I've only seen digimon adventure and 02. It was long time ago but I can't remember them explaining what the dark ocean was exactly. Was it third dimension? Why are digimons there? What is that huge octopus thing(I believe it was called Dragomon)?

I was so surprised that this scene didn’t make the list, though. I am happy that they didn’t because I wouldn’t handle to see one more picture of that thing (chimera), it’s so disturbing I can’t even feel sad. I’m sorry, but I really got scared by Nina.

Berserk- Nothing was scarier then The Eclipse, it really is a wonder Casca & Guts made it out of that nightmare alive.

In claymore there's a sequence where Riful is tormenting 4 claymores to awaken and give in to their yoma side. It's graphic as hell. One dies, one escapes to try and get help, stumbling into a town in a condition you wouldn't believe. The one that did give in was deemed too weak and killed off anyway. The last of the group was saved by the main character with some help.

The scene in One Piece after Sugar turns Cavendish into a toy and you see all of the other forgottens in voices screaming out while they are being forced to work against their will made em feel sick to my stomach when I first watched it

@@Empire156He was the blonde, sorta Pewdiepie-looking dude who iirc was hailed as the humanity's second strongest soldier after Levi? He basically gets a bunch of rando Titans sicked on him on S2 after an encounter with the Beast Titan (aka the tall ape-like mofo), and since he has neither his horse or gear anymore they proceed to quite literally tear him apart. And they were not in a hurry Granted, you don't get to *see it* happen in all of it's glory (just enough to get the idea). So there's probably more brutal stuff that comes later... But it's not much of a comfort, because instead they make you listen as he screams and cries in agony, all the way till the end. And let me tell ya. I don't get shook easily, but that shit still haunts me to this day

Jeri's Tragic Past from Digimon Tamers was way more Tramatic than what Kari endured. Not to mention The D-Reaper who fed off it.

True and if they really wanted to go with a Kari trauma moment they should have went with what happened to her in the fifth and semifinal film the Digimon Adventure Tri saga Digimon Adventure Tri: Coexistence aka Kari after already suffering through mental trauma via getting possessed by the Homostasis in the previous film, endures more mental trauma when Tai, and Augmon seemingly die during a battle against Regulusmon causing Kari to completely snap and become so vengeful and psychotic that she gets overtaken completely by the Dark Digital Code and in a fit of psychotic vengeful rage Dark Triple Warp Digivolves Nayromon into the dark-vengeful counterpart to Ophanimon the correctly named Ophanimon: Falldown Mode who then during the fight with Regulusmon Dark DNA Digivolves with Regulusmon into Ordinamon who proceeds to create a portal of darkness that seemingly begins to destroy the real and digital worlds.

Most of these are okay but I think a worthy contender for top 2 would be Betterman (1999). That show was Nightmare Fuel: The Series and the whole thing was just so bleak. Really underappreciated anime. Also, it was hilarious when so many people wanted to drop Overlord after that scene because they thought it made Ainz look evil. I mean, he's been a villain from the start and they never hid it. 😂

Episode 1 was one hell of an introduction to Goblin Slayer. But I gotta give the biggest nightmare fuel to Berserk. Where Griffin betrays the Black Hawks, and everything else that happened.

I don’t know if it is on the list but in Elfen Lied when the main character’s sister is cut in half in front of him still haunts me. In Corpse Party when the girl in the red dress kills those kids in that flashback…. That was probably the most disturbed I have been watching a TV show.

Oh no, He certainly did suffer quite longer than you'd expect since those rabbits have an uncanny ability to save the parts that won't kill you immediately until later into the meal. Which meant Subaru was entirely conscious as those rabbits ate into his body and squirmed around munching in his organs. No wonder he broke after he Returned by Death.

Any news when the anime industry is going to do a remake of Legend of Basara or do a third season for Saiunkoku Monogatari? How about adapting Ikemen Sengoku into a non-chibi romance series and do an anime adaptation of Red River aka Anatolia Story? The anime industry needs to bring back some classics!

Let’s be honest Berserk was the top one, because this is one scene where the whole cliché of main character gets out Scott free no harm no nothing everybody’s OK get shattered by a nuclear missile. Nobody got out alive and those that they got out a horribly scarred beyond reality, that is why every berserk fan can hardly stomach re-watching, or re-reading the eclipse
