Shen Woo, Daimon, Mr Karate or Takuma, Alba, Adel, Jhun and Mature are my favorite picks. As for boss fights I would really love Goodman for Battle coliseum. Love the videos man great one as always.

Adel would be real nice to comeback, tho one I think desperately need to comeback is American Sports team. They only appeared in ONE canon game and ONE dream match game and that's it, their comeback is long overdue and needs to happen. Lucky might need some buffs tho.

Probably won't happen because it's almost certain the 3rd (likely final) season will be about solo chars again, and it won't be cool to use 3 slots for the Sports team. Their return had to have happened in season 1.

Theres a reason why SNK wont bring them back: their only purpose in the KOF lore is having theyre invitations stolen so that cooler, evil characters can join the KOF tournament unquestionably.

@@aegaeon1482 Nameless & K9999/Krohnen can coexist. Nameless can continue from the unofficial KOFAS story of destroying Deimos and himself, but he lives on. Vice and Mature would be at odds with Goenitz, confronting them for being too soft with Iori. Hotaru would chase Gato as usual, but if they introduce Gato and Hotaru's father (known as Geki Kibao in MOTW2) in KOFXV, it would bring a fresh new perspective that could be continued in COTW. American Sports Team needs a break, and finally join in the cast. And probably they could join in as the foil to the New Faces Team and ironically be the pain in the butt for the Hakkesshu. Krauser could come back to antagonize Geese and possibly be a way for Luong and Hein to renew their plans of putting Geese down; but what if Rock steps up and tells them NO?

Excellent list Shoryu! Personally, if Oswald were to come back in KOFXV, Shen Woo and Adelheid would need their own 3D models first before unveiling the best team for the Ash Saga. Krizalid is the only boss worthy of XV.

Awesome video as always my man! As much as I love Mature, I'm kinda glad she's taking a backseat in KOFXV. I'd love to see Lin and Eiji back though! I could make a dope team with those two and Andy Bogard! Would love to see Adelheid back as well but head of a team, maybe with two new characters to accompany him. And the American team is way overdue for an appearance, would love to see how Heavy D plays in 3D modern graphics!

My top picks that I really want are Adelheid, Shen Woo, Oswald, Krizalid, Mr. Karate and Shion, I’d also be cool with others like Kasumi, Kensou, Hoatru, May Lee, Vice and Mature, Wolfgang Krauser and Jhun Hoon or even any Maximum Impact characters making it in.

At this point of KOF 15 history it must invest in the hottest picks in order to make an impression at all, in a time most attentions are focused in other games. Also there are high chances this is going to be the last season and that its going to be solo chars again. So Kensou, Choi, Chang and Xanadu are not types that the devs should be messing with... first because they are not famous enough to deserve a place in a list of solo dlc chars, and secondly because they are returning chars from the previous game's initial roster. And Todoh, Lee and Eiji are not as well known to deserve that place. I even wanted Eiji and Lee but its practically impossible.

Krizalid is most likely alive. I'm just wondering how would he be mentally if they bring him back. He probably knows by now that he's the clone...or maybe He'll bring some "What if I really am the original after all?" drama. Personally I'd like to see Nelson (the brazilian boxer) back and finally understand what's the secret behind his artificial arm.

@@risensamson8873 He went pretty from completely freeing himself though. Hopefully Kyo, Iori and Shizuru dealt with him before he could free himself. The seal would have been useless. But...now that we know there are "children of Gaia" even stronger than him...He doesn't seem that dangerous anymore.

For me, you know what would be really cheeky for them to do? Make the usual "okay here's the new character in KoF for the fans!" Example, Kensou, then they release another character but it's Shen this time. People might think, "oh cool that's interesting" and then release their 3rd dlc character all the while during the last bits of the 3rd character trailer, they form a team (e.g. Kensou/Shen/??? for Team Shanghai or smth) That also benefits some of the lore nerds since most dlc people are just that, they get their own slice of life to shine but for the 3 dlc characters to be related and form a team like it's an individual release will blow my mind

Rick is almost gonna be in a new KOF game, but the developers realize they have too many male characters so they decided to make a new female character named Vanessa. SNK needs to put Rick Strowd in the new Fatal Fury game, Rick is like the coolest Boxing character ever made

