"Ululation, from Latin ululo, is a long, wavering, high-pitched vocal sound resembling a howl with a trilling quality. It is produced by emitting a high pitched loud voice accompanied with a rapid back and forth movement of the tongue and the uvula." Think Xena.

For the garlicle charecter I would suggest the name Alice Lynn - Allicin is a chemical compound found in garlic and is released when the garlic is crushed (alninase->alliin->allicin) it creates the aroma of garlic as well as acts as a defense mechanism against attacks from pests. It is also good for you and important to garlic related fermented products

Oh! The 'snake with a hundred mage hands' gives me an idea for an awesome magic item! The Bracelet of One Hundred Hands. Designed to look like the snake and allows you to use the snake's Flying Fists ability a certain number of charges per day, and regains it's charges daily at dawn. Maybe have it give advantage on slight of hand checks so long as one charge remains.

Ululation is a howling or wailing sound. In many cultures, the sound of ululation is common at a funeral, while in others the mourners only sniffle quietly. Ululation is often mournful and it's always full of emotion. It's a common cultural reaction to a death, as well as a highly expressive way of grieving. - From Vocabulary.com

omg dude the giant honey bees and garlicle would be awesome to have in the same encounter seeing as honey bees really love allium plants those being onion, garlic, scallion, shallot, leek, and chives and lots more but imagine the garlicle living in symbiosis with the bees doing the bee dance and living in a hive/garden hybrid and have a head of the council that is the queen bees counterpart be called grandmother or grand matriarch Lily Siculum the name comes from Allium siculum, known as honey garlic, Sicilian honey lily, Sicilian honey garlic, or Mediterranean bells it would be cool if you had to help the people defend against a Derendian Moth Abomination seeing as some moth species use Allium as a food source

Ululation is the correct word. It's like a haunting cry or wail. The first time I encountered the word was in Final Fantasy XI as one of the tracks is something like Ululations From Beyond and I think the Lamiae in the game use a move called Ululation. Think of an Ululation as the stereotypical OooooooooOOOoooooOooooo people make when they pretend to be ghosts.
