We’re moving from Denver and traffic was adorable when we came to visit compared to here lol We fell in love with Summerville and South Carolina in general. We’re so excited. So grateful. God is so good!!!

Lol, I was stationed on and Ammunition ship homeported at goose creek weapons station. I lived in Summerville in 1979 in a trailer court out in the sticks, had massive keg parties there almost every weekend lots of drugs, Harleys and women.. The best of times.. Lol

I love South Carolina for three different reasons Charleston, Hilton Head, and Myrtle Beach. There are many nice new communities throughout South Carolina. However moving South in 2024, does not mean you will live amongst Southern people or experience authentic southern living, This is what people are searching for coming from areas like Maryland and Northern Virginia. Both are highly 👍populated. Overall, South Carolina is listed as one of the best states to live in right now in 2024.

Prices are same for food. But taxes on housing is a win win for me.

The food prices as well as gasoline are not inexpensive.

I live in CA the crazy gas price is 4:59 and that was cheap. No wonder I want to get out of here. How do you get used to the humidity? I live in the High desert so it's 110f right now, but not humid. I heard house mold is very common. Is that true? If so, how do you prevent it, and take care of it if you get it?

Is Summerville progressive in regards to diverse populations? I am only asking due to the use of the term plantation still being used 🤔

Honestly, if you're worried about words or terms like "Plantation" then this might not be the best area for you. What I tell everyone, this area isn't going to change for anyone. It's not the "south will rise again" kind of environment but if words hurt your feelings, then this is not the place for you. So if you are asking if Summerville is progressive in that they will remove the words plantation from popular places. No, Summerville is not progressive in that regard. But if you are coming here to enjoy the laid back lifestyle and your not caught up with the "Woke" culture, then this area is progressive in that regard.
