His kids were big fans of Street Fighter 2 and it was also an opportunity to take his family on a trip to Australia. Despite the campy script, he put on one of the greatest performances in cinema history and he did it for his kids. Truly a man of legendary proportions.

The funny part is if they made Bison appear taller (like 7' or so with some simple special effects), he would have looked much more intimidating. After all, he's supposed to be one of the tallest characters in the Street Fighter Franchise.

Well, they've done their best to make Raul larger in order to comply with the Character's description as M.Bison. Nevertheless, Raul indeed is an amazing actor, not just classically artistic but also heartfully authentic in all his crafts.

MK Annihilation is on its own level of awful shit. I saw it in theaters when I was 16, I hated it then, still hate it now.

It speaks volumes for the movie itself too. Like it feels like he is basically saying “Oh wait this is the movie we were going to end up in? Oh hell nah to that! Hahaha, SUCKERRRRS!!” Never seen again.

I like most of these movies. I’m not expecting “Citizen Kane”. It’s supposed to be a little weird. But... I mostly Netflix these at like 3am while pretty well drunk. Damn you Raul Julia you can do no wrong

I feel like the biggest issue with so many video game movies is the lack of understanding of the source material. If you're trying to adapt something to film you need someone behind the camera and in the director's seat who understands the game itself and can find a way to not only tell the narrative of the source material but find a way to translate the feeling of the gameplay into a satisfying visual set piece. Choreography, props, world design, etc. It's probably why I'm genuinely excited to see how the new Mortal Kombat movie turns out

The Problem with Warcraft was, that the Fans expected to much from it. I mean, the Title actually says: Beginning. So, they planned it to be the first of a Series of Films about Wow. This means the developing of the Character's and the Story would have come in the next Films. At least that's what I think. I thought it was a pretty good Movie.

nahh the issue is that they took too much from the start. I think it would have been better to make the first film entirely about the orcs on Draenor to make people actually care about the horde, then a second film about the humans on Azeroth which would portray the inner conflicts before the alliance came to be, then the first war as a third act would have been much better recived by critics and fans alike and leave the door open for the start of a true cinematic universe.

And yet, Annihilation had a higher budget than the original MK did. But the lack of budget stood out like a sore thumb for this awful sequel.

"Making a feature film out of a racing game is essentially about as practical as making one out of a classic board game." Just saying, Clue is a beautiful film. Also, about Sean Bean: I believe that GoldenEye is one of the better 007 films, not only because it's a great film, but because audiences saw Sean Bean die twice (shot in the beginning after "getting caught", and falling off of GoldenEye's satellite, then being crushed by the satellite's falling debris.

Clue was probably among the best because it was based on a mystery game, allowing room for an intriguing mystery. And yeah, there was murder in it but also some really fun comedy. They already got it right when they involved Tim Curry. And even multiple endings befitting the open ended nature of board games. Not only is it a great movie, but even plays a bit with elements of its source material

They're wrong about the first movie, though. It wasn't perfect, but it was one of the better video game movie adaptations and was pretty well received by fans of the games. Revelation was pretty bad...but I hate that they tried to claim the first one was, too.

I can't even say Mortal Kombat Annihilation is a guilty pleasure. None of my favorite characters do anything in it. It's just a bunch of action figures getting smashed together with terrible dialogue, all with the same quality as "Too bad, you will die."

The movies have to be released Theatrically in order to be on the list and DOOM Annihilation was released straight to DVD and was also released on Netflix.

I remember watching MK Annihilation as a kid and even back then the acting and CGI was so noticeably bad even compared to the original MK film. I'd go from Jurassic Park/T2 to that film and felt like I was going from a delicious nutritious meal to the cheapest fast food around.

I really like the film. Yeah at the same time it's disappointing but I really liked the goofiness in it. Plus I thought Yoshi looked pretty good in the movie. Definitely a guilty pleasure.

