It's funny how Penny changed all of them. She introduced Howard and Bernadette, she was the first girl Raj talked to drunk and sober, became like a sister to Sheldon, and last but not least the love Penny and Leonard have for each other. Almost forgot about becoming Amy's best friend.

@Captain Smartass that would have ruined it. The best part of their friendship was that Penny was like a sister, standing up for Sheldon when he needed help and sitting with him when he needed time. Penny truly understood Sheldon. Their dynamic was the best part of the show. To add a romantic element to that dynamic would have ruined the pure friendship they cultivated.

When Sheldon made up several gift baskets of different values depending on how much the present Penny gave him was worth. And when he unwrapped it and found Leonard Nimoy’s autograph, he gave Penny every gift basket and a big hug.

Well said. Seeing her in that dress took his breath away. "You look like a pile of swans" was, legit, the only way he could word how Absolutely Beautiful she looked in the dress. The dress was totally 'her', and totally against typical 'trend'. Same as their love for eachother.

I really liked the episode when Mrs. Wolowitz died and the group thought Sheldon was going to tell Howard to "Get over it" when he talked about how his own father passed. Then he tells Howard that he has this group of people that care about him. 😊

Penny was the human aspect to their genius that the boys needed. Even Sheldon, in all his greatness, learned from Penny how to be more human and emotional. Reinforced by Amy and Bernadette. I loved the ending, where you see Sheldon address Howard with his highest rank and accomplishment, “astronaut.” For the first time, acknowledging that he is still just as accomplished as them. It was a beautiful bit of writing and performed to perfection.

I had to stop the video and cry for about 30 minutes. My Grandma raised me from age 5. She taught me so much about life and being a good and caring person. Just one example: July 4, 1974 - we had a Veterans' parade in our small home town. We were behind two teenagers and when the Vietnam veterans started rolling by, the teenagers started yelling "Murderers, baby killers" My Grandma slapped the back of their heads as hard as she could. When they turned around and saw her, she stated "you may not like our government's policy for being there, but you WILL RESPECT those who serve and risk their lives to make sure you are free to be complete jackasses." I was thinking about the the other day because we're in the month of July. My Grandma passed away last December at the age of 91. When Sheldon said "it tastes like one of her hugs" I lost it, knowing I'm never going to be able to hug her again on this earth. I miss her so and our weekly phone calls (we lived 1600 miles apart when she died) and she going on and on about the Braves (her favorite baseball team).

I think penny’s box of memories was easily the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. Most of these moments made me emotional all over again. When Sheldon mentioned how Leonard and Penny’s child will be smart and beautiful, it truly brought things full circle. 😭😭🥺🥺

That moment when Sheldon bites into the cookie Amy made from his grandmother’s recipe and declares “It’s perfect! It tastes like her hugs!” always gets me. My late grandma made special cookies only at Christmas from an old family recipe. She made them for all friends and family with her love. Ever since her passing they don’t get made often, but when they do, it’s like a little bit of her love is somehow still finding its way into them.

Penny’s bond with Sheldon always warmed my heart, Raj getting rejected by Lucy always break my heart but then I smile when he is able to finally talk to women, Sheldon and Amy’s first time in particular was beautiful plus the first I love you was great. I can’t not mention when Penny finally says I love you to Leonard always an emotional one.

Penny and Sheldon bonding in the bathroom after his birthday party anxiety attack really encapsulated the whole series. Despite having disdain for such people growing up, she learned to love Sheldon and the gang like family---so much so that I think only she could have talked him down from his angst and despair. Ironically, she "got" him more than his longtime fellow scientist friends. And Sheldon and his crew learned how to associate with people outside their insular professional and cultural realm.

I would've add the part where Sheldon thanks his dad because he felt helpless due to being told that Super-Asymmetry couldn't be proven by one's perspective. After watching a video from his past and was taped over of a football game, Amy and Sheldon analyzed the Speech that Sheldon's father gave, comparing it to prove their Theory to boost their confidence once again, Sheldon looks at the paused video of his father, feeling a weight has been lifted off his shoulders, "Thanks, Dad... We're gonna give them hell!" That really had me with tears of joy because he didn't realize how good of a father he really was when he was alive and it was something Sheldon needed to hear and making sure, with Amy's help, they can prove what the people who started it couldn't at the time.

I feel like the big bang theory has the best character development out of any show I've ever seen. Like if you think back the very beginning, a lot of the characters quite honestly didn't have the best personality and were in no way perfect whatsoever. But over the years, you can tell that they changed each other for the better, but they're the same person through and through, just a better version of themselves than they were before.

I always loved the one when Penny is happy when Raj makes a personal breakthrough in his social anxiety, because it shows how integrated into the group she is. She's not just there for Leonard and Sheldon, she's a presence in all their lives. My favorite is when Raj finds out he can speak to women when he's drunk, because it was the first time you get the sense of Penny becoming a part of the group.

A lot of great moments here and a lot of heart. Favorites for me are Penny and Sheldon in the bathroom, Amy making Mee Maw's Christmas Cookie and Howard's 6 Renditions of his Father's Letter. Touching moments.

Not agree, Not agree, Not agree, how could I possibly not agree. I watched the show from beginning to end, well almost the end. I missed the last show and I have spent years looking for it. But by the time this video ended I had tears of joy running down my face even as I write this comment. You did a remarkable job with your picks and while I’m sure that there are others, I was moved by your selection. Thank you for this fantastic job with the narration and your picks.
