Totally agree 💯 been living on top floor for over 10 years now

I have lived on top floor for 4 years. I faced issues, such as leakage and heat. Had to wait for lifts for long time. During load shedding, the diesel generator stopped working and lifts stopped working for 8 hours. I had to climb up and down 9 floors. Since then I have always lived on the first or second floor.

_I live on the 12th top floor in Karachi._ *Advantages of Top/Last floor* ====================== 1. No floor after top floor only roof after this so no any anoying sounds or disturbense from uper floor residents. 2. Top floor has a wider and fantastic City View 3. Top floor corridors are much cleaner than other floors and high privacy because your floor is the last floor, so no one goes through your floor to other floors by stairs, And also unnecessary persons are not coming to the last floor so you also feel more secure & safe compared to lower floors. only needy person or last floor resident person will go to top floor. 4. Top floor has more wind and air flow. Top floor apartment has more Breezy & Windy 5. Very quiet atmosphere, No sounds coming from ground traffic or shops, and also no Mosquitos/flys etc 6. when lifts will come to Last/top floor it usually empty. 7. Top last floor resisdents have opportunity from builders to purchase roof and construt on it or use solar panels on it. 8. Top floor coridor has natural light come from roof/sky because it is last floor right under the building roof. 9. Usally Top floor apartment cost is cheaper than other floors 10. in winter your appartment is more cooler then other floors. *Dis-Advantages of Top/Last floor* ========================= 1.Roof heat in Summer - but today roof coatings can solve this problem 2.Lift takes time to reach last floors. but if more then 2 lifts then it also solve this problem 3.Water pressure Problem but if water lines are properly mananged then no problem.

Totally agree. I am living on Top floor (25th Floor). I was looking for any higher floor, but I am so glad that I got the Top floor. Mosquitos are so less at that height. View is great. The clouds during rains looks so amazing. Lower floor flats also have problems of water dripping from balconies of upper floors (from plans, cloths etc). I am glad that in Delhi people don't want top floor due to perception - thats why I got it in around 10 lakhs less than lower floors.

This is real experience 👍👍👍 All points are very much valid and practical. I would like to add one more point specifically to affordable flats people throw garbage, cigrate buds etc from their balconies. This causes lot of issues on lower floors.

Yes sir aap ne sahi kaha . Koi leakage issue nahi bocoz of advance construction. Light, air and view badiya milta hai. Top floor clean jada hota hai. Aur shor kam hota hai. Bas lift me extra time lagta hai

1. Open space zada hai. 2. Sunlight zada rahti h toh ghar ki light 6 bje tak nahi jalti. 3. Ac shyad zada lagta hai. 4. Upar koi nahi. 5 side and upar ki roof is for use. 6. Well ventilated 7. Dust is no issue. . Jaali darwaza not required 8 Park view. Far off highway view Nearby societies can be viewed 9. Privacy is awesome. View is great. .

Top floor in builders floor has high demand however in big societies top floor consumers are not much it's good for self purpose but not good for resale purpose.

अमित आप दो फायदे गिनाना भूल गए। 1. भूकंप आने की स्थिति में आप दूसरों पर जाकर गिराने आप पल कोई नहीं गिरेगा। 2. आग लगने की स्थिति में हेलीकॉप्टर से सहायता सबसे पहले आप ले सकोगे।

How about water pressure in shower and others in Top Floor ? Is pressure Jet usually provided ?

Yes, i deliberately choosed top 12 th floor with private terrace. There was problem of high temperature. But i decided to install Solar electricity panels on additional temporary Gazebo/ room. This will decrease heat problem. But everyone just enjoy the views and privacy from 12 floor which all the members envy my flat.

RHB Chinab Apartment Jaipur top floor :- Eight ( 4x1000 ltr + 4 x500 ltr ) water tank is there on top floor, without proper basement (Stone slabs).Tanks overflow normally everyday. Water seepage throughout the year spoiled all ceiling , walls and plaster falling. Every time a new painting emerge on wall.

Mindset of people here north india is also changing slowly n i believe in cmng year's people will more likely look for higher floors if not too n specially youngsters....

Before buying a top floor do consider safety. emergency escape is very difficulty especially for senior citizen. Fire fighting equipment if to be used from ground can only extinguisher fire upto 7th floor, Rescue via crane is not possible above 7th floor... Always have a mideset for safety. Water comes from top to bottom, but fire goes from bottom to top... we can decide what is safe. I am working in MNC, our company always avoid booking hotel rooms above 7th floor.

In my opinion, lower floor just to Top floor is best. Heat will not be direct and others facilities are same like top floor.

Thank you sir for useful information. Will share my experience. I stay at 11th top floor from last one year. Disadvantage: In summer cloths in cabinet also get hot. AC is must in summer. Water pressure is little less comparatively. In rainy season because of wind rain can come inside if windows are open. Need to leave for office 5 minutes early due to lift takes time during rush hour. Advantages: View is awesome. Privacy is great. Sound pollution is also minimal. Gets too cold in winter. Lots of light Infact you will have to buy blackout curtains. Less disturbance in corridor. Access to terrace. Got discount of almost 5lacs compared to 2nd last floor in Pune The advantages are more. Now I have bought a flat at 22nd floor mivan construction top floor :-) Go for top floors it has bunglow like feeling

The big issue is - water pressure very low compared to lower flats and water Leakage problem from roof / terrace is not addressed by management committee and one will see paint damage and water spots on walls or ceiling.

Guruji, We avoid top floor because reputed builder also do cost cutting, they use waterproofing solution while making slab (छत) and after 6 to 7 years later it started leaking. The thing is that Guruji Pune Mumbai and bangluru are facing more rain than other metro cities.

I think during earthquakes and fires living on higher floors can be extremely dangerous. In such situations even lifts cannot be used. Elderly and children will be at greatest risk at such times.

I have option to purchase 5th (top floor) and 4th. There are 4 storeyed buildings on south n west so they block d views. But d builder is providing a gym in d apartment which is righr above master bedroom of 5th floor. 5th has great ventilation n views on 3 directions while 4th has it only in one. I am bothered if gym would be noisy. Its an apartment of only 10 flats though. Builder is good we saw his other construction completer buildings. He is givng waterproofing and rubber matt for gym floor. There is also a gypsum false ceiling for 5th floor flat in all rooms. Still am not sure if nois would disturb me. I am sensitive to heat n noise but also love views n ventilation 😬. Can someone advice me correctly? 🙏
