Great tips. Especially love that crystal flash fly. I can see that also as a base to add behind a tiny spinner with a few beads and other creative possibilities. Thanks as always.

Thank you for the great info. I personally haven’t tried small spoons. Going to add to my arsenal. I have really enjoyed the Kokabow hoochie spinners and plain spinners. They were at a sportsman show here in Yakima a few years back and a representative shared the product. Always one I try first! Have had great success at Chelan with them. Thanks again!!

Love your work great perspective and explanation of your choices, I wasn't familiar with the "Cut plug" so I followed that link, those little painted piece of plastic are over $7.00 a piece. Ouch! now I know why I wasn't familiar with them. Still I'm glad you shared them with us nice to see more choices out there.

Great video - I have always thought of the wedding ring spinner blades as being too small - so I have been replacing my blades with the 3.5 Colorado blades and having good success. I will try going with a smaller blade as you suggest.

My new fishing buddy is a HUGE fan of the Wiggle Fins. Problem is, at Riffe Lake they hit everything, so we couldn't tell what was best. Actually they did not like a from Hot Shot or a 3.5 shallow Rapala. Water was 43 degrees. When it hits 50, it'll be even better.

Would you happen to know a man by the name of Jason stone? I figured I ask because sometimes this world is smaller than it seems. He is the other person who taught me things about fishing besides you. I ain't seen Jason in years but watching this video on how and why certain rigs are tied reminded me of him. Have you fished God's tooth spoons? That has always been my top producer. The 50/50 blue and gold are the best colors. I undo the hooks and put your double hook rig with a few beads and also flip it so it probably spins more than wobbles.

Hey Spilt- quick question- when you use the crappie hoochies, do you add any weight to them, like a 1/16th or1/32nd oz jig head? I'm new to the West coast, and ya'll do things just a little different than I did back in North Carolina. I'm loving your vids, and you've been a big help!

Do you put blades on your hoochie rigs? If so, do you like the small blades that you showed on your spinners, or do you use smile blades? If no blades with hoochies, why? Thanks
@spiltmilt
@spiltmilt 4 жыл бұрын
I prefer small blades over smiles but in general I prefer to run plain hoochies because they create less drag and that allows the dodger to thump them side to side more.

15-24” behind your dodger and pop gear is way to far. You will not get any action of the pop gear and dodger. Hoochies are not the only good or best Kokanee lure out there!

That distance I am recommending is only for Brad's Kokanee Cut Plugs. In the video I talk about running hoochies and spinners 6-12" behind dodgers.
