Small note on Good Chi Gang: As they are likely to each get attacked and killed, with the effect being an aura, you would be able to drop the health of other chi members before having to attack them. The massively buffed health is really only relevant towards AOE, which Chi Gang does actually serve as a fairly balanced counter to. More realistically, Chi gang 1 has 6 health, 2 has 5, 3 had 4, 4 had 3, and 5 has 2 for a total health of 20, not 30.

Another way to make Defective Timeline work would probably be to give it a mana cost, then have it add a random card to your hand as a secondary effect. That way it actually immediately applies its effect and no longer hurts your card economy.

Wild mode already has Twig of the World Tree into Blingtron. People experimented with it when Twig came out but it's only a fringe/meme strategy. Having more druid weapons would make the Twig combo more likely, but I don't think it would be as big a deal as he's thinking. That being said, druid is not a weapon class and I don't think we should be rushing to give them more weapons except under very rare circumstances.

@@Catangerine Sure, I'm not disputing that breaking your weapon for one is better than breaking your weapon for five, but since you have to have the Twig already equipped to get the benefit and you get the 10 mana output either way, I don't know that it would really be that much more powerful. But regardless of the specifics of this custom card, I was speaking more to Trump's assertion that the existence of ANY druid weapon is fundamentally broken in wild because of the Twig. Which, as I said, I don't know that that's true because that synergy already exists and nobody cares. I think if there was a problem it would be from having a critical mass of weapons, making it too easy to pull off consistently in the early turns of the game when it's the most back-breaking.

I don't think Friendly Guardian is too powerful. Viewed in isolation, it's a five mana card that does nothing except provide AoE resistance, while also filling two of your seven board slots so you can't take advantage of the AoE resistance. You can't just add two minion's stats together, because the distribution is extremely bad: the card would be far stronger as a 6/9 and 1/1 than as a 7/8 and 0/2. On Dinomancer, Rexxar, I'd make his Battlecry effect only apply while you're Dinomancer, Rexxar. Otherwise you'll lock yourself out of the game once your board fills with 0/3 fossils with no way to buff them. Instead of Crowd Roaster, I would compare Plume Dragon to Argent Commander. Both are 6 mana 4/2s which do 4 damage to an enemy by default.

Argent commander is not a dragon.... it is not as comparable to plume dragon than crowd roaster also imagine friendly guardian in an aggresive paladin deck

Friendly guardian is way too strong. You play it on 5, play an attack buff and trade on 6, and suddenly you have a 7/8 that can attack that will completely dominate the board, and you got value out of the 0/2. It would be a huge threat in zoo or an aggressive shaman.

The way you're valuing Good-Chi Gang's creation of stats is flawed because it's a static effect and not a battlecry. Killing one of them reduces the health of all the rest. It's not the same as just playing Spreading Plague if you're attacking into them. That's a gigantic difference.

The card is yellow when it's condition is justified. If you're not holding a dragon. So it should be yellow when you don't have a dragon. It's pretty conterintuitive though.

the one thing i'll say about good chi gang is that they aren't inherently 5 1/6s, 4 1/5s, etc. because once you kill one, they all lose one health. that makes it a lot weaker when you're behind, but it's still so strong when you're ahead and more resilient to aoe which is the direction you'll want to take it.

wandering mummy might be my favorite custom card ever, it's the only custom card I've ever saw that I would think was an actual card, it fits so well with LoE and it's effect is pretty good in some decks that run pyro, I absolutelly adore that card

How can you argue that Druid can never have a weapon because of Twig? Do you forget Blingtron exists? It's really not a game breaker in wild currently and I can't imagine it ever will be. Druid can already ramp and combo like crazy in wild. Other decks do wild shit too. No big deal.

Friendly Guardian could work in odd mage too. And Gucci Gang was TOTALLY lost on trump, but no surprise there. I wonder if Alternate Universe would be balanced if it was only spells/minions, or simply, said all choose one cards (thus hero power wouldnt count) And finally, I wonder how itd be if the wild random effect would be ok if it was like, say, an alternate toki. 6 mana, 5/5, (while on the board) random effects can generate wild cards. It'd have only brief lifespan, then. Thoughts on them all?

I'd say the best way to balance Defective Timeline would be to make it into a quest. That way it's not only in your hand at the start and still cheap, but it could provide an additional buildaround incentive. No idea how you would balance the quest requirements though, I couldn't tell you even for a second how the power level of this card might operate once it's in effect.

3:48 While I'm not a fan of having more random garbage and OTK stuff, this one would be a turn 17 OTK. Druid can OTK you 5 turns before that, so I don't see this card being able to deal 30 damage on turn 17 (can't even kill warriors, other druids, hunters with a protective secret)... Mecha'thun kills you way faster than that, and there's nothing any class can do to stop it. Edit: 7:06 Twig of the world tree shenanigans aside, the card being slightly better than a card no one plays, doesn't make it too strong. I think it *might* be too strong, but for a different reason, not about comparing to a different card; Think it might be too strong because druid has 50 armor while rogue have 0. This card means you can kill 4 huge minions, something that rogues can't do (even just 5 attack minions would take them down to 10, while druid won't even feel it). Last edit: Crowd Favorite * 2? Twig of the wild? Trump, you're drunk, get home!

