In this video I will coach you on how to succeed at a Walgreens job interview. To do this I will share with you the most common questions asked in Walgreens interviews and show you how to plan great answers that will land you a job with their pharmacy.

I had an interview with them yesterday and they offered me the job today. There were 8-10 questions total and most of them were behavioral based questions. The questions I remember: 1. What hours can you work? 2. Tell me about a time you went above and beyond to help a customer. 3. Tell me about a time you helped another employee and what was the outcome? 4. Why do you want to work at Walgreens? 5. Tell me about a time you were inspired by someone else's actions. 6. Where did you work previously and what did you do at that role? 7. Are you currently in school? 8. Tell me about a time where a customer was irate. What was the situation and how did you handle it? 9. Edit: After reading the comments, I also remember the question: You saw a team member was having a bad day a couldn’t get their work done efficiently, what would you do? Keep in mind these questions may or may not be the exact questions you'll get, but they'll be similar. I asked him how often they update the questions and he said 3-5 years. My recommendations: Watch a few videos on what to say and what not to say in an interview. If you've had previous work experience in retail, you will do fine. My biggest piece of advice - Forget the "interview". Treat it as a conversation with another buddy. They won't be mean to you. Walgreens needs employees badly. It's not like they're gonna smack you in the face if you mess up a question. Just be yourself and you'll do fine :) There were 2 people interviewing me and they just read questions from a packet. The first question they asked didn't make sense. The first interviewer says to the other interviewer: "Does this question make sense to you?" The other guy: "No" First Interviewer: *scratches question off packet* I laughed.

I got interview today as a customer service associate at Walgreens. I got the job and it was pretty easy. I'm pretty introverted myself but even I had to come out of my shell during the interview. I only had one job before interviewing at Walgreens. I've only worked at McDonald's for a couple of months before hand. Here's some advice... If the person interviewing you is personable, match his or her energy. He or she will be asking you a lot of questions in regards to how you will handle things if you got hired. To answer these questions you may want to use previous experiences from your past jobs, from your high school year, or you could explain what you would do if you were in that situation. Say things that would make you seem like a nice person and a goody two shoes while also seeming honest. Lastly, tell yourself that it is showtime. Showtime means that you put on a different persona... a happier, enthusiastic persona. That's how i did it. Good luck!

Ariana Trejo Questions like "how would you handle a co-worker who is having a bad day," "describe a time where you had to satisfy an unsatisfied customer," "describe a time where you helped someone or an organization for a good cause (like donations or something. I said something along the lines of helping my friends in high school with a fund raiser in which i made fund-raising more intriguing and effective)," and, "describe a time when you received positive feedback from a co-worker (I recommend saying something that makes you look better as an individual)." If you can't think of any... dont say "uhhhhh" or "ummm." You can lie with some of the things you say but not everything! Hope that helps

I just had my interview and the only question they asked from this video is What is your availability? In reality they ask difficult questions and none that you find on the internet. You will have to think on your feet because you won’t be prepared. I think I did well though fingers crossed.

Name a time you could say you were a team player, tell me about the situation and what you did? Tell me about a time you boosted morale ? Wish I could remember them all but I can’t .By the way I got the job but I ended up quitting because I really didn’t like it.Once hired you have to take tests on videos you watch every week. It is non-stop and everyone has to take them even employees that have been there for years.You are expected to do it in between customers BUT you never have enough time,the tests and video are usually 45 min long and you end up guessing answers and management even encouraged you to just guess and not really watch because no time to do it right. So you don’t really learn & If you guess wrong though u have to watch that portion of the video again until you get it right. When a situation for example ordering a product for a customer arises you don’t know how because you never learned it in the video you didn’t really watch lol There is no one around to help .You end up calling management who can get aggravated.Oh and expect to stay overtime to complete if you haven’t finished the test by the short deadline given because you ran out of time while busy doing other work. Every Monday they have a meeting with associates They have a chart they go over with you that rates store figures,weekly tests,customer complaints, holes ( empty spaces that weren’t filled in the store) etc.They tell you what needs to be improved and you have to sign off on it. There are extreme couponers that come in with 20 coupons and it is hard to get straight there ever changing coupon acceptance policy. You are not just a cashier you do stock too and also work in the photo area which gets hectic helping customers with photos ,printing out photos, calling customers also taking pictures for passports.You wire money for customers through Western Union & hand out packages of ship to store orders for customers .The phone system is complicated and all codes that are used to transfer calls you are expected to memorize in a day because nothing is written down. You are left alone on your first day after about 2 hours with a buddy. Good luck ! OH and also they are open EVERY holiday. Christmas Eve they have EXTENDED hours 7am to midnight. Christmas Day back to normal hours which is 7am - 10pm but yes they are open and you are expected to work... They only hire part time but that doesn’t stop them from scheduling you for 9 hour shifts and an extra day off so you still end up with part time hours by the end of the week. If you work over 5 hours you get a half hour unpaid lunch .They never give breaks no matter how long your shift is. I also want to add that the videos you see on the internet that portray working at Walgreens as a laid back place to work are very misleading. One of the “ associates” claims that she just fills in lollipops to pass the time. lol there is no time to pass you are always doing something and you don’t have to find something to do to keep you busy. Incase you are wondering I applied for the cashier position.LOL

Yes it can happen. Not certain but it can especially if you keep your eye on a permanent job and have really good performance.

Walgreen's the store at Stetson/Sanderson in the City Of Hemet has a major civil litigation nightmare waiting to happen.. The female employee lives at 851 San Pablo drive City Of Hemet she has been stealing credit card information from the disabled and senior citizen employees.. Then she goes online shopping having the stolen items sent to her home.. If that isn't bad enough she has been robbing homes of the disabled and elderly after dark in the City Of Hemet as well.. Why won't you investigate and terminate and push for criminal prosecution of the person you employ..

She basically just asked me if i knew the job i would be doing and all of the tasks, how id handle an angry customer, my availability, and it was like 15 mins in total tbh, went really well and i wore business casual clothing!

def make sure to note that you KNOW how much time you can handle, I tried to make myself appear very confident since I’m also a college student and needed her to know i can handle the workload. (Since I asked for 25-35 hours a week)
