we moved from long Island NY to Summerville three years ago and absolutely love it. Small town feel, can still drive to the beach and 30 minutes away from downtown Charleston. My kids love it and assimilated into high school beautifully. They thrived. Love the simple slow relaxed lifestyle here and everyone is super friendly.

Waterpark passes are $90/person for a year? Are there any good amusement parks close by? I want to live in a super friendly neighborhood with a lot of community activities to get to know and make friends easily. Are most of the people genuine or just on the "outside" if you know what I mean?

I heard house mold is very common. Is that true? If so, how do you prevent it, and take care of it if you get it?

We literally just loved here to Summers Corner one week ago!! We are SO happy. We did move from a master plan community in Denver, where things were more like Nexton. I could jump down to the grocery store in five minutes or be at target in seven… However, I love the feel of Summers Corner . I love that it feels more rural yet the neighborhoods are so beautiful and modern and charming so it’s no big deal to plan ahead a few extra minutes to do grocery shopping and what not to feel like we’re a little bit farther away from hustle and bustle of where we were for a long, long time. You can’t beat the rural aesthetic backdrop of lush greenery EVERYWHERE amongst feeling nestled in a suburban neighborhood. The best of both in my opinion. I read so many comments before coming out here about how bad the traffic was and it’s all relative as well. It is absolutely mild in comparison to Denver. To each their own. 🙏🏻💜 By the way, Ryan congratulations on your fifth and we definitely wanted to use you but when we came out to visit to look at homes, you were on a much well-deserved cruise lol still love your videos 😂🎉

I wouldn't say Nexton or Historic District is a neighborhood, but more a section of Summerville. Actual neighborhoods, per the title for this video, I would say The Ponds is by far one of the best, along with Summers Corner.

That's a jaded way to look at it. Also not many of these folks are Rich. Unless you define a normal mortgage as less than a $1000/month , then yes these homes are for the "Rich" lol... however you can get into one of these homes for about the cost of traditional mortgage $2200-$2500/month. That's not Rich. Not sure what you mean by "Normal seniors" but I know a lot of people who work hard, save their pennies, and plan their retirement and spend their savings on these homes. Stop acting Jealous and put in the work and you can live in one two. But it sounds like you'd prefer "Normal Homes for SC Seniors" whatever that means. Happy Memorial Day!

@@jvahl8747Everything is expensive. That’s why we can’t waste our votes in 2024. In 2020 it only cost $74,000 household income to afford a market value home. Now in 2024, the bring home income for a family to afford “market value home” is $125,000! These are facts.

The Black Women will follow as they watch and see so many black men see themselves as they really are: HARD WORKING MEN wanting the American Dream! NOT A BLACK hardworking man. Big difference. We generally don’t describe other men by their skin color - so why do we do it to men and/or women who appear to be black. Remove the labels and you’ll see yourself as ONLY those positive adjectives. Anyone who is able to see, will automatically know you’re black, brown, white so why do we even use the adjective? To remind you of your place in life? Minor example is when some college graduate said “it’s UNEDUCATED women who got Trump elected.” She was inferring that I was less than her because I don’t have a piece of paper “telling me I’m as special as she sees herself.” Don’t buy into the labels. MAKE THEM explain it by asking “what do you mean by UNEDUCATED?” As my dad who had to quit school in 9th grade to help out family “his education didn’t end then.” He continued learning. The man was a ferocious reader and an incredible heavy equipment operator. I’ve known people dumber than a door nail who had that piece of paper. The comment was more to label others to allow herself to feel more superior. Doesn’t work if you refuse to accept the label and apply the adjectives that actually do matter. Skin color should be the last thing that matters.

Summerville High School is Dangerous and we locals have started Home Schooling in unforeseen numbers starting our own co-ops! you want your kids to go to these overcrowded Hell holes of drugs, crime, bullying and lack of real education come on down your welcome to them! 2.) You Don’t mention the Tropical Storms & Hurricanes and when they HIT HERE all those cheap slapped together gigantic vinyl sided 2x4 & cheap plywood houses are going to be destroyed! All thats left will be the slabs they sat on. 3.) WE HAVE LOST 2 CLOSE FAMILY FRIENDS BY HIT AND RUN KILLERS WITH MORE HAPPENING EVERYDAY. Before the enormous influx of transplants got here ppl actually STOPPED when they ran somebody down! but not anymore with the outsiders y’all run us down, leave, and then ANOTHER CAR RUNS OVER THE BODIES AGAIN and they don’t stop either!! WHAT KIND OF PPL DO THAT?? Thats what we don’t like! Raise the taxes and you want the SINKHOLES in the roads here repaired? Hold your breath because “repaired” means slopping a shovel full of asphalt into it that will turn into an even larger sinkhole in a month! Everything you mentioned is chicken feed to the above problems we are dealing with here now! You want to post a video about Summerville post about these problems and while your at it make sure you buy a “Dr Horton” Developer’s home lol 😂 Throwing your trash out your car windows and then complaining about all the trash the locals stopped picking up after you!, unbelievable how entitled you ppl are! smh 🤦🏻‍♀️
