cool tips man, thank you so much! anyway, there's a much easier way to replace a sample! instead of open the file manager and search the name of the sample you want to replace like you did in the video, simply right click on the sample name in the clip editor, and click "manage files". this will open the manage files window, but only for the chosen sample! then click the swap button, and you'll be able to navigate in your library and change the sample by double clicking on another one :D

@@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic I've noticed at 7:30 and onward your CPU tends to jump up like that. Do you know why that is? I had the similar problem with my CPU, I had Win7 and a lower end CPU (AMD Phenom II x4 810) and in Ableton, while the index was scanning for files, CPU would jump up to over 100% for a second or two, that was until I upgraded to Win10. 😛 But I'm gonna upgrade to a 2700x. Just asking for the future if it does it again.

Audio Sample replacement is huge! Coming from FL and just being able to drag/drop on existing sample was a breeze...glad we're able to do kinda the same thing in Ableton.

1:00 if you click just there, at the name of the sample with right click in Windows and click open ''manage sample file'', it will open the window were you can replace that file/sound instantly :) and you will not have to search the file/sound, because it will be already highlighted :D

Hey Andrew have you ever faced problems with refresh rate on Ableton Live? I mean it lags on 120 or 144hz ? How did you fix it if you had any?

The rumor has it that Ableton wil no longer work on updates and development of new features. While other companies like Logic, fl studio, bitwig, etc. Release amazing new features on regular bases. So sad and time to move on to another DAW.

That doesn't make any sense, why wouldn't they continue to develop the software?

@@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic They don't, their last update was "Updated various Chinese info text translations". I doubt they put any serious work into any enhancements unlike all other DAWs. Sadly and unfortunately. Trying hard to find a different DAW, I wish I was on Mac I would definitely go to Logic, It's so much better, I am not a mac person though. :(
