Why did they ever grab EGR from the soot side of the exhaust was the epitome of the dumbest decisions ever it just wrecks the intake of the cylinder head and the Cummins design is the furthest you can get from ease of cleaning almost next to impossible with out pushing chunks into valve seats and combustion chamber. There is no reason for not grabbing EGR gases after the dam dpf! 😡🤬🤯

One other thing to check on the engine, do the jiggle test on the electrical connection for the air intake heater grid. If that thing is loose you could lose a bolt nut that gets sucked into cylinder 6 and can ruin your engine!

Got 2017 that I picked up brand new with 9 miles on it. Rolled 96500 today, no issues so far. Only been back to the dealership once for a transmission pan leaking from the factory rtv not sealed correctly at the rear of the pan. Has been just about the best truck I've ever owned. Fuel mileage is better than you would expect for a vehicle that weights this much. Consistently around 18.5 mpg, even with larger than factory tires.

We would just delete the codes and keep rolling. Went limp several times. Had to replace the turbo at 98k, did a fas fuel system sb intake and that’s when we did the delete. we replaced the transmission with a stage 3 fully rebuilt at 101k miles and the truck is day and night , 21k$ later I highly recommend. lmao oh yeah the key fob still sucks 😂😂

Ram 2500's solid live front axle does not corner like IFS if that is what you are familiar with. You'll find that you are either getting over steer feedback from the wheel or understeer feedback. You'll not find s sweet spot or fulcrum from steering feedback. You'll constantly feel like you are oscillating between under and over steer. It is a the trait of this front end. The tranny takes time to learn. It does not behave like a Allison but it is still a good transmission.

Gvwr isn't the towing capacity. Gvwr includes the weight of the truck. I.e., if the truck weights 7,000 lbs and has a gvwr of 20,000 lbs you have a capacity of 13,000 lbs.

Depends on the failure and the condition of the turbo. If the selector gear has full travel and you failure is actuator related, then just a actuator replacement is what the doctor ordered. Cleaning of that turbo also helps to keep that selector gear moving well.

I own a 2012 ram 2500 had original 6,7 Cummins in it. I blew up my engine and traded it off for some boot and received a 2014 6.7 to install. After investigation I found the the '14 will mechanically fit into my truck but it will not plug in. the plugs on the '14 engine I now have don't fit the wire harness plugs in my '12 truck. Unable to go back on the trade, long story, but im looking into finding another engine to purchase to get back into my truck. Overall, my main question that I'm needing experienced professional help with is, what year, model ram can I pull a compatible engine out of that will fit and plug into my 2012 2500. I have heard "10-"13 2500 engines will work. I have heard only '11-'12 2500 engines will work. I have heard '11-'12 3500 engines will work but nothing 4500 or bigger. I need some professional help here. I've already made a mistake once, I have to get this truck back on the road and I don't want to dig any deeper without correct direction. Thank you for what you all do, and any help, advice, or referrals in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

Mechanically, 07.5-12 PICKUP will work, however wiring harness will have to be sourced from the correct year truck. This will be the most seamless way for you to accomplish your goal.

Not lifetime though but with that mileage, you want be conscious of overall engine health and question the transmission build to make sure everything was done correctly.

I have a 2018 bought it new with 9 miles , at 34,000 the front seal went and now at 44,000 it broke a valve spring and bent a valve on # 6. Cost to fix 10,000 . I do have an extended warranty and I’m still waiting to see what they are going to pay.

Not on thus year truck but what is going on with the emmisions issues on the 2022? I'm hearing of horror stories and don't buy pleas. Do you have any videos on the engineering mistake made on the entire exhaust system of the 2022's so the videos are saying?

When you’re making a 30-50k investment it takes as long as it needs too. But keep in mind he’s discussing all the different possible configurations of the truck so you’ll only have to check the stuff that pertains to the truck your looking at.
