I have way less money than I used to, but my life is happy and peaceful now.

Happy Independence Day!!! I foolishly accepted a hoover months ago. He lied (no surprise) that he was broken up with the new supply he left me for. I almost bought into his future faking promises of forever. But I was educating myself with your videos and others and told him I wanted to take things slow. (Boundaries) He told me I was not the same person he knew before, and BAM, I caught him redhanded with the old/new supply. At first he told me it wasn't what it seemed and he could explain. Silence for 3 days and he finally sent me a breakup text. This round didn't hurt nearly as much as 9 mos ago. He is now fully blocked and deleted. NEVER ACCEPT A HOOVER!!!

When I was a child, my father told me when he go out of the US Navy his rank was E-6. 30 years later he's telling everyone he got out of the US Navy as an E-7 just so he can say he was a 'Chief.' The last time I took my father out to dinner for his birthday he gave me back the present I gave him because he said he didn't like Starbucks(It was a Starbucks gift card; I told him he could use it for more than coffee). Basically, he insulted me in every way(saying my military experience, education, and job are all stupid) imaginable and shoved my presents back in my face telling me they weren't good enough. When I bought a used car, my father got upset at me for having freedom(He was driving a brand new car and had no reason to be envious of me). I've been no contact with him for 7 years.

You are no longer a compliant whipping post. Anyone coming through emotional and mental mutilation needs a lot of time to heal. Accepting the truth, that someone you loved has a pattern of poisonous behavior, is only the beginning of the healing work. Give yourself time to mourn. Don't let others guilt you that your healing isn't fast enough. Don't abandon your own need for time to sort things out, don't rush yourself. Journal and surround yourself with as much healthy support as you can. It takes time to replace those negative internal messages with healthy self-talk. Consider yourself to be your own caring, patient, honest, encouraging best friend. 🌹❤

I got a great gift today. I remembered something from my past about a friend of mine and dind, ding, ding! 🚩 another narcissit that i had missed the red flags and suddenly it became crystal clear. I have known her for ten years and now i have the confirmation that this person never respected me and whenever we would go out to a restaurant i would always end up going where she wanted. My malignant ex- narc ‘s choice of chaos and confusion was to threaten to be rude , start a fight or say unkind things to my clients, restaurant staff, my grown children , my pastor , the neighbors- anybody we interacted with just to keep me anxious or on edge. It was so stressful to be on alert all the time to make sure he didn’t do it.

Ex narc swore to me he did not cheat on his wife. I've had confirmation that he did. He had the audacity to say "don't believe what she tells you". Wow.

Thanks, Andrew. Exactly. Even when the narcissist goes on to eternity, there is an unsuspected individual(s) who reveals himself/herself. They knowingly and deliberately continue on exactly where the narcissist left off. I got what appeared to be a planned attack from a couple of unexpected neighbors. Additionally, my 38-year-long friend revealed what the two of them had been doing behind my back. It all appeared pre-planned. I am grateful to know who else needs to be no-contact but still. Evidently, narcissists don't expend any effort to develop themselves.

My narc mother loved to create Competition between me and my sister…I never once in my life felt like I wanted to compete, I loved my sister and wanted to have a fun, loving relationship. After 45 years of the smear campaign, her incessant triangulation, scapegoating me and making me the reason for any family problems…my narc mother managed to completely destroy our relationship. That’s her biggest accomplishment in life. What a pathetic loser. She was in Competition with me from the minute I was born. It is, also from my experience the narcissist takes from others, and then there's the narcissist that believes only in buying people, or taking from one giving to another inorder to keep then in this bond. I witnessed both. Actually since I broke free from my mother toxic presence in my life, she became desperate, she deposited amounts money few times, and expected me to come at once and answer. I asked what the money was for, she pretend that it's presents. She also never respected my time or boundary, I have no other choice but continue contact. This was one example of narcissist person, there are many of course. Thank you.

I'm very particular who I listen to at all on the topic. I had two major narcs to deal with at close range. I love your authenticity and integrity. I don't know your whole background, but every video has application 100% in my history which I am still healing and discovering issues in layers. I am educating others. People call with their concerns, and I share what I've learned, including more recently, your poignant insights. The "c"s in narcissism? I thought one would be "cobras" , because my ex who was in the medical field told me to get a baby cobra and then you can bring it up and it would be your best friend. Well, I just spoke to a man from India who owns a store and it is NOT in the nature of a cobra to be nice. He told me even a baby cobra can bite you and a person could die within 30 seconds. I am so glad I got the truth from this man from India. He told me cobras are very dangerous whether they are baby cobra or not. Makes me sick to know how my ex, who was a person in the medical field told me this. What a liar. What was he trying to do? Get me to buy a cobra? I think someone should confront him with a cobra and see how he likes it. Makes me sick.

Great explanation of coercion.. this term is not talked about enough.. control really is the biggest thing.. and side note: coercive control is a criminal offence in most states down here, if not all.. Yet I feel it’s not enough just to criminalise it because it’s a “subtle” and “sneaky” form of mistreatment.. flavour of the week is spot on.. every time you use the term, it reminds me of a song from the early 2000s of the same name.. yet another song likely written about a narc!!.. might have to listen to it again and really hear the lyrics 🤔.. narcs are only there for “health concerns” during the euphoric stage.. after that you’re just “in their way”.. and triangulation with other couples? True thing! .. Hey Andrew, do you have any information on the psychopathic narcissist? This was both my father and my ex husband. They're different than the general narcissist. PNs are all I've ever known because the first PN made me emotionally numb for the second one. (I'm not that way anymore.)
