In today's video we'll rank and talk about the Top 5 Switch TRPGs of this year. Many of my choices may seem odd to some, but I really wanted to go with the games that stood out the most to me rather than just going off of the larger consensus in the reviewer and gamer community. My 5 picks feature a range of TRPGs all with very different feels and game design within the genre, so sit back, watch, and then let me know your top picks!

agreed with most of the list. TOR would be #1 for me but i havent played gloomhaven outside the board game. I'd include front mission 1st remake as i thoroughly enjoyed that game. I'd probably replace war tales as it's the one that doesnt feel like a trpg to me. i eventually plan to purchase gloomhaven on the switch later in a couple of weeks so hopefully all bugs are fixed by then. redemption reapers is good too. persona 5 tactica isnt my speed so i bet i'd replace that too in my top 5. most likely with fire emblem engage from an interest level standpoint. or triangle strategy since i played that game in 2023.

Nice! I couldn't really get into Front Mission 1st, but I think that was mostly to the fact that all my time around then was spent on TOR lol. Totally agree on adding Triangle Strategy if it had been this year for me. Good choices.

Пробовал играть в "Gloomhaven", не понравился он мне. Мало классов, боевка непонятная, вроде рогалик, а вроде и нет. Явно не моя игра.

@@andrewkachan4209 yes, Gloomhaven isn't for everyone, that is true. Especially if you have never played the board game version. What tactics rpgs did you enjoy from this year?

Я не уверен, что они вышли в 2023 году, но я сейчас играю параллельно в несколько "Banner of the Maid" прикольная китайская игра, если выполнять задания со звездочкой, то может бросить вызов в некоторых заданиях, Together in Battle она в раннем доступе и думаю еще года два там будет, но по сути в нее можно играть как в арену, своеобразная. Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga играл в этом году, у нее было недавно графическое обновление, Dark Deity играл, но крашнулся сейв и я заново не начинал, боевка мне показалась легкой, персонажи не моего формата, но вроде скоро выходит вторая часть. И еще игра в какую-то название не помню, там рисовка очень приятная, похожа по боевке на Dark Deity, но я нее не долго играл, там была миссия в которой надо было убивать гражданских в деревне, я таким даже в игре не буду заниматься. @@89Games

@@andrewkachan4209 I've heard of all of these and actually played and made a few videos on Together in Battle. Banner of the Maid and Symphony of War have both caught my eye before, but I haven't got around to playing them yet. Out of those two, which would you recommend higher?

Wartales reminded me a bit of Battle Brothers that I’ve only played a bit. Obviously was released awhile ago, but would be curious to hear your thoughts on it.

I took a look at battle brothers a while back while looking for new tactical games to play. It does interesting to me, but I haven't played it. I might one day if I get some time to tackle my backlog lol

Wartales на мой взгляд недоделанная, там запросто можно встретить лучника который ходит раньше тебя, дальше тебя и еще и стреляет после движения. Арены огромные, он может ходов 7-8 ходов до края и за два выстрела убивает обычно, не баг а фича. 🤣
