Warriors (Warrior Cats) is a series of novels based on the adventures and drama of multiple Clans of feral cats created by Victoria "Vicky" Holmes. The series is primarily set in a fictional forest, and later by a lake, in which fights and disputes over territory often occur between the groups: ThunderClan, ShadowClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and SkyClan as well as StarClan, the Dark Forest (The Place of No Stars), and BloodClan. I mean, Eggs and that entire family sounds like names I wound unironically give my own kittypets. I LOVE food names. My first cat was a tortie and named Molasses, but we shortened it to Molly for her paperwork.

i personally think wee hen is a very cute name, not 100% sure if they're using it in the definition of "little chicken" or the more scottish "little lady", but it's still adorable! some names i find weird/interesting are the characters whose names are references and nods to things- macgyver and zelda are presumably named after the tv and video game characters respectively, frankie (stormfur) and benny's names seem to come from the restaurant frankie & benny's, and millie is actually named after an editor's cat who's named after a football team that have apparently... questionable connotations, millwall fc.

Actually Benny and Frankie were named after two cats of the same name whose owner sat next to Vicky on a flight to Boston, the guy on the plane said his girlfriends daughters reads the series! But it’s possible the cats irl were named after the restaurant, also his name is Stormcloud

i just finished reading tallstars revenge before I watched this video and I remember reading wee hen's name and having to take a pause thinking about how weird that game was. I also thought of cows whenever I read Bess's name. Maybe it's just me but I thought Algernon's name was weird

Personally I love ALL of the Warriorclan names, I love love love warriorclan it’s just the most clan ever 10/10!!! I love goofy names in Warriors, I wonder how strong they are considering they’re all carrying the entire series. Anyway, good video!!

Ngl from all names, the one I mostly find the weirdest is Tom from Dotc, although Tom is technically a very a common name in real life what makes the name weird for me is that Tom is literally a gender in Warrior cats, being the equivalent of male cat, so when I discovered there was a literal character named Tom I’m the series I was like “Is no one going question the fact this cat is literally name after the equivalent of male cat?” And a other name that comes in mind is Foxheart from Yellowfang secret, mostly because fox heart is technically an insult in the Warrior cats and find it strange that someone named Foxheart like that when is technically an insult too-

as much as I didn't like the broken code book that Eggs came from, I still enjoyed the conversation they had with Bacon and the warriors, Bristlefrost and Spotfur about the dog that they live with. It was pretty cool to see kittypets who grew up and are comfortable living with dogs, as it's not something common we see in the canon. (Not counting Cloudtail when he was a kittypet.) I guess it's because I own a cat that I've had since she was a kitten, Cynda, and Cynda grew up with a rottweiler and a chiweenie she and the dogs live in peace... at times, she likes to playfight with the chiweenie, Scrappy, as she and Scrappy are the same size.

Since I don't know how many human years passed, between 4 trees rock turning into a mass grave and it turning into a road. What did the people think to a much of cat bones (hopefully just bones because don't want to imagine if more) being under a large rock. Did they call the cops or some animal care agent about all the bones. That could have been an early sign of a future killer if they believed a human did it.

I think the Clans were confirmed to be 40 years old at the start of the series.

It's been too long for any recognizable cat bones to still be there. Buried in soil, bones take just two or three decades to decompose past all recognition unless they're in a very dry environment, which I'm pretty sure Warriors isn't (it's set in the UK). Some of these cats live for over a decade (Cloudtail is 11, I believe) and if even if we assume that the elders in Into the Wild are relatively young ones, that's still gotta be almost a decade since the beginning of Bluestar's Prophecy, which takes place when Pinestar is getting old. He was born after Mapleshade's Vengeance, which takes place after SkyClan was driven out. That's gotta be twenty years at least, there's been more than a couple more since the SkyClan exodus, if none of the same leaders are in power that appeared in Firestar's Quest prologue. And if we take Code of the Clans seriously, enough time passed between the founding of the Clans and SkyClan leaving for SkyClan to go through multiple leaders. They can't all have died young.

Maybe if the cats prepared the bodies like mummies or something but they didn't do that in The Blazing Star. So the chances of enough bone fragments being there to catch any human's attention are basically nil.

0:54 And he’s the only survivor of Leafstar’s entire litter. Also, imagine if Harrybrook told everyone about who he’s named after. I can see it going like this. At a gathering, He’s talking to some random clan cats, and one mentions how weird his name is. He mentions that he’s named after a kittypet that saved him, his siblings, and his mom from a twoleg den. He also mentions that the kittypet had another name, the other cats press him further, and he says “The cat said his other name was Sol or something”. At the mention of the name “Sol”, not only do the cats he’s talking too go quiet, but the whole gathering does too.

