In this video I explain the Top 10 Ninja Weapons and Tools that the Shinobi would use on a mission in ancient Japan! The 10 items that the ninja would have taken on a mission are:
.
(01) Amigasa (Japanese Straw Hat)
(02) Sanjaku Tenugui (Shinobi 3 Foot Cloth)
(03) Kagi Nawa (Ninja Hooked Rope)
(04) Metsubushi (Shinobi Blinding Powders)
(05) Makibishi (Ninja Caltrops)
(06) Ninjato (Kodachi; Short Sword Of The Ninja)
(07) Tanto (Knife Used By The Shinobi)
(08) Uchitake (Fire Starter Used By The Ninja)
(09) Kunai (Small Shovel Used By Shinobi)
(10) Food Rations Used On Ninja Mission. This is not just for the ninja on a mission, but also to help get passed guard dogs. In many ninja historical text, it documents how the ninja had to constantly deal with guard dogs and one of the many ways to get passed them is to befriend them, and to feed them. That way they do not bark when they see or smell you coming close to them.
.
In this video, I referenced the historical text of the Gunpo Jiyoshu which was a military document written in 1612. The quotes that I used came from the English translation of that text and that is a book called: “The Secret Traditions of the Shinobi”, written by Antony Cummins and Yoshie Minami.