I appreciate the hardwork behind this list and video. You hit me right in the feels when you mentioned Takuma, he defines the entire Saga for me I took Eid picture as a kid posing like him. Hopefully he comes back again someway as a main or dlc and they work on his lore to be summoned by the orochi or something

YES! I would like to see Kusanagi returning. With his gameplay being based on KOF XIII Kyo, in that game normal Kyo plays like he was in KOF 95, plus having the unique Supers of Kyo-1 and Kyo-2. Many people like to play as "shoto Kyo"

Currently playing '99, and i kinda want to see Krizalid come back, if just for the story potential of it. He believed to be the strongest, that he would be a top-dog in the new future that NEST was going to create, but after being Defetead by K', he was unceremoniously dismissed and executed by NEST, and in his final moment he learned that *he* was the clone. everything he believed was a lie. Even if other NEST member were to be resurected, he probably would oppose them. And he could have interesting dynamics with team K', Kyo, Krohnen and the like. haven't goten to the Ash saga yet, but from what i know of it, i definitely want Adel to reappear, especially now that Rugal is resurected.

He's basically krohnen, if they want to being him back they NEED to change his fighting style, otherwise the fans will just criticize them for being lazy. For evidence look at team awakened orochi, even tho they play completely different from their original counterpart, the fans bash at them for being basically the same character.

I can respect this list. Lots of great picks here. Personally, all I want is Shen Woo. I genuinely do not care who else is added in S3, so long as Shen is one of them. That said, I too would love to see May Lee, Jhun Hoon, Krizalid, Adelheid, and Xiao Lon. They would be my top picks after good ol' Shen.

I'd personally keep any and all Fatal Fury/Garou characters to the upcoming Fatal Fury game. I'd also keep Mature, Vice and Daimon for the next game, don't mind them taking a break every now and then and the story makes explicit they're not participating this time. If we're going with six solo characters like the previous season I'd fill three slots with legacy characters who haven't been around in a good while (Adelheid, Kasumi, Jhun) and fill the remaining three slots with SNK characters who haven't been in a mainline KoF before (MI rep, World Heroes rep and Metal Slug rep). Also Krizalid for the boss challenge.

For a weird pick, I choose Top Hunter Roddy and Cathy from the arcade game would make a good surprise appearance. They have move and inputs similar to the SNK guys. And Blue from Blue's Journey and Macky from Twinkle Star Sprites. Wow, that's a team. I call this Team Other World.

Speaking of Top Hunter. Oda has mentioned in a interview that he wanted to put Cathy in the roster of SNK Heroines but couldn't made it in time, but at least he could put Jeanne D'Arc (his favorite Wolrd Heroes character) Hope that we get a sequel of SNK Heroines. That game is underrated. It just needed a bigger roster and stages.

Ok but have you thought about the publicity and commercial potential about the weird and obscure team? This is dlc reasoning and not initial roster reasoning. And have you thought if that will be positive for the game in the current times when it needs more attention from the public, that is fixated to SF and TK? I have doubts if selling weird stuff is what SNK and KOF are needing right now.

@@carlosaugusto9821 IMO, we're far along the DLC that introducing this team in Season 3 would be the shake up to get people talking like Negan from The Walking Dead in Tekken 7, (and Twinkle Star Sprite fans to get a nod about hopefully getting a modern release of that game with online play.) If not the wider audience (espically those in SF and Tekken), then I say the other SNK folks who's been diving in Arcade Archives re-releases and Twinkle Star Sprites fans. Of course, you're right, this team would be kinda off putting, all the more reason SNK is to finish off the potentially last season strong.

First, answering your question (I think everyone sides with me) I'd like the DLC season 3 to be team based, or at least, duos. It would be great that SNK decided to release, for instance, first DLC consisiting of Vice & Mature, second DLC consisting of May Lee and Jhun Hoon, then the bosses Krizalid and Adel, then the Sports team, to close it with Oswald and Eiji... I don't know, something like that would be just worth it to make everyone happy.

If season 2 was solo, it seems almost impossible that season 3 will be team based. That's an idea that should have been abandoned since the season 2 announcement. Also SNK is busy with other projects right now, unlike the time of the making of KOF 15 and its early stage of dlc production.

