This game is so much more in-depth than I ever expected it would be. I'm gonna hop into it for the first time right now, but from some quick guides I watched I can tell it's so far beyond what Legends Arceus ended up being.

an earlier alternative to rayhound is the eikthyrdeer, they also have double jump, and their "antler uppercut" attack makes you move an extremely far distance extremely fast. they're in the starting area and usually spawn between lvl9-13

This game is absolutely blowing up right now. I'm on Game Pass and might buy it on Steam just to have versatility of who to play with. Was not expecting this game to be so massively addicting, but goddamn it's GOOD.

It actually looks more like Pokémon arceus rather than any other Pokémon game. But it was one of my favourite. And Palworld has a lot of differences and nuances. It's catchy

Honestly for something everyone thought was gonna be a meme game, there's quite a bit of effort and actual thought put in to mechanics as well as optimization. Multi-player is a bit buggy with Pals at your base, but that's to be expected.

Another early ride mount with double jump is eiysihorn or whatever the white and purple stag you can find near the starting area

Erykthadeer has double jump as well and you can catch it really early ( find them in beginning area at about level 9)

i think the best thing to get immediately is the vixie or even 2. after a little bit of it on the ranch youll never need to farm or craft spheres then you can spend 20 spheres trying to get a pal.

another amazing pal for your party is lunaris, she is SUPER strong and learns alot of different type moves that can flatten alot of bosses. also she looks super cool imo

An ACTUAL "early game" would look more like: 1. foxspark as you can make it a flamethrower and it keeps you warm standing near it 2. Rushboar is easy ground mount and you can charge rocks for ore 3. Tombat is a good passive minernfor early game found at night 4. Nitewing is easy to find and is first flying mount. 5. Lifmunk are low lvl and do a lot at base

Also, if you can make it to the bottom left of the map and skirt along the outer ridge of the volcano until you reach the northern beach of the volcano island... You can sometimes find Huge Dragon Eggs randomly on the shore. These seem to usually hatch into the rare Jormuntide Ignis, the single highest kindling pal in the game (4, and a massive 5 when condensed), while other huge dragon eggs from the central region usually just hatch into Relaxaurus. Jormuntide Ignis is level 40+ in Sanctuary 3 and tends to smack you through the floor when angered, so getting them for free without risking a bounty is nice.

The best attacker pal near 20 lv is the samurai dude pal, he deals 5-8k dmg also can use teleport party skill that deals insane dmg. He literally out damage almost all low lv pals up to lv 35 or more.

You can assign a pal to a station by picking it up and throwing it at the station you want it as well

A couple things worth noting, if you want your pals grinding resources hard then have ones that only mine and lumber. I go so far as using ones that only plant and only water as well, and then i fill the base with ranch pals. The deer guy is better than the wolf as an early ground mount. Dont build your palbox indoors unless youre okay with picking up your big guys and puting them outside every now and then

ive been flying around stealing eggs, ive got an entire building in my base dedicated to egg incubators. the best boss Pal ive gotten from them is the big yellow ballon lightning guy (right side of the map half way down)

I found that Digtoise when assigned to the base does only 1 damage when spinning instead of 20-30 when in your party.. You must have the headband for him, and it only works when in your party. I would recommend Reptyro for lvl 3 mining at the base 👌

Bro another must have Pals that I was able to get just now is the Leezpunk Ignis, its passive allows you to search nearby Dungeons. The cooldown is long but I think its very useful.

This game is so good! The fact it’s early access is CRAZY!

Just caught a jetdragon and that one is insane! flies incredibly fast, fastest in the game by far. Really love this game, has some anoying things like pals dropping materials on the floor instead of in the boxes but besides that amazing game and its only early acces! Cant wait to see whats to come.

if you want an early-mid game anubis, breed a bushi and penking, both are bosses and are lvl 23 and 15 respectively

for fire pals i use reptyro lvl 3 kindling and lvl 3 mining makes it super worth taking them especially for an ore farm base since theyll just smelt the ore for you so you can save a spot and use it for another mining pal

Mossanda not only gives a lot of XP for killing, but it's the best place to farm coins that I've found. Just capture all of them and head to the black market on the north fork of the road just under the first Church fast travel point and you'll find a cave. Trade him and each Mossanda sells for nearly 2k. Helpful if you are buying your arrows from the town or need to reset pal souls that you've invested in pals you don't use anymore.

Imo Rushoar when you have the saddle and charge into boulders/ore has been one of the better ways to efficiently mine

I could not get any pals to keep my cool box cold. Had heaps of frost/freeze types but all had other jobs to do also.I had an early penguine type pal and I picked it up a s threw it at the cool box and it sat down and permanently started cooling it. Does throwing a pal at a job lock it to that job?

