Not been to the first one but done the others. Salisbury was our very first trip on the day we bought Humberto. We lived near Devizes, Salisbury and Winchester (Hampshire not Wilts) so we had some great weekends after a Friday finish at work.

We plan our weekends the same, Humberto. We try to head to nearby places straight after work on Friday. Get an hour of driving in before we start the weekend.

Lovely video, I can see the appeal of Devizes and a walk along the canal past all those locks. That's on the list for a summer visit.

Wiltshire seems to be quite the destination. It’s not too far from us either. One day well make use of the big white thing in the driveway, forget what it’s called ;). Pete & Kaz 😀👍😀👍

I stayed at Devizes for a few days last year in my van. Really enjoyed it. It was great to be so close to the canal. Your footage brought back a few memories. Thank you

The Cotswolds are beautiful, HitchUpAndTow. When you go I'd suggest Bourton on Water, Burford and then Moreton in Marsh. And not forgetting Stow on the Wold and Bideford.

We have some town campsites lined up for this year; Broadway, Cirencester, Totnes, York Rowntree Park and Leyburn. All new to us, just hope we can go! Ones we have been to that are on the edges of towns, and we would recommend are Ayr Holiday Park at St Ives, and CCC Keswick. Both busy though. Ludlow Touring Park also very nice. Edited to add: CMC Melrose. Great Italian restaurant in the town 👍. Ashspring looks good. We’ve put it on the list.

Great choice of sites Ads & Zoe, Devises is a place we want to visit, Morton on Marsh is a large & busy site that's where I got told off by warden because I had canopy out to give it an airing, I was a blue pitch he said it's against the rules it's a non awning pitch I did say it's not an awning it's a canopy he replied you should have booked a awning pitch if you want to put it out so to keep the piece I wound it back in ever since then I have always booked an awning pitch.

Hi guys. We love the Cotswolds, and only an hour or so drive away from home for us. But,,,, a brewery ? and pubs ? You have sold Devizes very well !! We have never been to that area. Thanks for the info xx

We've booked 5 nights at moreton in marsh as recommended by alex at ttxela. We were booked for last year from staying at Bridport, but the week we stayed in Bridport was the 80mph winds. We ended up going to do a stopover in tewkesbury on the way back to yorkshire instead. Really looking forward hope there is enough to do for 5 nights?

There's plenty to do in the Cotswolds - Bourton on the Water and Burford are a must. Then there is Stow on the Wold. Hope we get out soon, Antony

HI , i know its going back a year (Jan 2020) but am i right in thinking you replaced Q14 springs with Q18 (1800kg) ones , the reason im asking is my Ducato just passed its MOT , but advisories on the front struts , so if i replace the struts can i put 1800kg springs in to make it sit higher and be more stable ? thanks

Hi Mark, I ordered the springs from Coastal Motorhomes and they advised me on "2 x Fiat Ducato Peugeot Boxer Citroen Relay Coil Spring Q18 1318989080" based on what I had told them. I'd noticed that our Hymer was always lower on the front and we had to to use chocks on a level campsite to lift the front up so we were level on the inside. I believe it's common for Hymers to do this. I don't know what springs we had on there already though. If you call up Coastal Motorhomes and discuss what you want to do then they can advise you. Nice. Don’t think I’ve been to any of these. The Oxford C&CC site is good if you take the bus into the city. The Morris Leisure site at Shrewsbury also good for bus users. Warwick CAMH site is almost in the town., lovely old town. There’s one in Ross on Wye ( I think it’s called Broadmeadow) that’s five minutes walk from the town centre - ‘the birthplace of tourism.’ Someone else mentioned Ludlow which is a decent walk into the town or there is a bus stop outside the site ( I think it’s also a Morris Leisure site).

Burton on the water has a cafe with a huge collection of Lilliput ornaments, for the collectors. These are excellent places to visit especially as we like the historical buildings and grounds. We also prefer grass pitches as the wifes wheelchairs sink into the so called hard standing pitches.
