whoever made this video has no idea about happiness. Human nature works like this; When you have nothing you think that having it all will make one happy and then one day you have it all and then realize that what you achieved only make you comfortable. Human nature dictates that you can only find happiness within yourself. The highest suicide rates are in 'Happy' countries.

That first pic of "Sweden" is actually Milford Sound in New Zealand.. on the other side of the planet. And almost the same pic is used in the NZ segment (the 4th scene).

I am from 🇩🇰Copenhagen, Denmark🇩🇰 and I'm always 😁happy😁 okay it's expensive to live in Denmark, but all education, hospitals / healthcare, and much more are free (I know we pay for it over the tax) so there's nothing to be angry about.

In Norway we have a concept called "freedom under responsibility". It only works when people are actually responsible. But it gives people more freedom than in countries such as the United States. For example, you can do your job the way you want without the boss caring about what you do. As long as the job is done.

Such a huge different human experience when people are born in different countries. Some people are borned without water, some people are borned with such great resources which is great, it's a blessing! I love all people, and it pains me to see people suffer. Some are because of their own cause and effect. But many are just borned in those conditions that needs a little help. In my life ,I will fight for a day when all people are peaceful and happy. I hope you do too

Yes I totally agree with Finland being the happiest country ever. Heavy metal, lack of small talk, sarcasm and black humor are the way to the happiness. 😍 And ofc I am from Finland. 😜 In other countries that I've been people ask constantly how I am doing or am I okay. But in Finland we ask if we really care and want to listen.

Petter Vos thats true, but still south america it's all third world nation and has the lower suicide cases when we talk about continents. The point of mí comment was to remark that the happines it's not related with the money and life status, i live un Argentina and i'ved lived in east Europ and in my experience this top is too damn wrong (sorry if my english is bad spanish talker here)

True. But it just happens to be the happy people live in western countries above 49° parallel north, or the pacific. Those countries all have free education, shared (or free) healthcare insurrance and a state payment for people who don’t (or are not able to) have a job. All those countries have some kind of solidarity. Something USA never got, and Poland forgot about. And (for me the most convincing): all these countries don’t have a powerful leader. Wether they have a king or a chosen president, still the parliament is in power. Everything has to be discussed, no one is going to be the winner, so everyone is more or less happy.

As an Australian who lives in Canada, there’s no way Canada’s that high on the list. Not between the climate, cost of living, and taxation, all of which are among the worst in the first world. Not to mention the current leadership, which no one is happy with right now.

Find some friends and chill. Your beer will stay cold. Chilling with buddies is the thing people in North do. No need to speak, you can just look at emptiness together. Moan about the politicians together. Watch TV or play with Playstation. Learn to code. Cold climate gives possibilities which you're not used to. You can e.g. ski, play ice hockey etc. Finland is equally cold or colder than the areas where practically all Canadians live. People are still quite active and outdoorsy. Common sense, trust, cooperation - cornerstones of the societies in North. These are forged in the coldness as you can't survive alone on these latitudes. You just can't leave your buddies behind, you might need them the next day. People used to taxation are happy with it if it seems to pay back. Of course, some will always complain, but hey - no such thing as a perfect system, only good ones. Good government uses tax money well. I bet Canadians agree on most government costs if they think about them for a bit, but many are incapable of that.

McSlobo First, I don’t drink, so your admittedly poetic diatribe about “popping a cold one with the boys” is wasted on me. Second if our taxes were just going to the universal healthcare, I wouldn’t complain, but our prime minister, in the midst of a recession, is using his citizens tax money to house and support refugees. Under normal circumstances, I would be fine with this, as I think would most Canadians. Yay for charity. But as I said, we’re in the midst of a recession, and while most of the country is either unemployed or underpaid, our leaders are using our tax money to bring in more dependents, making the situation worse. Hence why the government isn’t too popular right now.

This list didn’t suprise me too much. Oseania (australia and new zeland) is a blast, Canada is a dream if you’re looking for clean winters and sports, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland and Sweden are all very safe places to live at, Netherlands is one of the more beautiful places ive seen, and every Switz ive met is usually a happy fellow. Personally im from Finland, and it surprised me a little this place ranked so high. I expected it to rank somewhere around 6 or 4, because the huge gap of lifestyle between the poor and the rich. And if you ever take a peak at modern finnish books, Helsinki (the capitol) is described as a sad, diseased and horrible slum. However, if the quality of life was the same in the whole world as in the countries this list had to hold, we wouldn’t need to worry about sending a colony to mars. Whats it here to leave for??