I'm pretty sure Branching Paths works with Alternate Universe. It just triggers ALL the options you didn't pick, so playing it once adds _four_ effect triggers to the pile.

Late, I know, but I don’t think the Good-Chi gang would be that bad, actually. Because yeah, they give other minions +1 health, but it’s an aura. So you kill one and the whole gang looses health. They get weaker as you pick them off. I think it works very well.

in fairness to good chi gang, every time you kill one you're also effectively dealing one damage to everything else on the board, so it wouldn't really be a 5 30 but that's still pretty busted either way

With the "targets chosen randomly" I was thinking that the Druid of the Claw choose one would target a minion - after all the battlecry isn't "summon", it's "transform", and transformation needs something to transform to happen.. But yeah since the battlecry isn't targetable it might be more consistent with how Hearthstone works for it to work how Trump described it.

Couldn't disagree more with Trump's review of Good-Chi Gang. It's no more broken than Spreading Plague, and, more importantly they may be 1/6 taunts on 10 mana, but as soon as you kill one they're 1/5 taunts, then 1/4 taunts, etc. With Plague you could get (for 6 mana, not 10 (or even 5 pre-nerf)) 7 1/5s with Taunt, and on turn 10 with Strongshell Scavenger you could get 6 3/7s with Taunt, which is wayyyy more powerful than 5 1/6s with Taunt which lose health as surrounding minions die, and that combo didn't see much play anyway. Design: 5 stars, Balance: 5 stars

I see no problem with Plume dragon and crowd roaster being in the same meta, after all, we can currently play fire elemental on turn 6, and then Blazecaller turn 7 ("too much of the same").

Would a possible balance to Alternate Universe be that it only activates unique choose ones that weren't chosen? That way if you've used both modes of your hero power, it'll play neither and even if you used only one, it'll only play the other once.

Plume Dragon is considerably better than Argent Commander (unless going face). Given that, I think Plume Dragon should only be able to target minions (like Crowd Fav-I mean, Roaster).

I think Hero cards (not Death Knights, those were just the first batch) are a decent place to put value. From Jaraxxus (the sneaky first hero) till things like Dr. Boom, they've been generating consistent value. Priest, for example, would probably really like a value engine considering how control heavy the class is.

2:33 it's comparable to mechanical whelp. Technically, the stats are worse since whelp is a 6 mana 2/2 + 7/7 whereas this is a 5 mana 7/8 + 0/2. It's actually way worse because this card isn't inherently activatable but the 7/8 is able to attack the turn after it's played whereas the 7/7 in whelp normally can't. There's also some discussion to be had on the maiden getting silenced and the card being bricked and then we can compare it to some of the other "can't attack cards" and what if we run it in silence priest in which case I think this card is worse than all the other "can't attack" carsd

horde judge is broken in shaman with evolve and unstable evolution. turn 2 coin into horde judge into unstable is gg against most decks.

Really though 1 star for balance with alternate universe cause the dk combo. Despite how much card draw a druid has i feel like that combo would be a little unreliable and there are much faster 0tks in the current meta as is.

6:30 That's a ridiculous claim. A very simple solution to the "replace the twig" problem is to make any druid weapon be an end game weapon. If it costs 8+ mana, then who cares that its gets refunded in the fringe scenario that you have twig out already. To add any CHEAP druid weapons, what he said is true.

Good-Chi Gang doesn't really give you 5 1/6 Taunts for 10. It gives you a 1/6, a 1/5, a 1/4 and so on. Sure, they're resilient to boardclears, but it's still worth considering they get weaker as you kill more of them.

Good Chi gang would only be 5 20 on 10 mana because when you kill one the others would drop 1 hp

+3/+3 heropower isn't too crazy? Maybe not, but comparing it to dinomancy is really selling it short. I'd compare it more to Bloodreaver, which does 3 damage and gives 3 health.

I honestly feel like good-chi gang isn't as strong as you made it sound. Considering once you kill one you get ride of its effect potentially getting ride of 6 health. And then once you kill one the others are easier to kill

Guardian should became enemy minion if Maiden died because you killed her - like if you used backstab etc, not if you buffed her and she died because attacked enemy minion.

How is a 2 card kill combo that coan't be done until turn 18 to strong. That is just when fatigue starts so it would loose to all combo decks.

When a card is op since you can otk with it if you’ve had death knight for at least ten turns. Most otks/combo decks are way easier then that.

Just because something is an OTK doesn't make it automatically overpowered. Playing Malfurion and using the hero power 10, and playing alternate universe could be done on turn 18 at the ABSOLUTE EARLIEST. The card might be bad for other reasons, but an OTK deck that relies on that much time as their best case scenario would not be very good.

So if you did overwrite Dinomancer, Rexxar then you would still summon the 0/3 fossil. However, since you can't buff it with your hero power anymore it's a serious negative as it risks filling your board with 0/3 useless minions. Am I missing something here?
