Thank you for bringing into the spotlight the 57. This has inspired me to bring mine out from the back of my gun safe where it has been sitting neglected for too long.

I had absolutely no interest in any 5.7x28 pistols until I saw Fiocchi (Range Dynamics) ammo selling for around 40 cents a round. I found the M&P 5.7 pistol to shoot the best for me. I found it to be the best based on price to performance.

First off i have to say you guys make a great team and look forward to your videos. I recently jumped on the 5.7 band wagon so to speak picked up the psa rock optics ready threaded barrel and 8 extra mags as a "blem" package and really like it. I will however say out of the box the trigger sucked balls! Dry fired the snot out of it prior to shooting and works very well now. I also built an aero precision lower assembly and picked up one of the ar57 uppers that run ps90 mags and its a very sweet setup shoots excellent. Im digging the round and glad prices coming down and getting more choices. Again great video please keep them coming and thanks for letting me ramble on. Stay strapped and stay safe!

The FN57 safety placement is truly faster than thumb safety when drawing from holster. Absolutely love it.

Since i started to get into firearms I've wanted one of the 5.7 uppers for an AR, the upper that uses P90 mags. They went out for awhile but looks like they are back and now with M-Lok handguard.

I have always had an interest in the 5.7, but price kept me away. However, Ammo prices have come down and S&W is giving a $75 rebate right now. I couldn't resist it. It reminds me of having a miniature AR 15 in a pistol. Virtually no noticeable recoil it's amazing. I liked this video and your honest opinions, there are a lot of haters on the internet. I would like to see more videos like this from you two.

S&W definitively has the best 5.7 on the market right now. That being said i chose the PSA rock. The 5.7 doesn’t have a serious application for me other than some occasional fun. So i didn’t see any good reason to spend that much on a gun chambered in it. The rock is a fantastic gun for the price. But if you want the best of the best, get the Smith.

Never heard someone use Husker Du in that context. I know of the board game and the awesome band.

Thanks again for great info and entertainment! I had the Ruger and traded it (bad choice) in a deal and I'll get another. I'd never get the FN, and, despite my love of S&W wheel guns, I can't get into their autos. Had an M&P and HATED it, but I also had a Springfield 1911 longslide (ported) and hated that, too. Might just be "luck of the draw", but I'll take my Kimber in 1911, my Glocks (after ya work on em), my Dad's model 12 for pheasants and "preferably" hand skills on the home front, but "My Daddy taught me there's no such thing as a fair fight". Semper Fi, gentleman.

I agree with safety on the FN…I had one and sold it due to the awkward safety and went with the S&W without the safety and love the platform.

I have, shoot and like the Ruger 57

I had to really modify my veddar holster but it's a great holster when I modified the light version I think there non light holster is better set up with the claw and level ride hight I like my guns to sit low .I don't have a ccw I can get one but have choosen not to so I like it when a holster really conceales my gun .

Outstanding

It's a fun round to shoot. It shoots flat, straight, and give you no recoil. Any time I shot one through a medium and could track its path, not a single bullet when straight through. They tumble like a 556 but also bounce around inside the target and do a lot of damage along the way. Your exit wound might be 12 inches offset from the entry. I'm not surprise to hear about the results of that terrorist attack. The PS90 is more fun than the pistol with a 50-round mag, and the rounds are so light you can carry a bunch of loaded mags without any trouble.

I have the 57 Ruger rifle. To match with the pistol. I use it as much get home family.

I edc the M&P 5.7, had to modify a Shield 2.0 holster to carry it which works quite well.

Im eying the S&W 5.7

Dorr I'm waiting for the Star Wars Blaster or Star Trek Phaser to come out. Ruger and better trigger. I never thought I would hear that. I love Rugers. They are work horse guns. Nothing Gucci about them. I shot a .22LR inside of a cab of a pickup truck when I was in High School. Never again. I couldn't imagine what a 5.7 would do in that situation. My ears are ringing just thinking about it.

So funny the raccoon comment as I had my dd5v3 lookin at em in my big yard mins ago but could never kill 1 as I’ve had bandit for 7yrs now and can’t stand see one dead in road…smartest pet I’ve ever had…where I live in Ky no such thing as overpenetration or that guns too big stuff…it’s more like..will that do it..and how many rds does it hold…so a d50 in dd .308 is my choice..man what a rifle too..

I don't have experience with the round, but as I understand it the cartel wanted FN57s because they defeat soft armor... so Erick Holder sold em bunch... at least that's what I read.

The PSA Rock comes threaded or not, cut for optics or not. Also, highest capacity of the pistols (p50 aside).
