Broadheads always seem to find their place as one of our hottest categories each year as bowhunters continue their search to find the best of the best in accuracy, dependability, and devastation on game. The 2020 year ushered in some impressive new broadhead options across the industry in both mechanical and fixed blade options. Here's a look at the top 10 broadheads we found at this year's ATA show, in no particular order.

There was a time...when I started hunting back in the '60s and before...when we could say that hunting for our meat was cheaper than going to the store. How times have changed, and it's not due to inflation. It's corporate greed, plain and simple.

Russell Langworthy I agree. Seems like bow hunting gets more expensive every year. It’s mostly a gimmick nowadays. Broad heads get more weird every year. Ohhhh it’s a hybrid, ohhhh it’s a wide 2 inch cut, big deal, give me a good old fashioned thunderhead and put it in the boiler room. Arrows are down right ridiculous as well. I quit buying 100 150 dollar for 6 and found black out envy 5 arrows at Cabelas. They shoot just as good out to 50 as anything else. Give you an example of broadhead companies and their over pricing. Thunderheads used to be 29 bucks for 5. You got more heads than other brands and a lower price. I assume that ppl were buying these since they were kinda cheap and simple because NAP raised the price. Now they are 39 or soo for 5. These archery companies come up with more gimmicks that are absolutely unnecessary. Keep it simple.

@@toddandangelbrowning2920 When Thunderheads first came out, around '85 or '86, I remember thinking how expensive they were compared to other broadheads. I was shooting Wasps, which were $18 for 6. Thunderheads were $22 for 6. Looking at it from today's standards, $4.00 is nothing, but back then I was only making $12.00 an hour, so that seemed like a lot. Now, like you said, they're $39.99 for 5, and sadly, we consider that a good price. I still use them and they work just as well or better than anything else out there.

@@russelllangworthy8855 just because all this new crap is coming out you don't have to buy it. When enough hunters decide not to be bandwagon idiots the sport will change. These companies know that if they come out with a new rage broadhead every year hunters will toss their old heads and "upgrade". It is our fault not the company's fault.

So many choices to review I can understand how someone visiting the ATA could be overwhelmed but I sure would have like to have seen the SEVR broadheads reviewed. So many advantages to these heads, the main ones being you can shoot the exact broadhead/arrow combination you are going to use into targets the remove a tiny set screw and add a small "o" ring and you're ready to hunt. Unlike Rages with that aggravating collar, SEVR's remove the risk of dangling a blade on the way to an animal. All titanium body, stainless blades, devastating entry and exit wounds and a competitive price put these heads at the head of the pack for me!

dheller777 I have used thunderheads for years. Simple design, hard hitting, no nonsense head. This year I have seen the price skyrocket. Used to be 29 bucks or so for 5, now it’s 39 for 5. I would bet that ppl were tired of these gimmicky heads and going back to what is proven and NAP raised the price. Sad actually, some guys I know can’t afford bow hunting anymore.

@@justinconrad5283 That's true. You get what you pay for. You know what else is true? There's a sucker born every minute. Anyone that would pay that much for broadheads is an idiot. The deer I kill with my "cheap" Thunderheads are just as dead as deer killed with those designer broadheads.
