybe people wont be able to glamorize his “style”, like how people look at Ronaldo as “tap in merchant”, but Carvajal always got the job done like a boss, but he never got the highlights at all.

I like your list, I don't fully agree with everything which is completely normal but in general it's a good list. It's good to see someone rate Carvajal, I personally wouldn't put him in a sixth place position but definitely top 10 and very underrated indeed.

Whilst i disagree with some of the positioning I think the list is pretty good with one LARGE miss. That Djalma Santos is only a mention is absurd. Hes arguably 1.

You could easily mention that Carlos Alberto played in the same squad as the Legendaries Pele and Beckenbauer at same time around 76-78 season and against players like George Best, Gordon Banks, Bobby Moore, etc.!

@@jamesrodriguez3153 Lahm is the best RB defensively ever (maybe Cafu comes close)...Lahm didn't move forward through the wings like Alves but he tucked into the midfield and played as a CDM when the team moves forward, allowing the midfielders to join the attack...Alves doesn't come close to the defensive qualities of Lahm...And also, Lahm is better overall

Como brasileiro eu lhe digo aqui os melhores laterais direito brasileiro realmente, pois vejo que a maioria do pessoal de fora só conhece jogadores da decada de 90 em diante pq jogaram na europa, porém a laterais historicos melhores q Cafu e todos citados melhores que Daniel Alves. 1-Djalma Santos 2-Carlos Alberto Torres 3-Leandro Esses 3 sabiam marcar e tbm atacar. 4-Cafu 5-Nelinho Esse era o Roberto Carlos pela direita com menos velocidade e maior precisão. 6-Daniel Alves/Maycon