One thing ill say is swift eikthydeer can be faster than a direhowl as antler uppercut lets you zoom around the map at a low stamina cost

I have a sheep I bring around for fun that was a shiny and has the big 180 damage dark attack, also has like 350 attack currently at level 22. He also got a 130 damage neutral move.

FYI you can use the paldeck and click habitat to see all world placement of these creatures.

do captured and alphas respawn? playing duo with my friend and we found a camp with a captured pal and he claimed it, does that mean I can't claim it or I have to find a different camp with it?

You can breed eikthyrdeer and a robinquill to get a guaranteed fenglope which is the fastest land mount.

The Moose looking things you can get as lvl 10s are able to do the double jumps. And they spawn much closer to starting area. Eikyr somethings idk

Not sure if you have a video of farming yet but I found putting 4 planters do with a couple of water and planting types ensures never picking food again! It was very tedious having to get berries all the time with 8 workers lol

imo the deer near the starter area is also really good and accessible. (their dash is really fast and they have a double jump)

Katress also spawns in the wild outside of dungeons, do the wild and alpha/dungeon katress work as the same pal in the condenser?

Breeding sweepa and tombat makes anubis. Lv 4 handicraft and a wonderful addition to a party

Fun fact, you can stack movement passives. Legendary plus the three lower tier speed passives is insane.

Not a creature, but I’d recommend to build pelt cold resistant armor then loot chests in the snow to get better palspheres (giga and hyper are more common but mega are all over the floor)

Are there any disadvantages to using a Boss version or Shiny version of a pal vs the original version?

I didn't find one with swift but i find a night wing with runner, so +20% movement speed and another with nimble which is +10% and the first baby i bred got both on it. Just gotta find one with swift and you can stack all 3 for +60% movement speed.

Penking isn't just a great base worker, it's also the most useful breeding stock for the first half or even two-thirds of the game. It has a perfect breeding chain all the way to Anubis, and also a bunch of other powerful pals.

For my ore farm, I put 3 in it because I have 2 kindle for ore and coal, and the other is to pick up all the 3 resources of ore, wood, and coal. They are the best to me but until I can see what Anubis can do I'm bias.

Didn't get lucky with a Nightwing with swift but I got insanely lucky with a Vanwyrm with swift on my first attempt.

Nitewing may be good at the beginning of the game, but it is one of the slowest "Pals" in the game. The "Swift" bonus is a very good thing, but even with this bonus it barely catches up with the basic versions of later flyers.

just a fyi, you can get most pals through breeding if you know the combination. for example. you can get a anubis if you breed and penking and a bushi

If you pick up a Pal and place them down next to a job place, it will ONLY do that job. No need to go find a Pal with only one skill. Just pick it up and place it at where you want it to work.

the issue is after i catch em... i need to be end lvl to ride em... so... yeah. also there is a leaf guy who looks kinda like that dark one you have but has 3 handy work... its amazing.

Dark Type Pals don't sleep either, so characters like Tombat are exceptional for mining and base cleanup.

theres also a lvl 25 boss fang something that also has a double jump but idk at what level exactly you can unlock its saddle

Jormuntide is great and you can get him at level 19 by breeding relaxasaurus and elizabee

I use the purple deer as lumberer since it's a lvl 2 lumber exclusive.

Theirs a better ground mount and u can get it right off the beginning almost, the purple deer guy has a charge skill that lasts long can literally let u run thru an entire zone in 5 charges way faster then rayhound

I’m up to level 24 passively playing just make shure to use a optimal base. I made my second on Moxsy #1 base tonight and already have 750 ore Afking with a few decent miners a hour of play in😂 but also down the stairs from the first fast travel at the beginning of the game I made a base and so far it’s unraidable with enough room to make a pretty great low level base definitely enough room for a self sustaining berry farm+ both stone and woodcutting farms. I have about 3000 red berries without doing anything just in the feed basket along with ranch consumables and all that good stuff just on the first flight down past the first fast travel😂😂

Warsect's arena is right where the Gobfins roam, so you can farm Pal Fluid extremely quickly at the same time. Gobfins aren't particularly tough and they're plentiful.

One Pal that I found a HUGE help to have in my base was Robinquill. This guy has so many useful tasks that he provides. He's definitely up there with the fire witch guy.

You can also buy warsect by a blacksmith near starting island for 20K coins

When you say "You get *this bonus* if this pal is in your party when fighting", do you mean it just needs to be in the party or does it actually need to be the one out fighting?

Anubis i bred first with quivern and chillet. I love penking so much, and he just smacks insanely. Nightwing too.
