@@HaleyRadiant you and me both! I lost my grandma in February 2018, and when I heard that song being performed at the 2018 Academy Awards, I immediately had to leave the room cause I was bawling like a baby. Because of that, I was hesitant to watch Coco for sooooo long. But a couple months ago I finally decided to “suck it up” and just watch it. I’m sure glad I did because I really enjoyed it. Don’t get me wrong, I still cried during the song, but I didn’t “break down uncontrollably” like I thought I was going to

You'll Be In My Heart by Phil Collins from the Tarzan movie soundtrack. My daughter moved away from home with my grandson when he was 3; I would always sing this song to him as an infant or whenever he would visit. @@jessicas2379 IKR!?! It’s no wonder why it won an Academy Award. I first heard that song more than a decade ago by Celtic Woman and I actually didn’t know it was originally from TPOE until a few years ago and I actually saw the film for the first time a few months ago (tried watching it free on demand for so long but every time I “was ready” I missed my chance; kept blowing off my chance because I wanted to ‘finish watching this first before I started something else”) The Celtic Woman version of the song was one of my all time favorites of theirs and it was my “comfort song” and it helped me get through so many rough times, like when my grandma (whom I was EXTREMELY CLOSE WITH) passed away and then one of my top 3 all time favorite Star Wars characters was killed off from one of the franchise’s TV series 9 days later (OUCH!! The lyrics in god help the outcasts are incredible. The difference between everyone else dressed well going to church asking for “wealth” and “glory” to Esmerelda saying “I ask for nothing” despite all the mistreatment she receives because she believes she “can get by” and instead asks for her people to be taken care of. It not only reflects her character but also the characters of everyone else spoken about in the song and the situation of the country. It is one of Disney’s most underrated films and is a masterpiece

“Sound the bugle” from Spirit is way more haunting than “You can’t take me” and even “Deliver us”. With its lyrics telling of how a light of hope can be found even in the darkest despair, it more than deserved a spot in the list.

yes Sound the Bugle. I am from Canada and that songs reminds me of Remembrance day. Also I horse back rode for many years and in my fantasy world I would love to do a group lesson with that soundtrack playing reenacting scenes. The horse I rode (now passed) was very connected to me we would make an incredible dance together. I know what parts of songs we would walk trot and canter too. Sky the horses I rode would trot and canter to the beat of the music she would have that talent. I wouldn't even need to do anything that's how special she was. She was so smart I swear I would say "Sky canter" and she would pick it up within 3 seconds! Asking her to walk would be a challenge sometimes she loved to canter and her canter stride was beyond smooth not bouncy like other horses gaits. Sky was very old my teacher doesn't even know her exact age but she might have been in her 30s which is like someone living to 105.

I used to sing Baby Mine to my son, my only child, even before he was born. The last line of the song, "But you're so precious to me, cute as can be, baby of mine" stuck with me so much that I called him Precious. He is now 31 years old and although I don't sing it to him anymore, I still call him Precious.

When She Loved Me makes me think of my former best friend in high school. I never really had a best friend until her. We'd have sleepovers, talk about boys, vent, and act like our silly selves. I noticed she began to become distant from me, trying to fit in with more "popular" people, and ignoring any kind of advice I gave her despite her asking for it. She even asked the guy she knew I liked to prom before I could even try. I was developing anxiety/depression at the time, and she added to that. I felt cast aside, and alone with all these negative feelings building up inside me that, at the time, I didn't understand. I already had a lot on my plate in terms of family life and bullying, but this really affected me. To this day I struggle with wanting to get too close to people. I can relate a lot to Jessie, and her song nearly brings me to tears every time. I sometimes miss my former best friend, but after hearing how she had gotten into drugs and wasn't really her self anymore, it became a little easier for me to keep my distance. She actually had the gall to reach out to me online to try to rekindle our friendship, but it's far too late. We're both leading different lives, and I'm doing just fine without her in mine.

yes. I horseback rode and my sister rode my teacher horse who is VERY OLD he has very bad arthris in his shoulder they tried joint supplements which did help quite a bit along with equine chiropractors and massage therapists but the treatments aren't brining much relief. For a few years my teacher thought he wouldn't make it through the winter (this was 5 years ago before they found the joint supplements) (the horses live outside 99% of the time) the older ones go inside at night in the winter. My sister is going to visit him and I kinda want to play the song while we are with him but I feel it would be very upsetting. But it would be very fitting at the same time. I will probably end up forgetting to though and remember after we leave.

My grandma passed away 4 years ago. I wasn't there by her side, as she died while I was at work. That night, I went to a computer cafe to distract myself from the grief. No matter what I do, gaming or browsing, I just can't get that pain off. I was there overnight, and inevitably, I doze off. I woke up just in time to see that the clip playing on the still open tab was a KZfaq video of "Remember Me". That scene where Miguel was singing the sing to his grandma Coco. As someone who was raised by my grandma for more than 2 decades, it struck a chord in my heart.

Such beautiful music! I would have included the song Moana sings as she approaches Tefiti in slow motion and the song playing at the end of Brother Bear when the brothers come back together and Koda sees his mother again. I mean... 😭😭😭😭

Ones that I feel Should’ve been here is “If I Never Knew You”, “Out There”, “Heavens Light/Hellfire”, “Stuff We Did”, “Learn me right”, and “Noble Maiden Fair” (I find the last twos lyrics very beautiful). There’s more but those are the ones I can think of.

The Next Right Thing hits me hard every time. I lost both of my parents within 2 years of each other before I was even 35. Whomever wrote that song or choreographed Anna's expressions and movements and lyrics to that song.....That person knows grief.

It means so much to me that if I did a list of favourite Disney songs, it be number 4 at least! Good Company would be 3 (that will make you cry if you had a pet and lost them later) and If I Never Knew You at 2 so that says alot eh?

I mostly agree with this list, but I feel "Into the unknown" to be the better pick from frozen 2. This longing for meaning and explanation and this vague feeling of something or someone ancient to "call you out" to seek your purposes in life just hits me with so much feelings. Also this "Voice" performed by Singer Aurora just adds to the haunting feeling of this masterpiece.

I cry every time I hear "Remember Me" I also like the prayer Moses' sister sings at the end of "Deliver Us". "Brother you're safe now and safe may you stay. For I have a prayer just for. Grow baby brother, come back someday. Come and deliver us too."
