Nice video and good tips. I would take all of them because the hobby is just awesome. Bashing is fun with the kid and crawling when you're alone. For beginners, my pick is the Arrma Granite 3s - incredibly stable and powerful🔥🔥🔥

My brother bought his 6 year old son a Bigfoot this summer. SO many hours of entertainment he got out of that thing with only one minor cheap breakage. I made him an adjustable ramp and it works great!

Tip for the arrma 6 s users. Keep it as light as possible. 5000 ma/h battery. Every upgrade creates a metal to plastic connection. I prefer all the stock configurations, just make sure your drewp screws are set, and if you take a bad hit, look it over so as to not have a lose screw that could have been replaced before destroying the tail or the servo etc. Put a new servo in it when you can handle it on 6 s. The steering is fine for 4 s or tame 6 s running. Outcast being the most stout for bashing, but the tail wing is a weak spot. Upgrade the tail wing to a tbone or rpm skid wheelie bar.

I’ve owned an xmaxx, maxx, slash, stampede 4x4, e revo, rustler, granite, infraction, outcast 8s EXB and a Kraton 6s EXB. My favorite definetly the Arrma 6s platform. Handles like a dream not only on the ground but in the air as well. And like kev said, with some tweaks they are tough as nails. I just built myself a Kraton XL/fireteam and can’t wait to run it

I enjoy watching and getting my RC fix from your vids ever since I was taken off work for medical reasons and had to sell off my RCS for bills and living expenses, I never bashed as hard as you kev but if I am ever able to get back into the hobby it's good to know what RCS are durable thanks to your vids.

Great video. I used to work at a Canadian Tire store in the shop changing tires and doing oil changes. Two things used to happen right after Christmas. First, everybody was out of money from the holidays and the shop was real slow. Second, the store side of things would discount everything heavily. So the guys from the shop would go buy the toy grade R/C's that were on sale, and most would spend no more than 50 dollars Canadian. We would load up on batteries and have an absolute laugh running them on the shop floor. The fun thing at the time is they only had a couple frequencies so one guy would turn his radio on and goof with someone with the same frequency car.

Hey Kev! Been watching your channel for a long time now. I’m from a small town called FarmVille Virginia US. My 4 year old an I watch your videos in our down time. Last night he said “daddy can we go drive rc cars with him? He jumps to the moon!” He doesn’t understand how far away you are lol. But I figured that might give you a laugh. Makin kids happy and fall in love with the hobby. Keep it up man thank you for the peace and quiet when he’s zoned out watching you! Priceless.

Id also like to see a video on you ranking rc motors and esc as well as other parts. You have years of experience plus you are always experimenting with so many different brands and combos you have alot better overall knowledge than the average joe

I love your vids and enthusiasm but let’s be honest 5T 2.0 tuned pipe in standard form , one of the best Rc cars ever , drive all day , no battery issues and an absolute beast and with the sound to go with it , no I need more lipo nonsense , oh yeah 😊

10:26 I worked in a cabinet shop and the first week I was there I saw a rack of trim routers and full sized routers. "why so many"? Each is set up for round over, chamfer, flush cut, template etc. "it takes about 30 minutes to change over a bit and set it up, do that twice or three times and it's paid for the router" so now whenever I need to flush trim, I just grab the one with the flush trim bit. It worked so well when I opened my own shop I had the same. Whenever I saw one at a garage sale or whatever, I bought one. I had 14 at one point. As for drills: I have 6 now. Why? Have one in my paint area for mixing paint, a small one for tiny drill bits, an ugga dugga for screwdriving, one in my cnc area for attaching things to the spoiler board. Why not? Saves me having to walk back and forth across the shop a dozen times a day. PLUS? A kit with 2 batteries and charger is the same price as 2 batteries. If you keep your eyes open when you're out and about you see them on deep discounts when that model gets discontinued. I was going through home depot and saw a stack of bosch drills: $59.99 CDN. 2 batteries charger and drill. I bought 3...the batteries alone sell for $129,99. I got back to the job site and sold 2 for $80.00 each.

I respect these types of videos. Kevin has so many cars, beats the snot out of them and is pretty clear about why he likes each one.

I remember seeing Traxxas ads in Radio Control Car magazines for the first time in the very early 90s. They didn’t have much market share then. It was a battle between Associated and Losi for the most part, with Kyosho practically owning the 4WD and 1/8 market.

My top 10 favorites so far this year are the X-Maxx, 5ive T, Slash 4x4 Platinum\Ultimate, XO-1, Infraction 6s, Sledge, Hoss, Vendetta 3s, B74.1, Slash 2wd VXL. I lit up when you said the HPI savage is one of your favorites. I still have my original 20-ish year old Savage 21. Got it as a kid and brought it back to life in 2020 with new motor and electronics. Still my favorite to play with even over my Arrma Fireteam. Great vid!

My main Christmas present this year is a Taylor 35 engine can't wait

So I have an XMaxx and love it. For variety I got a Typhon 3s a few months ago. I also have a hybrid of a rustler/slash with a Baja body. Still really enjoy 3s. I also have a few Tamiya shelf queens, Lunchbox, Grasshopper etc. Different cars for different occasions. Yes the XMaxx is my favourite but they all put a smile on my face.

Sledge comment: I'm a big Arrma fan. I have 20+ high-end RC cars with all the upgrades on all of them.... except the Sledge. It doesn't actually need much. Right out of the box, the thing is great. I've been hard on it and everything has held up very well.

My personal likes from your vid are the MT10 and the Infraction. Loved the speed of Infraction and how much grief the MT10 took
