I went from not caring about Theon’s existence, thinking he was a prick, hating him, feeling sorry for him, rooting for him, liking him and finally feeling sad about his death. Only character arc they didn’t ruin. You’re a good man Theon, it’s been a rocky affair.

Mine too. He had the biggest heart and the best redemption arc in the whole series. So should’ve been rated higher! Number one for me! 🖤🖤🖤 with Arya a close second!

honestly....... bronn and olenna both made the list and they literally have almost nothing in the way of character arc. both characters are entertaining, but I didn't watch game of thrones for sassy old women and sassy scoundrels. theon's arc in both the novels and the show was a masterstroke. EDIT: OKAY WHAT THE FUCK ... _Euron_ was an honourable mention!? God they did Theon SO dirty, when a pirate frat boy is apparently better than him smh.

Theon is better, one of the more complex characters on the show, understandble motives for betraying rob and got way more punishment then he deserved and in the end saving sansa and his honor

@Joan of Arc it's really easy to look at it from your shoes and not his, one of the most important things in GOT is te families, the importance of your house, and theon was torn apart between the loyalty to his family and the starks, keep in mind that he was reminded that the starks are not his family by robb, he had a terrible father he was desperate to please, just like jaimie, sure he made some bad choices, but nothing compared to other characters, and he was punished and suffered the most in the show, (even more than sansa although she suffered a lot too), the physical and mental torture that ramsey put him through left him broken forever, he saved sansa and his sister, and was ready to die for his real family, the starks, and he did, to me theon payed for his mistakes and even redeemed himself, all of his journey and his grouth, being the underdog from the start and the actor who was the best one of the show, all those things are the reasons why i love theon and i think he is a great character

Even though a lot of the more minor charachters like Olenna can be executed in the story much better than charachter in a higher role, like for example Stannis Baratheon

Ramsey was a bastard who spent his entire life proving himself worthy of his fathers name to rid himself of his bastard one. Then after getting it saw his place within that house weaken as a result of his nephew being born and decided to kill him..... depth. Euron wanted to fuck the queen............... have I missed something? Where's the depth here.

I was so sad when The Hound died, as he was one of my favorites. But I loved that he went out fearless, and the fact that he also pushed his brother down with him. His final scream gave me goosebumps and tears in my eyes. Easily my favorite moment from arguably the worst GOT season

@@jeremyrdlamaxima7052 It's because he became dumb and boring post season 4. Before in seasons 1-4 he had been an interesting and smart character that had interesting relationships with his family. His relationship with Tywin is the best relationship in the show. He also had his witty humour and great lines. He was great because he was this witty drunk that loved the game and had great relationships and interactions. His character post season 4 becomes a dumbed down version of his previous self. He becomes very stupid and boring since he didn't have his interesting relationships for the most part of seasons 5-8. He does eventually meet again with his family members like Cersei and Jamie in season 7 but they weren't as good as they were in seasons 1-4. They certainly weren't Tywin and Tyrion relationship levels. In the books he is still an interesting character and has a sort of character development stage but I won't spoil them for you in case you wish to read them. They also messed up his killing of Tywin which is one of the most pivotal parts of his story. They did this by changing the reason. They made it because he called Shae a whore when in the books it's because of Tysha (his previous wife).

Sansa had the best character development on the show. She's not the exact definition of badass for most people because apparently she didn't use her “FiSts” but instead she uses her brain in politics to defeat people. That's why she was my FAVORITE character!

Growing stronger doesn't mean transforming into an emotionless unsympathetic ungrateful person. The only thing she ever did in the last season was not trusting Dany and questioning her worth. Also, she never accomplished anything herself in the show, she always needed someone else to accomplish something, like Littlefinger, Arya or Jon. She ain't a "politician using her brain to defeat people", they only wanted her to look that way and they pretended like if she was, but she actually never did.

att timmm Daenerys was one of the writers’ most epic failures. They spent so much time glorifying her that they didn’t have the opportunity to set up her fall into madness, so they just threw it in at the last minute. The only character who was written more incompetently was Stannis.

My favorite characters are Sandor "The Hound" Clegaine, Sir Bronn of the Blackwater, Lady Olenna Tyrell, and Tyrion Lannister all for their wit and humorous comebacks. They all had the ability to shut someone up with their quick witted debating skills. I love that. The Hound and Bronn did it with humorous profanity while Tyrion and Olenna did it eloquently and intelligently.

@@lucasfernandez5987 yep. this last season's writing was so half-assed and so many loose ends that i don't really like to think about it but even so, her reasons for doing so were better than Cersei's so i dont understand why we are supposed to act like she's worse. she lost everything and went a little crazy thinking she was working towards the greater good and wasnt going to fall back and let the people who always fucked her over keep fucking her over just because they were using innocent people as shields so that they could infiltrate without opposition. wouldn't you? at least thats my opinion. not here to argue over GoT in youtube comments tho lol sadly the show is over and all of the characters were great (except sansa, sorry lol) but her character and character development was a masterpiece even if it all went to shit and she ended up fucking up.

No matter what anyone says I think my favourite character has to be Jaime fookin' Lannister. He had the best arc in the show and beat out the likes of not only Ramsay Bolton, Tormund Giantsbane and Bronn but other characters with great arcs like the Hound, Sansa and Theon.

Tyrion, Daenerys, Arya, Jon Snow... the fifth spot is the only spot that is up for grabs... I think Sansa was an over reach, I might have preferred Jaime or the Hound myself, but there are a host of others that could have made that spot, I don't think there is a lock for Tywin maybe top 10...top five when there is only one spot up for grabs, means he's not an unquestionable.

Little Finger top 10? For me he is one of the best character in GoT. With just a poison and a letter, he manage to kill multiple kings and hundreds of thousands of people. Of all the characters in the show, he gave the most number of shocking moments like betraying Ned, revealing he helped killing Geoffrey, starting the war, etc.

Jaime never doubted what family he belonged to, he was never really truly conflicted about loving Cersei. Theon's story, I think, was the most heart-breaking and redemptive, AND in hindsight, justified (as in, you're brought up by this other family and you love them, but then you go back home and your family that's supposed to love you no matter what calls you a p*ssy and makes you feel worthless unless you man up and betray your adoptive family, so you do it because you're desperate to feel accepted by your "true" family, then you're captured and tortured horribly until you don't even know your own name, and then you save your adoptive sister and defend your adoptive brother and die trying to protect them. I mean... come on, I used to HAAAAAAATE Theon, but after the show was over, I reflected that I think he might have been one of my favorite characters.)

Petyr Baelish was the reason the war of the 5 kings started, one of the smartest players in the game, including Olenna. Varys warned her Petyr was a dangerous man and told her to stay away from him, and she took that information and partnered with Littlefinger. Their ranking though...Might not be correct.

He lasted less than a season, but still had a greater impact than many of the other characters. I get a tad miffed when lists rank "The Red Wedding" as the most important death(s) in the series, when that would not have happened had Ned not died. Ned's death was the most pivotal moment in the series, and he was one of the most memorable characters.

The mountain should either be low on this list or an honorable mention. Oberyn was an honorable mention for the same reason Ned was #20 (he should've been higher) in that they were only on our screens for one season. There's no excuse for the Hound being number 18 though

The list, like nearly everything else on KZfaq, is one person's opinion. I think Cersei was the best villain on the show, but I am glad Sansa was #5. If the list was based on popularity, she would not have been that high. Sansa was certainly not universally loved, but her arc (in my opinion) was the best on the show. Compared to all the other characters, her start was the furthest from her finish, while still being believable.
