Native Distaste! I'm from NY but I'm from upstate NY where the lifestyle is laidback. You can't think that if I'm from NY I'm from the city!!

The "Red" aspect of this area can be a huge selling point for people leaving their home state for specific reasons. The Native distaste is very real in the south in general. I came to TN for nursing school with a CA plate and people would get very angry. I'd be worried about people bringing the CA mentality to my home though so I get it. People in the south aren't afraid to ask if you're a democrat lol

#10 makes so much sense! I moved here from Chicago last June and kept my Illinois plates. I get bullied on the road, and my neighbors won't even let their dogs make eye contact with me. Also, on occasion, when they hear my "yankee" accent, complete side eye. 😂

Could substitute Greenville for Summerville in the title. Most of these problems occur in the upstate as well.

No, they are just smart and don’t wanna be messed with. Plus they have southern kindness, you know that word, MANNERS. Lacking in most EVERY OTHER STATE.

I"M IN!!! You had me at: God, Family and Guns!. If you want to live in a Socialist/Progressive State where those values mean nothing then move up here to Vermont. ??? and why is that? You should probably start thinking about buying. Renting is about to get a heck of a lot more expensive. Do you enjoy paying your landlords bills?

You seemed like you weren't real supportive of the renters in your video... either way, I can rent and have someone else pay my repairs and lawn care or I can rent from the bank for 30 years and pray I don't need insane amounts of work to upkeep the home, borrow against the equity and still be owning nothing... oh and if I want to move hope the market is good enough to let me go when I want to go... it's expensive regardless which route you go and overpaying right now with inflated rates is insane just to hope I can refinance at a lower rate later while paying a $4000. Month payment for a house I could be paying $2500 for and being house piir while hoping the economy doesn't crush us during that waiting period and not to mention the tax hikes that make it even more insane. Nah, I'll keep my cash flow in my pocket and let someone else pay for everything.

Tons of homeschooling families and groups here. I was actually homeschooled myself. So I have thought about that option.

Let’s not forget about litter all over the place and terrible roads that are not made to handle the volume. Developers / Builders rule and get what they want.

Yep get it. Live in Ct and all new Yorkers buying in Ct. I can’t stand to see ny plates. I was born and raised in Ct. So I get it with the Southern families.

That's odd. Half the CT. plate drivers probably had NY plates before. That migration has been happening for many decades.

It's pretend, they hate most Americans here because we aren't Southern. Native hate, they tell us we don't matter because we weren't born here. That's not a small group telling us this.
