My ex, and I were together for almost 14 years and he broke up with me in June last year. I’ve committed a lot of the mistakes here, but I’m praying that someway somehow things can get resolved. He was my fiancé, the father of my child, my best friend, and we have known each other since childhood, he’s currently dating a girl and it’s killing me. I started no contact March 16 and I have been doing OK but I still have a lot of anxiety. I’m sure you’re gonna tell me my chances are gone but I’m praying that history love family will prevail.

Don't assume anything. Just work on you and get out there & have fun. If it's meant to be he will come back. It may be months or years. By then you may or may not have moved on. Read How Men Think for some insight. It may help you understand what you could have done to cause the breakup or help you with a future relationship. No one can predict another's actions. No one has that control other than the person and their behaviors.

Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to move on, I really loved her so much i can’t stop thinking about her and the memories we shared. I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail. I’m frustrated, and i don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts, but i can’t.

I have been in such a situation. My relationship ended about three years ago, but i could not let her go. So i had to do all i could to get her back, i had to seek the help of a spiritual adviser who helped me bring her back. We are back together, and i must say i am enjoying every moment.

You'll get there. I thought the same about a year ago after around 4 months of being dumped. Now I really don't care and the fact that she quickly moved onto somebody else made me see that she was never mine anyway- it was just my turn. You'll get to the same place I promise. Focus on yourself.

I understand what you're saying, but each person has his/her own reasons for why they either choose or at least try to get back together with an ex or let go totally. Granted, not all relationships are meant to be salvaged, especially abusive ones and/or one that involve numerous instances of infidelity, but some are worth saving. This all depends on what kind of relationship you have and if you decide to move on or fight for it. There is no wrong answer on whatever your decision is. :-) Anyway thanks for your input!

Great video thankyou. I will have been 6 months NC next week since day 1 of the breakup after 8 years together (engaged also). I've done zero pleading, begging or other contact, I just accepted it for what it was. I've also been off all social media during this time. I just don't think she'll ever reach out. Its sad but I'm slowly becoming realistic its over for good. I scored 67% on the quiz so not looking great.

After 5 years, we broke up at the end of December, kind of mutually. There were a few weeks afterwards where we met up, talked about us, but ultimately he then ended it at the end of January. I played it well back then - no contact, focused on improving myself - and he reached out to me. But then, I did everything wrong and was way further ahead in the relationship than he was. Part of it was a reaction to the fact that I had been distant in the months before we broke up before and I was intentionally trying to do things differently. I found a note he wrote while we were broken up that he didn't think he'd find anyone else like me and that he didn't want to plan his life without me in it. However, by the time I saw it I didn't realize that his feelings had actually changed. My pushing our relationship and insecurity about us was so not like me - I'm usually pretty confident, and was especially confident about us in the past. He broke up with me (again) a week ago. Not sure what I want right now (other than no contact and to have time to figure things out) but did I ruin my chances by being desperate and over the top?

Although it's a normal reaction, showing an ex how desperate you are to save the relationship actually chips away at your chances as it will only reinforce the idea that they've done the right thing to break up with you and will only make your ex feel guilty for not being able to reciprocate anymore. Please redo the "no contact" rule and make sure you stick to it this time. For me it doesn't look very well. I dated my ex for 8 years we broke up about a year ago, but got back together for 3 months. Which, after that she found a new guy on Fortnite, telling me that he was just her gay friend, couple months down the road in March she finally tells me that she's dating him and that she's actually going to move out and move to Chile to live with him and on the 30th of March She's going to go see him for 2 weeks in Chile.I'm absolutely devastated and don't even know what to do.

Hey Brad, I'm new here.. So my ex did come back after some while, asking for a friendship. It was going well until she suddenly mentioned she wasn't over me 100%, and was still getting flashbacks / dreaming of us still being together / jealousy Now she said that, but a day later when we met to talk, said that she doesn't want to try again and stay as friends, despite what is going on in her head. I went NC again with her now, saying that I can't be friends with her. She's been acting cold and distant since then again. As a side fact: she is struggling mentally a bit. Nothing serious, but she is unwell and that also reflects on her friendships. She is in a state of: I want to do this, but in 1 day I want to do something else... Please review the situation.. I would appreciate that.

I find that this kind of behaviour coming from your ex is somewhat expected after a fresh/recent breakup. That's why you ought to give it enough time where there's totally no contact between you and your ex for at least 30 days. A wide array of different emotions coming from an ex is somewhat expected when a breakup is still fresh and this includes the likelihood of your ex giving you mixed or weird signals. A breakup hurts both people in it regardless of who has done the breaking up. At almost 5 months, he contacted me to say hi. Over the course of the next month he texted hot and cold, happy and angry, finally told me he couldnt talk to me anymore cuz he had a new girlfriend. A month later, after silence from me, he reached out again- this time calling and spending hours talking to me. He mentioned he went out with her due to lonliness. He said he had wanted to move back to our state, but couldnt because of a legal problem he and the new girl of 2/3 months, were in. He told me to go out with others then got angry when I said I had . After 2 weeks, he said we couldnt talk because it was too hard. Its been 2 weeks of NC again. Sooooo........ almost 8 months since break-up, whats our chances now? We had lived together 7 years.

Stop talking to him. It looks like he has made his choice despite still having some lingering feelings towards you. He has to make a solid decision to choose you if really wants to... but you can't make that for him, unfortunately. If you remain in contact when he's still in an albeit tumultuous relationship with someone else, it will only make it harder for you to make progress in your own life. Not a really good score but I've seen worse scores. Anyway fading fast and therefore the need to act fast means to play your cards right from the get-go and not mess things up further, basically. It's totally okay to cry your eyes out (just NOT in front of your ex and definitely not in social media), this is healthy, but try to balance it with other stuff. So keep your mind occupied, get busy with a lot of stuff like hobbies, work, etc. focus on what makes you feel good and take time to heal as well. Being friends has the potential of more heartbreak for you. If he moves on to a committed relationship, or keeps dating other women, the friendship will likely slowly dissolve. As much as I wanted to remain friends I chose not to for that reason. I was hurting, possibly wanting to be hopeful, and knew he wanted to date other women while holding onto me so I declined the friendship so as not to keep getting hurt. Now it's dealing with respecting his wishes and working on me, grieving and moving on. If he comes back he comes back. If he doesn't he doesn't. At least I have memories and feelings that I will take to my grave because of the bond we had. You can do everything right and still fail.❤

move on, do you want to be with somebody who doesn't value you? Do you want to live many many years with this behavior? Life is too short to be with someone who doesn't see your value, even if they change their mind lately, it's like slapping someone and then immediately apologize, it just doesn't work right? I'm devastated too, I've been dumped in January and i did everything for her, yet still, remind yourself everyday that they made a decision not because it's your fault, but because they simply don't want you in their life.

This isn't really a concerning issue, at least initially, unless you've done something really epic to mess things up or really hurt your ex, there's no reason to worry as much, really, because it could be due to the reasons I've stated on this vid: y2u.be/s52sRweJlm8 So give it time. If you stay blocked after months though, then that’s another story, especially if you have no other means of communication or have no mutual friends.
