Guys can we just remember that england won. How many times have we seen england "play well" and lost. 96, 98 etc etc. As a Liverpool fan we have played awfully and still won. This isn't gymnastics, you don't get points you just win or lose. With football becoming so uniform the blue print of defending and attacking is there for all to see. Games are tighter now. We don't see 4-0 or even 3-0 that often. Like him or not Southgate has helped us defeat so many past demons. Beating Germany in a major tournament, getting to a final, winning on penalties, winning in extra time. The man has won more knockout games than nearly any other england manager.