Tom is… a sad uncommon name for Warrior Cats and Twigbranch… “Wait, Twigbranch? That’s redundant, it’s basically the same thing twice!” Cool content by the way, keep it up. :D

I think the strangest names I have for OC’s is Shard and the 2 warriors named after her. She was a Siamese that was forced to be the mate of the leader of a group of rogues in Twolegplace. She had two kits when one of the 2 protagonists (Larchstar) met her- Flame and Patches. When Larchstar helps a bunch of them- including all the queens and kits- escape, they’re chased into a narrow tunnel. Shard tells Larchstar to take care of her kits and faces the rogue leader, knowing he was going to kill her. When she’s attacked, she makes sure that her body falls in a way that blocks the narrow path, meaning the rogues would have to remove her before continuing to chaise the group. With how many ways the patch forks, the group loses the rogues and Larchstar (and later his 2 mates) becomes a foster father to Shard’s kits. Among the group were a Persian named Princess and a former loner named Romeo, who become mates. They name their first kit Shardkit because they wouldn’t have Ben able to become warriors without her sacrifice. Shardkit then becomes Shardtalon. Shard’s orphaned kits becomes Flamekit and Patchkit. Patchkit believes her mother lives on in heart and doesn’t want a warrior name that honors her, so she’s named Patchcloud. Flamekit however was deeply effected by watching his mother die as he was raised to believe that, as a tom, it was his duty to be strong and protect everyone. His mentor (and later mate) Splashheart helps him learn that he shouldn’t think that way, but he asks Larchstar to name him Flameshard in his mother’s honor. Flameshard and Shardtalon odd names, but their Clanmates and most of the other accept them because they know how important Shard was to helping Larchstar and the former Twolegplace cats escape. Then there’s also Bruno, but he was a kittypet raised by a Spanish family. Bushpelt was a black tom with short, shaggy fur that looked like he was dragged out of a bush backwards and former loner Larchstar brought back to ThunderClan. He died protecting his daughter and only kit, Hollypaw. When she was made a warrior, she asked to be named Hollybush and when she and her mate where discussing what names they liked for future kits, she refused the name Bushkit, joking that her father would roll out of his grave and claw her for not letting his name rest with him. Shallowpool of RiverClan was named because was so small as a kit, the warriors joked he could swim in shallow water. Elmtail was named Elmkit because that was a tradition in his family, the first born kit being named after a tree. And his warrior name was in honor of his father Branchtail, who died when he was a little kit. Branchtail was born a loner named Branch because his tabby pelt looked like bark on a tree and he was sleek and slender like a tree branch. He joined WindClan to be close to his new friend Breezepaw and when they became warriors, he asked for a simple name because he’s a simple cat, so he was named Branchtail for his longer, slender tail. And also Fenfur, a very pretty, fluffy, brown she-cat from ShadowClan. She’s kind and intelligent and becomes the mate of that arc’s ShadowClan protagonist’s sister, Sedgebush, a fluffy, white she-cat. They become ShadowClan’s resident wholesome, floofy girlfriends/wives. Those are all my unusual/weird OC names off the top of my head.

The fact that Zelda, Pickle, and Egg are actual names in the series sends me 😂 There was a time that I pointed out that Twigbranch is redundant but Sunstar also is, but got flack for it because “cats don’t know they’re the same” while not questioning the fact that Tigers and Lions are probably not a thing in England (unless they saw them in Zoos in a distant past, which would be maybe an interesting AU), which is where it takes place, last time I’ve heard. Unrelated, but has anyone compared your voice to Hawks from MHA and joked about the channel being voiced by the character?

Cat's aren't stupid, they probably do know they're the same! Naming a cat sunstar or twigbranch is like naming a cat windbreeze or cloudsmoke or even kittycat haha, the names are a little silly. It'd be like calling a cat tigertiger y'know? Or it looks like they picked a first word, then looked up synonyms of it for the second as they had no idea what'd sound good as a second different word!

Harry brook was named after Harry from the first book (into the wild) in the start of the book, the author mentions him as a real cat, here, i dont remember what was exactly written, but it was like; "for Harry, who left his two legs nest to become a warrior" , So Harry brook was named after a real cat!

Okay in terms of having ocs with strange warrior names, the ones that I could think of that I have are two ocs named: Breamcampion and Fleeterror The reason why I think why these names are some strange for me is because for Breamcampion is because both the words “Bream” and “Campion” are words that I rarely ever hear in the Warriors community, especially Bream, and for those who don’t know what a bream and/or campion is, a bream is some type of fish while campion is some type of flower, and Fleeterror case is because well is somewhat obvious is the terror part of his name, it never has been used for a name in the books nor I seen someone using it to name their oc (from what aware maybe someone does have a oc that has terror in their name) and it kinda leaves the question of “Why is this cat names like this”. But yea those the two ocs I could think have a strange name but I still love these two fellas

My personal favorite weird warrior cat names are Kinkfur and Whitewater I discovered the names and started laughing and joking about them But eventually I grew a genuine attachment and started making headcannons,, and even shipping them, despite them having little to no lines or mentions Sooooo

So, we know “sol” as he was mentioned in the first part of this video, it’s not actually pronounced like the way @Hawkkz said it, which I’m not blaming him, it’s hard to get right, it comes from the name “sollivan” a common Jewish name, so basically, his name is pronounced “sawl”

Now that I’ve found out about the robin wing scenario I head cannon that each robin wing is a reincarnation, perhaps of a special StarClan cat that descends every so often to check on the clans and help. Also, to add to this head cannon this StarClan cat is bigender, seeing as RobinWings is shared between Tom’s and She-Cats.
