Click destroyed me when I first saw it. My uncle had taken me and my brother to see it after our grandfather passed away in an attempt to cheer us up. He felt very bad afterwards when the 2 of us left the theater bawling.

The one that took me off guard was Coco. When Miguel sings “remember me” to his grandmother. It was a grandson singing to his grandma and a father singing to his daughter. Shit destroyed me.

The ending for Logan, when Hugh Jackman dies at the hands of his doppelganger X24 had me bawling my eyes 👁️ out. It's a really emotional ending, the last time I had that was for the ending of Dead Poets Society when the boys stand on their desks paying tribute to their teacher Robin Williams, who has just been fired after being blamed for the death of a student.

I still remember watching bridge to terabithia for the first time when I was babysitting for some kids. They told me it was a good family movie. They had all seen it, not me. So I was just the crying babysitter 😭 I am legend made me cry so hard. Everyone hates Click but I'll always love it. Toy story 3 just feels like the perfect ending and it's so emotional.

You missed something. Unexpected tears come from things that are incredibly beautiful just as often as from things incredibly sad. "In Her Shoes" had me crying more than for any other movie, thru-out the movie for the beautiful connection that these sisters had despite the conflicts.

Dead poets society both one of the best and most painful movies I've ever seen. Neil was such a sunshine, he's like the kindest and the nicest fictional person I know, loved him so much and his death hit me SO hard, I cried for hours. Robert Sean Leonard is the one of most underrated actors! He was only about 20 y.o. when DPS came out, but gave us 100% Oscar-worthy performance.

I’d say it was the epilogue to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Hearing the music, seeing how everyone’s all grown up, and that 10 years of the film franchise was over, it is still one of those movies where I still cry at the ending.

I loved cast away cause I was watching it with my mom and aunty on TV and it just took all of us. We watched Tom Hanks' character struggle and we saw him befriend Wilson and I thought my mom and aunt would flip off the movie since Wilson was a ball but they connected with Wilson as well. So in the end when he drifted away and I found myself crying and I thought I was alone only to turn and see them crying too. Honestly I loved it connected all of us like that.

I've seen click and seven pounds but that was back when I was all repressed lol. BUT... when I eventually (at like age 30!) saw Pixar's "Inside Out", that was actually THE FIRST movie that I remember that strongly triggered tears from me... and a few years or so after that, "Interstellar" got me... and then "The Land Before Time", and Nimona and a few others.

I have two movies that ripped my heart out in the theater. 1.Steele Magnolias. Sally Field screaming " WHY? WHY ? " at her daughers funeral is SO REAL. I really embarrassed myself during this scene in the theater, lol. 2. The Perfect Storm : This one for two reasons . One being it's based on a true event with a horrible ending . And the speech Mark Walberg is saying to his wife just before he knows he is about to die. My dad was / is, a fisherman, and him and his friends knew the real guys the movie was about.

Apparently Ms. Mojo must confine herself to more recent movies in order to cater to her target audience. I would nominate a couple older movies for exceptionally sad endings: "Beaches" with Bette Midler. And "Brian's Song"-- the first movie to make grown men cry. As for foreign movies, I would nominate the Japanese film "Nada Sou Sou." ("Tears Flowing Endlessly") Probably the saddest movie ever made. Do track it down and watch it if you have a chance. There are clips on KZfaq. You won't be disappointed. 😢

Legends Of the Fall and many very sad scenes. I agree about I am Legend, Toy Story 3 (I was already well into adulthood) and Cast Away. Unless you are Demi Moore in Ghost, mostly all crying is ‘ugly’😂😂

Man watching Guardians of Galaxy really was the only movie that made me lose it in theaters. My mom had passed away quickly with cancer a few months before it came out.

LOL yes , as one other commenter said, "PIxar is the Devil" (!!) "Inside Out" (which I saw only a few years ago) was actually THE FIRST movie that I remember that strongly triggered tears from me... and that's at like age 30 (!) So that definitely says something about that movie lol.

Even though Inside Out definitely makes me cry every time, the title of the video says “unexpectedly made you ugly cry”, and Pixar is pretty known for making people cry every time!

I've seen probably a little less than half of these movies but most of them made me unexpectedly cry. Bridge to Terebethia definitely is number one to me. When we first watched that movie and we found out that Leslie was dead I actually laughed and said "Nuh uh!" But then I looked over at my mom who looked at me with this sad face and then it hit me that she had died and I started sobbing

Um...Where was Up?! No one cannot ugly cry in the intro scene, kids or adults. I was not expecting that scene after just watching the Partly Cloudy short! Still makes me ugly cry to this day.

While "Legends of the Fall," made me ugly cry ... it also made me angry. Why? Susannah. *She's* why! In regards to "Cast Away" : You didn't mention that the woman he loved married someone else.