UNTIL I saw the new patch including the Advanced Strike, that thing changed practically all the gameplay, which means that SNK hasn't abandoned the game at all, they're just preparing some surprises. Well, at least I'm optimistic about it, I might be wrong... Who knows...

There could not have been a better time to get your video recommended to me after a while! It's very fitting to have Adel and Vice/Mature take the first two spots on this list because I personally believe that Mature and Vice should be on his team, not on Rugal's, for a multitude of reasons. If it were ever to be revealed that Mature is Adel's mother, it would be an interesting moral dilemma for her when she has to choose to either side with her son or (former?) lover (?), as well as would be interesting to see the possibility of Adel going Omega or Orochi explored. In that vein... would be interesting also to see a third half-blood character to be introduced for a team with Adel and Leona, and it just so happens that the fandom has already come up with one, and she even was introduced to, and warmly received in, some non-canon games.

Adelheid is a great choice for thr top slot, and I appreciate the acknowledgement that we need Vice and Mature. I played a lot if Vice so zi might be biased but her speedy grappler shenanegains are fun.

If exposure is going down perhaps try slowly branching out to other fighting games. I loved your vids on the entire story of SF and KoF. Maybe slowly doing the story for characters in other games like GG, Tekken, GBVS, and the like would help you branch out. Also 1m shorts about interesting things about characters would work (like how Angel as a character was made in a different game and later added to KoF through popular vote [i think])

Hey buddy been a while been super busy and the stupid KZfaq notification for your channel went off along with others so going to check out some your old videos. For me aside from the likely Bosses Krizalid, Igniz, Mizuki Rashojin and I’d love to see Ron maybe as Boss even though he is OG Zero’s Strikers and especially since we got Duo Lon now my list would be like: 1. Wolfgang Krauser 2. Adelheid Bernstein 3. Shen Woo 4. Nameless 5. This as the Master’s Team Gang Il, Chin Gentsai, Tung Fue Rue 6. Takuma Sakazaki/Mr Karate 7. As guest characters Team Hanzo Hattori, Fuuma Kotaro and Jeanne D Arc bringing us World Heroes Team please bring back this obscure Franchise SNK!! 8. My personnal wish list : - Far ahead N°1 : Vice (and mature) - Oswald - Takuma - Tung Fu Rue + Chin (+ Jubei Yamada?) - Karman Cole - Eiji Kisaragi KOF:MI representative would be fine, as would Agressor of Dark Combat or World Heroes. Metal Slug, though... don't really fit apart from dream match series (which XV is not, it's a canonic KOF)

I am more agree with your honorable mentions than your titulars. I would like to go beyond, and I would prefer to include some fighters from other forgotten franchaises instead uniquely KOF Characters, such as Hayate, Mezu, Rosa or King Leo (from Kizuna Encounter); Fuuma, Ryoko, Rasputín or Erick (from World héroes), Kaede, Akari, Santetzu or Amano (from Last Blade) and Pepe, Keith Wayne and Annie (from Rage of Dragons/Power Instinct). From NEST'S saga I prefer a BOSS Challenge with Original Zero. Greetings.

#8 Yeah, I'd love for the Taekwondo Kamen Rider that is May Lee to make a comeback one day. #7 Would love for the MI characters to make a comeback. After Garou 2 AKA Fatal Fury City of the Wolves is a reality after all this time, my hopium for Maximum Impact 3 to be real is an all time *HIGH!* Also I *DID* watch that video and commented on that thank you very much, Shoryu! #4 The return of Shen Woo would be nice. XV better give Ash/Duo Luon/Shen Woo a secret ending or we riot! #3 These characters have been left out of almost *ALL* the KOF sagas to this day. I'm really surprised Choi was not requested in the top 10. Ever since Kof 2002 in tournaments, players have been picking him as a second Iori, because of his speed and combos. He is one of my favorite characters in the Kof series.

I think that team-based DLC is the way to go. I like seeing familiar faces, but putting them into interesting team-ups is a big part of the charm of KOF. While all of these are great choices (Go, Adelheid!), I think that something reciprocal from Capcom for Terry and Mai being in SF6 Season 2 is intriguing. Just imagine: The Final Fight team of Haggar, Cody, and Guy, for example. Or Dan Hibiki, Sakura, and Blanka? But crossovers aside, what about a team of Ron, Krizalid, and Glugan (the black lion), the strikers for Original Zero from KOF 2001?

