John Lennon: says the Beatles are "bigger than Jesus", beats women, admits to having sexual desire for his mother, emotionally abuses son, cheats on wife; is almost universally revered in both media and pop culture. Kanye West: calls himself a god, makes candid remarks at reward shows and national television, touts his own success; has a whole entourage of people who actively dislike him. Even the POTUS called him a jackass. Also, it'd be a bit weird if he wasn't his own biggest fan. Art is an inherently narcissistic endeavor, no? This video just seems like it's capitalizing on the "Kanye West is a docuchebag!!!!" bandwagon. Noel Gallagher is a bigger douche than Kanye is, attacking pretty much EVERY relevant artist out there despite only having put out 2 decent records and yet you seldom hear people complain about him. I hated Kanye up until about a month or so ago when I actually decided to give both his music and his personality a chance. He's not a horrible dude. He's been through some rough shit and I think the car crash he was in coupled with his mom's death messed him up a bit. Everyone's flawed.

Noahsaures Rex uhhhhhhhh Most of this stuff is pretty well-known. Why don't you Google it? Julian has mentioned on multiple occasions, although he's made peace with his father now, that John was a massive hypocrite. He even went so far to say that Paul was more of a father to him than John ever was. As for the mother thing, there is an audio diary he recorded in 1979 that explicitly mentions his sexual affinity for his mother. Dorothy Jarlett, the Lennons' former housekeeper when John was married to Cynthia, caught him in bed with Yoko Ono when Cynthia was away. Later in his life he admitted to beating women as a younger man. In "Getting Better", there's a line written by Lennon where he openly mentions being "cruel to [his] woman" (although Paul sings the majority of the song and wrote most of it). I love the Beatles but John wasn't the most scrupulous human being. Doesn't detract from their music at all, though.
