It definitely was not on TV in America. Totally skipped this scene. Also on TV here we got the hover-van episode WITH the dude on the edge of the (thames?) river that was screaming at their antics, and I can't find that deleted scene anywhere!

These Top Gear deleted scenes are great to watch, simply because they are being more natural in front of camera. Not as scripted. Great fun.

What I loved most about top gear it was mostly banter between them and rarely scripting in their specials

Umm, you do understand that these are as scripted as the parts that make it into the show? You think they set up all the cameras for fun and try and make a 'relaxed to-be-cut-out scene'? If the show is 2 hours long, they'll likely shoot 10 or 20 times the length needed, and then do what's called editing.

Actually a manual 850R would be faster that the WRX. James had an automatic.

n00b1n4t0r actually the volvo is fwd a powerful 5 cylinder turbo motor which produces same power as the subarus motor the subaru is 150kg less 1400kg where the volvo is 1550kg subaru is awd so it gets off the mark with no problems makes perfect sense to me

The manual 850R gets 250hp instead of 240 and also has an LSD. The WRX may be all wheel drive but the sticky tires and the LSD which were stock on a 850R with manual transmition would get it faster of the line.

n00b1n4t0r no it wouldn't my v8 6L has a long 1st, heaps of low down torque, sticky tires, lsd, suspension upgrades and it smokes it rears off the line and with the perfect launch i cant keep up off the market, takes me to 2nd gear to rear them in and pass them. wrx's r really fast off the line, because a short first, awd and boost. ud need drag radicals.

v8 6L lots of torque. 5V turbo can manage it of the line. I have experienced both accelarating and i can say for sure that a manual 850R is faster