Warcraft, I've played for a while... The Movie wasn't accurate lore wise(like Lothar killing black hand etc) but it wasn't bad either.. I really enjoyed the movie as well

the 3rd Mortal Kombat film ended up the TV series Mortal Kombat Conquest, had they made that a film, it would of done well at the box office. Many fans prefer Conquest over Annihilation. Next month we have the 3rd Mortal Kombat film. Also, how many times are you going to do this list?

What I really hated about Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, is that it wasnt really FOR anybody. People who dislike the films would still dislike this one, people who like the games will dislike this one, and the people who watched the series and enjoyed them as guilty pleasure movies got shafted as well, because they ret-conned most of the story from the previous movies.

Thank god for Advent Children. If it wouldn’t be The Spirits Within being the near killer of Square, everyone and Sakaguchi would have deep regrets and a direct to video sequel to the legendary Final Fantasy VII was dangerous but successful.

Exactly! AC is a great movie and is in itself another installment in the story. Just like Bayek in Origins, Alexios or Kassandra in Odyssey and Eivor in Valhalla. People just wanted Altaïr or Ezio and were disappointed, so they bashed it.

Unpopular opinion in 3...2...1! I personally like the 1994 "Street Fighter" and even the 1993 "Super Mario Bros." I never really played any of the games they were based on, so that allowed me to judge them as their own films rather than adaptations of their respective source materials. I've discovered that if you walk into them (or ANY video game-based film for that matter) with THAT frame of mind, they're actually not really 'terrible' films to watch...or they might still be. It all depends on who's watching.

Originally, his character wasn’t even supposed to be in the first Silent Hill. The studio make Christophe Gans add a male main character so Gans added Bean and Kim Coates as Officer Gucci. Bean doesn’t take part in any of the horror that occurs, so it makes since that he lived.

Thanks for the list. I'd watch these: prince of persia, need for speed, tomb raider, and assassin's creed. street fighter the movie and double dragon are really bad, but are guilty pleasures for me. And basically, I stayed away from Uwe Boll movies after Alone in the Dark and Bloodrayne. Max Payne trailer threw me off with all the "demonic" scenes.

The only thing the Doom movie had in common with the original games were the fact that there was a "BFG", a first person shooter view, and just the name "Pinky" which turned out to be the name of a scientist and not a monster. The rest is basically its own movie.

MK Annihilation at least kept Liu as the main protagonist, and story arched MK 2&3....It failed in doing so but at least it completed the MK Trilogy...with the original actors of Liu and Kitana present...

To be fair, "The Sands of Time" was T. It didn't get M-rated until the sequel, "Warrior Within." I don't think "Warrior Within" or "Two Thrones" had any influence on the movie outside of a chain whip, if I remember right.

(2020) Sonic the Hedgehog, and the reboot movie Tomb Raider are well made movies with good stories, and faithful to the source material. It’s not hard for Hollywood to make good quality movies based on video games.

I agree with the majority of the films on the list, but there were a few I actually enjoyed: 1. Prince of Persia - despite being a fan of the game series, I found the film fun to watch. 2. Silent Hill - for me it wasn't complicated and I liked it as a horror movie. 1st part was better than 2nd though. 3. Double Dragon - I loved it a a child, and as an adult I still do. Sentimental values. 4. Max Payne - I did enjoy the film in general.

game movies need not suck! Hitman is stealth , & so is Assassin's Creed, so its a 007 spy vs spy movie narrative. good guys vs the bad guys. Tomb Raider is a female Indiana Jones, the key is not to over Mary Sue it. as Superman has kryptonite to give balance to the story. so with Mortal Kombat, or Double Dragon. its good guy Rocky Balboa meets Cyberpunk bad guys. in the most exotic locations. amazing cosplay, three-dimensional foley sound, with lots of bullet time & complex fighting moves is how you make fighting movies interesting. movie must compensate for the lose of game interactivity. a movie is a passive one or two hr video game cutscen, so make it interesting. IMO.
