Okay, just see your best friend die. Like, you could go the psychopath route and kill them yourself, or just see then die in a tragic accident just like Shisui did to give Itachi his set. Have we mentioned that going through highly emotional moments and losing loved ones is really common in the ninja world? Whoops. By the way, was that person you loved Uchiha kin? Or have an Uchiha kin your willing to steal eyes from or convince them to give you those eyes? Welp, grab their eyes and you instantly get the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. Whoops. You either get the Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu set, the Kamui set, or you get the power that brainwashes people for the rest of their lives. Train enough with them, and hope both of those eyes is a set(Obito wasn't lucky in that regard), and you unlock a Susano'o which basically makes you a bijuu without legs. These abilities will slowly mess with your vision and give you cancer or some shit, but if just add a tiny bit of Senju cells or get the eternal sharingan, all of those side effects will go away and you can spam those abilities like crazy. Also, if you've got a storehouse full of uchiha eyes, you can use one each to either undo your own death, or force someone to be a better person or some shit. Add some Hashirama wood to your Uchiha body, and you start getting the yin-yang release. Get the eternal Sharingan, and you get the full body Susano'o that's like 100 feet tall. If your lucky, the hashirama wood will turn one or both of the Sharingan into the SharRinnigan, which has all the abilities of the Sharingan, and you can start using the 7 super powered Path abilities. You'd think getting hashirama wood would be hard but apparently tons of scientists have replicated it, so your in luck. If you've already got the eternal mangekyo Sharingan, getting a sample isn't going to be too hard. So yeah, the Sharignan is completely hacks. That's just the stuff you can get without even hunting down the bijuu's and turning yourself into a god. Even the stuff without Senju cells it completely broken. Yeah a lot of these secrets about the Sharingan were lost to time but....if they weren't, it would be pure chaos.

I mean, even in Part 1. Itachi got introduced and used Tsukuyomi that was so powerful that it one-shot Kakashi and left him in a coma for several weeks. Back then, people were probably thinking Sasuke had the possibility of learning Tsukuyomi too. So even in Part 1, the Sharingan was set up to be way more powerful.

While that may be true for normal Mangekyo Sharingan users like Sasuke, Itachi, Shisui, etc., it's shown repeatedly that by having Hashirama Cells, the blindness is extended to a much greater time limit. Let me explain. When Danzo obtained Hashirama Cells, and used Kotoamatsukami (Shisui's Mangekyo ability), he was able to use it every day despite its 10 YEAR COST. This is further supported when you look at all of Obito's feats. It's a widely known fact that Obito is able to spam endlessly Kamui, and it's shown to us that he's been using it (for the very least) since he's been 15. Half of his entire body is comprised of only Hashirama Cells. The only exception to this rule is Kakashi, but we can just sum that up to a major plot hole (taking place in the War arc, it seems Kakashi never goes blind, despite spamming Kamui, and knowing just how many plot holes are in the War arc, it wouldn't surprise me if this was one as well, it is also the only example where this situation does not make sense). So I believe it wouldn't be too outlandish to say that by having Hashirama Cells, the cost of using the Mangekyo Sharingan and the blindness associated with it, is basically depleted or for the very least: incredibly low.
