Own a 2007 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi with 200k miles. Well engineered, well built, and easy to work on. I just finished replacing the original Fuel Pump, Water Pump, and Radiator. I have noticed the white residue on the oil cap so thanks for mentioning the cause of that!

2003 2500 slt 4x4 just replaced both batteries also filled it up and before when I turn no issues since then when I turn or u-turn it dies. It's a Diesel 203000 miles on it. Got it used. 5.9L

2002 had transmission slippage at 24k miles and head gasket cracked open at 82k. Plus electrical timing module went out, steering went bad, and brake lines froze up. Regular maintenance did not help. Put more money into repairs than what I paid for it. A real lemon! Am now driving a Honda Ridgeline.

I miss my 06 Dakota with the 4.7. 05-13 were the better years for the 4.7. So long as you did the maintenance it would keep going, it never gave me a single problem in the time I had it.

I hope you answer this question, 1996 ford f150 4.9 engine if it has a manifold absolute pressure sensor or map sensor for short. Also where it's located then. By Vin dealer parts guy says he can't find it in the break down and not sure if it has one or not. Bill date exact is 12/95.

for 150 1996 there is no map sensor and instead there is a maf sensor and in general all cars before 2000 don't have map and they use the maf sensor which is located in the air line after the filter

I have same Truck the maf sensor is in the air tube line or air box . I have a kand n intake on mine and it had me relocate the sensor to read the temp in engine bay .

The last 3yrs with mine...replaced head gasket (passenger side) ran me lil over $1100 (did the motor work myself)..last yr & this yr slowly replacing then entire front end goin end up round $1800 all together. Truck is paid for with lil over 133k mls 2004 w/4.7 nothin fancy just a daily driver that i don't mind droppin a few Franklin's into it keep ole blue rollin along. Id rather drop $1k into this trk a year than havin a dam $700-800 + $150-200 insurance pymt each month with these dam trucks of today

My transmission temp light just recently turned on for the first time ever...don’t know the exact problem but the truck runs fine as usual

They should have stuck with the 5.9 L Magnum . never had any real problems with that eng or trans . ran up to 380,000 miles on that 5.9 L. The Frame broke on the truck and I sold the motor and trans with over 300,000 miles on that drivetrain ! 3rd Generation Rams ? Yeah that's why the head Rings fall out on your so-called third generation eng !

I think these are the ones that squat like crazy if you hook anything to it like a boat or another vehicle, that should be a problem in this video unless spending 1500 on a capable struts and shocks for an expensive pickup is what you like

Umm very odd mopar man myself 4.7s are junk 5.7 are ok when they run More problems on the 5.7 you didn't mention they love to eat lifters and wear cams out not to mention they will drop valve seats at any time until 09 when they went eagle heads so yeah they do have a few minor issues😂😂😂

I was very surprised on how lifters were not added to list of problems? I have a 03 1500 4.7 and just replaced the lifters but still have tapping from the passenger second back lifter( the famous lifters that is known to pop rite out) instead of asking people that do not even list this as a problem? I will ask a fellow mopar wrencher, do you think it could be when the lifter was wearing it may have caused deterioration on the rocker arm and the reason why I still have that lifter tap only on that one? Thanks in advance if you answered my question
