Ok but Tartarus literally saying the Olympians weren't worth his time and him showing up to kill Percy and annabeth shows that no matter in what way the two either have a bit of respect from any race in the verse or just annoy tf out of every race in the verse 😂

I feel like Python deserves a spot on this list. Not only did Apollo describe it as powerful enough to nearly destroy him when he was still a god, and in his prime no less, but when it returned and teamed up with the three emperors it manipulated the situation just enough to absorb their powers with no one realizing it until it was to late, and almost had complete control over prophecy and fate itself. If Python wasn't stopped, it would have had the power to create, change, and alter the future in any dark twisted evil way it wanted.

Imagine if they cast Tom Hiddleston to play LOKI again for Percy Jackson.

I think Gaea is second. Chiron said when he noticed that Gaea was awakening it would be worse than the second titan war and Kronos. The heroes had a little bit of plot armor against Gaea. She was awakened and after 40 pages she was defeated. Kronos and Typhons defeats made more sense and were better written. Luke sacrificed himself to kill Kronos and Typhon was defeated by the Olympians after Poseidon came to help. Gaea is literally the earth herself. I think Gaea is more powerful than all of the gods. Zeus was terrified when Typhon and Kronos were back but when Gaea awakened he straight up said we have no chance this is the end. Yeah there were the prophecy maybe because of that the gods couldn't fight Gaea. Maybe if they jumped Gaea she would have been defeated but Gaea is still easily more powerful than Zeus. And add Nyx to. She played a little role in House of hades but she is still very powerful. In one story Zeus was angry at Hypnos and Hypnos flew to his mother Nyx and Zeus didn't go farther and let it rest on itself. Zeus was afraid of Nyx. But other than that very good list. I think I write a little to much 😅.

Lets be honest... NYX is definitely one of the strongest and personal I think that she is pretty cool.

If I remember right in the myths Kronos does not have time powers. However, after the Greeks, he was mixed up with Chronos (the primordial god of time) which is why Father Time is traditionally drawn with a sythe and why Kronos is said to have time powers.

Tartarus and Kronos are probably the most obvious choices

I think Python should be at least an honorable mention. His poison was so mighty it could distort even the Fates' work. Considering that even Zeus fears the Fates, it shows how strong this serpent/dragon was, escpacially after he absorbed the divine powers of Nero, Commodus and Caligula. In the end not even the Fates knew if Apollo would defeat his nemesis again.

I don't disagree with tarttarus being at the top, but I think appophas should be higher. Because his full power fractured the layered realities of the duot and we know he spand each of those layers. The only reason he was defeated was because he was removed as a concept.

I think Apophis should be Number One. The Chaos Serpent is THE ultimate evil in Egyptian mythology. He has no counterpart or equal, and Ra himself, the equivalent of Zeus and Odin, cannot defeat Apophis on his own. He requires the help of other gods. During the final battle, Apophis held his own against nearly the full might of the House of Life and the Egyptian gods, only losing due to the nature of the spell Carter and Sadie used against him. More than that, Apophis cannot be destroyed and scattered like Kronos and Gaea, or secretly imprisoned like Loki. Instead, due to concept of balance, Apophis will always exist so long as Ra and the others exist, meaning he can't be destroyed unless you destroy the gods, meaning he'll always be able to come back, and always at full strength. MORE more than that, Apophis is totally anti-creation. He lives for nothing more than absolute destruction, including that of the earth and all that is on/in it. No other villain introduced is like Apophis. They all seek to rule. He seeks to annihilate.

I know he didn’t do that much in the books, but Surt from the Magnus Chase series should be high on the list (if not on top). Surt is a primordial, possibly the oldest being in Riordanverse, as he existed before the universe, and it’s he who will singlehandendly end it. With a single strike of his flaming sword that shine brighter than the sun, he will burn all Nine realms to ash, killing all humans, elves, dwarfes, giant and some (but not all) gods! Thats how he is in mythology at least…

i think typhon is more powerful than kronos, considering we never even saw kronos's full power. But tartarus is def most powerful, i mean he litterally said the gods were nothign to him, he could easily distroy them but they were like pests to him.

Gaea and Tartarus should be about the same power I think (I can understand if Tartarus is first but then Gaea should be second) since they are both one of the primordial Gods who stept out of Chaos and resemble parts of the world itself. Tartarus has the fearful, dark onderworld bonus but most of the story takes place on the overwolrd which IS Gaea herself. If she were awake for longer she would have overpowerd her son Kronos by far. If I can recall right, it was even stated that the reason for her being asleep most of the time is because of here immense power and size.

Hmm how about Chaos (Greek/Roman)? They would be the parent of Gaia & Tartarus after all so much stronger (I assume, pardon me if I'm wrong, sorry). Then again, I guess classifying them as a villain wouldn't be accurate as we haven't seen them do anything really in the books.

But even as Luke, he could've slow down or stop time, to 1 plan his plans out 100%ly, so no things can go wrong and consider every choice he makes, 2 l dunno, like kill Percy? Or Anabeth? Imagine an evil Apollo character councilor, total opposite of Nico Di Angelo: (Dark on the outside, good on the inside.) Whilst (Light on the outside, evil on the inside.) Of course there's Octavian, but other villains like Gaea and monsters overshadowed his antagonistic role. Octavian was too pathetic and bratty, and gotten himself killed like a moron. I just imagine this character being jealous of the big three in Camp Half-Blood, and using his popularity to shun those like Nico in camp, while upping themselves in popularity, make them exceptionally cruel to monsters even by demigod standards, to the point of being abhorred and horrifying. Make them pretend to be nice and friendly in public, but be scary/cold behind closed doors, and release their violence when they find an excuse to do so. Or they get in the way between Nico's relationship with their half-brother Will Solace. There's not enough mortal/demigod villains in my opinion.