There's a lot of good options to choose. If I were to decide, I would try to choose character with innovative fighting styles inside the KoF sagas, characters that add some new to the gameplay of this game. Heavy D! and his shadow Stock (SNK tried to do something similar with Nadj's Anticipated Power Stock) Mai or Choi with their high aerial movility Momoko with her unique capoera style, Juhn, May Lee or even Hotaru and Chin with their stance fighting styles... And for boss challenge, I believe Magaki could be a great choice, though I believe they would be make Re-Verse & Otoma-Raga playable characters (obviously after properly nerfing Otoma-Raga) in a Two-Bosse challenge like Saisyu and Omega Rugal in KoF'95. Anyway, let's hope SNK decidess to give us a new Season for KoF XV, because this lack of news it's becoming more than worrying.

Even though i like Mature and Vice, i wont support their return to this game because i dislike how much it's been selling recycled assets from 14 as dlc. And the worst part to me are the dlcs that come from 14's initial roster like Geese and Kim. So Mature and Vice, being a fundamental pair like Ralf and Clark, means automatically to spend 2 slots in recycled assets from KOF 14. And I'm already assuming as obvious that the next season will be about solo chars again.

TEAM MAXIMUM IMPACT!! Alba Meira, the main hero of the Maximum Impact series. Would be awesome to have all the KOF main protagonists in one game. Lien Neville, the anti heroine and the poster gal of the MI series. KOF XV could use more ladies like her. Too many pretty girls with over-confidence already. I want to see her unique gameplay in a traditional KOF game Soiree Meira. A capoeira fighter, KOF XV lacks a dance fighter. I just wish we get a conclusion of the MI storyline and seeing Alba and Soiree reunite after many years

At this point of KOF 15 history the devs must likely invest in the hottest picks in order to make an impression at all, in a time most attentions are focused in other games. Also there are high chances this is going to be the last season and that its going to be solo chars again. Its not the time to pick types that are obscure or fairly less known. And i believe in the use of the surprise factor, but not exactly suprises with obscure chars. Actually i started to believe in the possibility of guest chars... because after everything brought by the 2 seasons so far, there are actually very few remaining hot picks to join the game. And that reasoning is already assuming points such as: there wont be "clones" like Kusanagi or Hwa Jai, there wont be more than 1 boss, and there wont be obscure picks. So in that sense its not hard to conclude that there are less great options left, after a cold and unbiased skimming over the whole KOF "global roster" (i.e all KOF rosters + FF and AOF rosters). Its not hard to imagine 1 or 2 final slots being saved for guests from SF or TK. Because i think only this kind of decision would make KOF took off and make a big buzz in the scene.

I think for a lot of the wilder stuff people want (especially non-humanoids), we need a Neo Geo Battle Coliseum 2 to fit them in more naturally instead of shoving them into KoF; KoF’s explanations within the narrative of the later-day non FF/AoF fighters joining are already dubious, so I don’t know if they could handle things like robotic primates, tentacled aliens, magical pixies, or a literal wizard who turns into a humanoid dragon joining in. (And those are just the more popular ones; imagine playing as a car with arms and a face…) Maybe we could get a couple of them as “Team NGBC” to promote the sequel? But people REALLY want a Metal Slug character; hope they don’t mind the possibility of having heroic characters as Boss Challenges. (A season of mostly villains with Fio as a boss challenge could be cool) Anyway: * Kasumi Todoh * Ryoko Izumo * May Lee * Momoko * Malin * Team South Town Troublemakers (Sinclair, Jack, John) * Team Neo South Town (Alfred Airhawk, Tsugumi Sendoh, Sho Hayate) * Team Ainu (Nakoruru, Rimruru, Cham-Cham) (I guess we can just have the last two as solo fighters and make it an edit team…) * Team Beart (The Bearts and Alba Meira) * Lenny Creston * Gai Tendoh * Some completely new characters * Lucky (if we can’t get the Sports Team back I’ll take just him)
